We sat in the bar this time! The ambiance is really pretty and vibrant. You feel like you've been transported to another land when you walk in the door! Your greeted and escorted to your table. The food is outstanding! The omelet, shrimp, doughnuts, eclairs and all of the yummest drinks! We've never been disappointed with anything at Print Works!

Well as always the atmosphere alone makes this place enjoyable. The waiter was great and very friendly. Food service impeccable. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was grilled and was served on a skewer on top the grits. They were good (but not as good as their sister restaurant -Lucky 32). The crispy Brussels sprouts were yummy. My friend had the quiche and it looked delish and this was was confirmed by her and another who had the same. My sister ordered the same but her quiche looked different and she did not eat it...more bland in appearance. Ingredients fell to the bottom. The French onion soup was good. My friend also ordered a Diet Coke which turned out to be a different diet cola--tasted on the licorice side...not as expected. We were celebrating a birthday so they brought 3 ice cream perfiteroles (sp) with chocolate syrup--complementary. Nice touch. Overall good bday lunch.

Had a great dinner here! Had a reservation for one at 5pm and they sat me right away, which was convient because I arrived early. The ambience is so warm and upscale which I love! Started off with complimentary bread with butter and roasted garlic and it was sooo good! I came on an empty stomach so I ordered both the Pan Seared Scallops and Duck A L'orange which were their current features on the menu! Both were amazing and seasoned good; the glaze on the duck was sweet but balanced well with the black rice! Ended my meal with the Profiteroles; I wouldn't get it again but the ice cream was decent.

One of the places in Greensboro where you can expect consistent excellence, just like it's sister restaurant in the O Henry Hotel, Green Valley Grill. The Quaintance-Weaver group is just very reliable across their properties and Print Works is no exception. Just another one of those places that I have been to plenty of times over the years, but a review has escaped my grasp. Why? I don't know. Maybe I felt it's such a known quantity and prioritized other lesser known places, either way they deserve a good word. Our most recent visit was in the late fall. To be perfectly honest, I had a good night at the new casino up in Danville the night before, and decided to take my lady out for a nice meal. Their menu changes with the seasons, though some favorites are always kept. I went with something season in the seafood butternut squash risotto, and she went with a favorite, steak frites. We also started off with an order of bacon brussel sprouts. Service and ambiance are never a problem here, you can expect to be well taken care of as the staff generally are doing well, and everything inside and out in the restaurant feels elegant and top shelf. That said, it isn't super prententious. Our brussel sprouts were excellent, and it was a massive amount. Would be a great appetizer for even larger groups to share. My risotto was topped with three large and perfectly seared scallops, with another six or so good sized shrimp throughout. The risotto itself was well cooked, though I think overall the butternut squash flavor was a little too dominant. The steak frites came with an absurd amount of frites, which, hard to be mad at that. The meat itself was tender and served with a creamy butter for that extra decadence. All in all, another successful meal at Print Works, as many before and likely many to come will be as well.

Print Works Bistro is absolutely one of my favorites. The food, the service, the atmosphere -- everything was wonderful from start to finish. I went for my birthday, and it could not have been a better choice. I had the lamb special, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts, and they were AMAZING -- and that's saying something because I don't even like Brussels sprouts. To top it off, they surprised me with complimentary profiteroles to celebrate, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our waitress was completely on point all night -- attentive, warm, and genuinely made the evening even better. If you're looking for a place that nails both the food and the experience, this is it.

Stopped in today for lunch with friends and had a wonderful experience. We had a reservation for 12pm and we were seated right away. Our server was great throughout the visit as well. I got a Bloody Mary to drink and it was pretty tasty, just your standard Bloody Mary with good presentation. For my meal, I got the Short Rib Dip and fries. The meal honestly exceeded my expectations. There was plenty of short rib on the sandwich that was tender and flavorful and the baguette was the perfect balance of crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Paired with the au jus to dip, it really was a great meal. It also came with a huge portion of fries that were delicious as well. 10/10 would recommend!

Print works is always very classy and very tasty. The vibes here are nice and perfect for late night evenings, date nights, brunch etc. The decor in the restaurant is wonderful and delightful. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. The food is always delicious. It is always a good place to stop and eat at no matter the season.

Located in the Greensboro suburbs adjacent to the Proximity Hotel, Print Works Bistro is far more than your typical moderately upscale eatery. As part of the employee-owned Quaintance-Weaver family of restaurants and hotels, it features a unique culture where every staff member -- from the hosts to the kitchen team -- is literally invested in your dining experience and offers a rare combination of sophisticated, "come-as-you-are" hospitality and a creative menu that hits every high note from the bar to the dessert plate. As my usual dining companion and our niece recently stopped into Print Works Bistro for an early dinner after a day spent sightseeing the area, I was feeling a bit self-conscious at first dressed in jeans and an untucked short-sleeve dress shirt -- but, as I looked around, I noticed other diners' attire ran the gamut from business formal to casual resort wear. Despite my initial worry, the "come as you are" vibe made us feel right at home. You'll feel welcomed here whether you're in jeans or a suit. We stopped into the bar for a cocktail before dinner and were immediately struck by the sophisticated yet relaxed energy of the space. The bar staff was incredibly friendly and patient, asking each of us what kind of cocktails we enjoyed and offering excellent suggestions from the extensive cocktail program. I really enjoyed the unique Fever Dream ($16)--comprised of Bulleit Rye, Aperol, tiki bitters, pineapple juice, lime juice, and cinnamon demerara. It's best described as a tropical-inspired Old Fashioned. As for the food, it was exceptional. I had the Chicken Schnitzel ($27); the thinly-pounded chicken breast featured a light and crisp breading, served alongside a winter salad with a lemon vinaigrette that provided a perfect, bright balance. My dining companion was blown away by her Vegetable Wellington ($26) -- a visual ringer for the traditional version, packed with butternut squash, lentils, and chèvre, all topped with a rich foraged mushroom gravy. Our niece went with the Beef Stroganoff ($37), which featured flavorful beef tenderloin tips with a hint of dill and crème fraîche that she absolutely loved. Portions were incredibly generous; each of our dishes was substantial enough that we could have easily taken half home for a second meal the next day. We finished our meal at Print Works Bistro by sharing the Beignets ($10); dipping those warm, powdered-sugar-dusted treats into the chocolate sauce and honey was the perfect sweet end to the evening. The real magic here, though, is the service. Knowing that Print Works Bistro is part of the Quaintance-Weaver employee-owned group makes a noticeable difference. You aren't just being served by employees; you're being hosted by owners. From our attentive server to the busboys, everyone seemed to have a genuine vested interest in our experience. It's "hospitality" in the truest sense of the word--everyone from the hosts to the folks clearing the tables has a vested interest in your night being perfect. We'll definitely be back. PRO TIP: Bring your wallet. I do feel obligated to point out that Print Works Bistro should be rated as a $$$ price range (indicating $31 to $60 per person) rather than a $$ price range (indicating $11 to $30 per person).

This was my first time dining here. I came for French toast. It was very good. The bacon was cooked perfectly and was thicker - not flimsy like some places as a side. Prices were affordable - I expected more honestly from a nice place like this. I will be back for sure.

I got the bistro breakfast. Everything was cooked good and tasted very fresh- I especially loved the potato's. This was my first time here and I felt the menu and price points were really good. I will be returning.

I love Printworks. I haven't had a disappointing meal yet. The dressing on the little salads that come with the quiche is amazing. The service is always impeccable and the vibe is lowkey and elegant. I hope to return soon and try some more of their seasonal dishes before the menu changes. That would be my only complaint, if you find something you love it may disappear with the season.

Had brunch at the Print Works Bistro in Greensboro & will say it is a good spot. It was very busy with a slight wait for those without reservations. I would recommend them, btw. The inside is bright, open, & airy; good morning-time energy. The food was solid, I'd say the menu was mostly 'standards' with a slight lean into continental cuisine. The service was fast, particularly considering how busy they were. If you're seeking a good brunch/lunch spot, PWB should be on the list of candidates.

    Scallop and shrimp risotto
    Amanda C.

Had really high expectations going in because I had heard such great things! The atmosphere and service were amazing but the food unfortunately left a lot to be desired. The Brie appetizer looked amazing but was a bit plain. I had the scallop and shrimp risotto and my friend had steak frites. Both dishes were overly seasoned...I really wanted to like my dish and ate a majority of it but my tongue was overloaded by all the flavors (& not in a good way). My friend also shared the steak was especially salty. Overall had a fun girls night out but the food was a bit of a let down after all the great things I had heard.

Even without reservations we were seated on the (enclosed for winter) patio immediately. The patio affords lovely views of the vineyards. Both times we have visited it has been a little noisy due to a large group but hey they are having fun. This dinner was the perfect ending to a perfect day on a warm, sunny November evening. The food was excellent. We started with the baked brie wrapped in a buttery flaky pastry, and the goat cheese medallions with marinated peppers and olive tapenade. Both were delicious. For mains, I had the porcini mushroom and cheese stuffed ravioli in a beef ragu, and this dish was outstanding. Everything blended beautifully and melted in your mouth with that rich ragu surrounding it. I'd definitely order it again. My wife had the chicken gnocchi dish. The only slight miss was the gnocchi. It wasn't homemade and leaned more on the firm side rather than that soft, melt in your mouth texture. Outside of that, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the manchego spinach cream sauce was fantastic. What truly sets this place apart is the patio overlooking the vineyard. I highly recommend reserving a seat outside for the full experience. Looking forward to our next trip here!

Parking was tight but doable in the lot. The space is charming inside and out; the shaded patio has a nice vibe, though foot traffic to the entrance passes by those tables. Ordering is walk-up, and food is delivered to the table. Menu is broad with clear gluten-free indicators (huge plus). Coffee was dark and delicious, and service throughout was genuinely warm, knowledgeable, and fast -- easily 5 stars for hospitality. Getting to-go boxes was effortless and we were offered refills often. Food was a mixed bag. My wife had the gluten-free smoked salmon toast with avocado. She wished the veggies and tomato were grilled; the GF bread itself was very good, but the greens/tomato ended up pushed aside. I had the smoked salmon Benedict. The salmon portion felt light, and the hollandaise leaned more toward mustard than citrus and was a bit thin. Breakfast potatoes and veggies were nicely cut and well-seasoned but undercooked; same for the bacon, which tasted more tough than crisp. (I reheated the potatoes/veg at home -- flavor was there once cooked through.) Prices felt reasonable, ingredients seemed thoughtfully sourced, and the team's earnestness shines. With a little tighter execution (fully cooked potatoes/veg, crisper bacon, brighter/thicker hollandaise, slightly more salmon, grilled tomatoes), this would be an easy 5. I'll definitely be back -- I gave it a 3.7 but rounded it up to 4 stars for the service, coffee, and GF-friendly menu options.
