Ohhhh yeah, Breakfast Paris brings a touch of European charm. It departs from standard modern cafe and bakeries, but brings an authentic cafe experience imported from the other side of the Atlantic. The pain au chocolat was soooo good, it's a legendary pull. A lot of buttery layers over a rich chocolate center. It isn't overly sweet and the butter shines through. It's also a perfect pastry to share. To drink, their Americano is nicely made. Robust with a clean finish that highlights the quality of their coffee. They also have imported drinks and other specialty made coffees. Service was solid. Overall it's a great place to have around. Can't wait for my next visit. read more

Love this hidden gem! Julian is a great owner and friendly face of Breakfast in Paris. He is the owner and you can tell he truly loves what he does. He has a friendly and helpful staff who are always willing to offer a suggestion or recommendation. It is a super quaint location filled with the smells of fresh baked bread, coffee, and pastries. I find that their items are reasonably priced and very delicious. It's conveniently located downtown and has seating both inside and outside. It was a quick grab-and-go on the way... This has been on my list of places to try, & just so happened I was in the area. Based on other reviews, arriving early is a bonus here, as most items will sell out. I still had a nice selection to choose from and purchased 3 items. The service and greeting I received upon arrival are both solid reasons to return! I was welcomed in with a warm and hearty good morning as soon as my feet crossed the threshold. Of course, the pastries and baked goodness are what I came for. The words above the counter are what caught my eye initially, as I waited for two other guest ahead of me. After having some time to browse, I decided to try a few things. My selections included, an apricot danish, cinnamon bun, and an almond croissant. I have serious love for each one of these treats!! Tasty, fresh & delightful. I'd love to come here and enjoy the outdoor seating area when the weather is consistently warmer. The interior is painted and decorated in lovely colors and feels warm. One of the best recent additions to the Greensboro area. First and foremost, the French owner is friendly, approachable and super funny! The food: fresh, tasty and true to bakery form. There aren't many spots that make it better. The owner, and his French training, knows what he's doing. We had both savory and sweet items which were perfect. The homemade breads couldn't be better. Well strolling downtown Greensboro on the 4rh of July, I stumbled down an alley and saw this adorable place. I got a London fog tea and apple turnover and sat out in the alley way at a cutesy bistro table adorned with flowers. The pastry was very tasty and the tea was made just right. As always, Yelp reviewers came through with a winner! My daughter and I were looking for a place to grab a treat after early morning doctor visits. We found this on Yelp and headed straight over. Found free parking nearby and popped in. Absolutely fell in love with the place. We tried the pistachio raspberry pastry and raspberry cream cheese croissant. Both were wonderful. The owner was very pleasant to talk to and told us about the filling on the Apple pastry so we got 2 to go as well as a loaf of sourdough. Very reasonably priced for everything. What a gem of a find omw through during a return trip from Asheville! I've become infatuated with truly French ambiance...simplicity, quality, and small welcoming space doing what it does well. In true French fashion, their "to go" cups seemed to say "don't (go)"...sans lids, encouraging me to sit and enjoy the wonderful cortado and a pastry...no rush! The chef popped out from behind the counter to welcome my little maltese pup, who I am fairly certain would be quite content as cafe mascot lol! Their mutual admiration evident, I decided to sit at one of the cute outdoor tables and steal away with my croissants and pup while I could! I happened to stumble upon the shop a little after 3pm, when the business closes, but the owner saw that I was looking in and was more than welcoming and warmly invited me and my parents in! The inside of the bakery has an old-world and cozy feel, which made the experience of stepping in that much more special and unique. While the glass enclosed casings were empty since we came in after hours, there were plenty of sourdough loaves on the cooling racks so we opted for one of those. We were told that all the ingredients, including the flour and butter (nomnom) are imported from France. I'm a baker myself and know that superior ingredients = superior products. I'm not sure if we were lucky with our timing or if the owner typically does this for first time customers, but he threw in a few croissants filled with spinach and cheese with our loaf and told us it was all on the house. An unexpected and welcoming little surprise! My honest and unbiased opinion: Everything is fresh and flavorfully delicious. The croissants have a delicately flaky exterior with a beautiful buttery flavor and mouthfeel - yum - and the sourdough bread, which he said is fermented far less than SF sourdough isn't sour (which I prefer), is also flavorful and super soft inside with a delicate crunchy/chewy crust. My dad and I kept cutting slices ruining our dinner :P I highly recommend visiting this gem of a spot tucked away unassumingly down a side alley. I need to get myself back at 7AM when the baked goods are piping fresh warm! read more

Everything I've had there has been amazing. From the plain croissants, and a variety of others like chocolate, chocolate and almond, spinach and feta, full Monty (breakfast croissant), in addition to all their homemade breads and desserts, coffee and other beverages, you can't go wrong with anything you order. You won't be disappointed. This is a gem in downtown. Parking can be a little tricky, but there is parking in the middle lot in the back of the building off Washington St (pay attention to the parking signs). So this is my second time visiting this spot and I can't stop raving about the food.....simply amazing. I bought 3 croissants today- butter, spinach and feta, and the vegetarian full Monty. I also bought one of my favorites from my last visit- the pistachio and raspberry danish. I didn't know what to expect with the full Monty but it was soooo delicious. The French authenticity, and flavors coming from this spot is just a treat to your palette and makes for a wonderful place to visit when you are downtown Greensboro.
