A great place to have a cold beer and some sold food...better quality and variety than you probably would expect. Their wings have a Thai flair with hint of lemongrass that is excellent. The twisted chicken has an excellent flavor and heat profile. The cooping is excellent and not something you might think they would have. Wonderful flavor, fresh sea food and great bread for the broth! Lastly, their version of friend oysters are excellent. Great food, comfortable environment, friendly service and a comfortable environment. Give it a try!

Today was only my second time here and I asked myself why I don't eat here more often! I love the location right in the hub of walker avenue. The staff were attentive and quick. It is a small charming place that the worn wood look inside reminds me of a cozy fishing dock. The food was AMAZING! I have been craving a rare tuna sandwich and boy did they deliver. It was fresh and sooooooo delicious!!! The cocktail they served me was exactly what I needed after a long shift. I will absolutely be back and recommend others check them out too! They have weekly specials that are amazing, and their bar is nothing to ignore!

Found on yelp - giving it a try as we are exploring places in Greensboro. We went early before noon - not many people yet Thai clam - different from what we thought but a very nice surprise- flavorful and very fresh. Fried oyster - light batter and fried just right so it's juicy and crunchy. My son loved the steak burrito - sizable and flavorful The jumbo shrimp is definitely big - side of sweet potatoes tots finish the dish. Nc catfish - taste good but we can use another filet Overall decent flavors.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you cannot find a better filet mignon dinner in NC for the price. Pre COVID the filet with 2 sides was $15. It's now $24 but we'll worth it. My wife and I usually split the 6oz filet that comes with huge portions of 2 sides. We regularly go with the sweet potato tots and blackened green beans. Everything here is worthy of a much higher price. The quality of their food is exceptional. Also, tell me where else on the planet you can get a 20oz draft of craft beer for $6. The parking can be difficult behind the restaurant but just park to the side of Suds n Duds and walk across the street. I promise you that this will be your new favorite to go place.

If I lived in the area, I would be a regular! I could see myself hanging out with friends or going by myself with a good book. I really liked the relaxed atmosphere. The servers were attentive and genuinely friendly. I had and loved the fried bologna sandwich with fries and my partner had the freid catfish. Yep, I am a fan!

I come here from time to time and generally end up ordering one (or more) of the specials. Couldn't decide this time so I ordered everything that appealed to me. The grouper fingers were bland, just tasted like fried panko. The sauce didn't help. The salt & pepper catfish along with the beans and rice was very good. The lemon pepper wings with garlic herb butter was amazing!! The garlic wasn't overpowering and it had the perfect crispness. I wasn't expecting it to have a bit of heat/spice but it was perfect. I would definitely eat the last 2 again!! No pics of the wings because I demolished them at home.

When I order takeout, I normally don't review the place because I didn't stay there long enough to get the whole experience but I can tell you, hands down, this was one of the best takeout experiences I've had in a while. I love how the place is so local to greensboro and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is in town or visiting. I always drove past and saw people on the patio sitting talking and enjoying their lunch and a few weeks ago, I found out why. Here's their secret: the staff is seriously really friendly. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed to be helped, they had a sense of urgency and welcomeness that I really appreciated. The food was a 10/10 for sure! I got the shrimp and grits which was really delicious and my side was the asparagus which I was not expecting to be smoked but it was really delicious nonetheless. The expediency and delivery of my dinner was commendable and I will defiantly dining soon to enjoy the full experience.

We were driving through Greensboro and Fishbones looked like a great place to stop for a late lunch on a Sunday. It's seat yourself and had a great casual vibe to it. The menu had a great variety and they clearly listed their specials on the boards around the biz. They had indoor and outdoor seating, it was way too hot for us to eat outside so indoor it was. I got the crab soup which was delicious and had tons of crab in it. I was especially impressed that the price was so reasonable at only $5. We also went with a dozen of the middleneck clams and the catfish bites special of the day. Everything came out pipping hot and fresh. The clams had a great flavor to the broth and came with huge hunks of bread. My husband had ordered extra bread since he didn't realize bread already came with the dish. I wish the waitress would have told us that, but nonetheless their ciabatta was tasty. The catfish bites were super flavorful and a great dish to share. Service was friendly and prices for seafood were super reasonable. We would definitely go back if we were in the area.

We've been coming to this unique restaurant for years. The owner is great and is passionate about the food quality and prep. You can get a burger or Cioppino or angus beef quesadillas, and even good Thai specials or poke bowls. Lots of unique creations. The variety is there and everything is cooked very well and the quality is evident. The pricing is very reasonable for what you get. The specials can be quite unique. I had the crab cake tonight and it was nice and tasty. All crabmeat, no filler and a large portion, not fried but pan seared. The salads are nice and their house dressings are delicious. My wife had the fresh tuna on a ciabatta roll. The tuna is always good and a high grade. The patio is nice and could be a lot more with a little maintenance and Clean up. The inside is eclectic and a little retro. Very cool. The staff is always attentive and we always have good service. Great for smaller parties and a casual night out. Great wine and beer selection too!

Found street parking right there and didn't have much of a wait, about 10 minutes for a party of 4. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp, didn't know it came seasoned until after we ordered but we were able to send them back and get seasoned shrimp, which was much better. All of us pretty much had the same comments about our meals that they were bland. The crab soup had entirely too much thyme in it, so much so that's all you tasted. The minestrone soup was well seasoned. All our fish meals were missing something, we reached tasted each other's and said the same thing....all our meals were missing something. The fried Catfish tasted like it had no seasoning other than the salt flakes that were on top. The fries were fresh and nice and crunchy. The rice was okay and beans, can do without, garlic bread was OK. The chicken burrito was really good and had flavor to it, none of us were fans of the white rice and black beans. The drinks weren't bad, I really liked the names of the drinks offered. I was expecting a bit more with the food and was really hoping I would enjoy it. We were initially met and provided our drink and appetizer order to one serve but then we ended up with a young woman who was very friendly and helpful when it came to the shrimp and made the recommendation for the drunken chicken. Very confused on who was our server and who we'd be tipping. This is a small bar that offers food as well as outside seating. Staff was attentive and helpful.

Fishbones, in my opinion is one of Greensboro's hidden gems. It has a laidback hometown bar feel with some excellent food. I've been here several times now and it has never disappointed! My favorite go to meal is the House Salad with Steak Filet. The steak is cooked to perfection every time and the salad is always crisp and fresh!!! The house made croutons are delicious as well. (Shhh....I'm not supposed to be eating them but for review sake I had to try them...RIGHT!? You're welcome!) If you're looking for some libations you can also find a nice selection of wines, cocktails and beer here as well. The location isn't very large so get in there early. There are some outdoor tables as well which is perfect for a nice sunny day. The staff is always amazing and helpful. They definitely know how to make you feel welcomed and at home. On our very first visit it felt as if we had been coming here for years. The location is on the corner with some other very tasty locations so make a day of it and try them all :)

It was our first time at Print Works, though I've been to their sister restaurant Green Valley Grill several times. I love the attention to detail when it came to the ambiance of this restaurant, from the lush plants adorning the outdoor patios to the comfortable but elegant chairs to the long curtain panels providing a little separation between other guests. It's truly a beautiful restaurant. I also love that they serve brunch daily! My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, and we both loved the amount of cheese and overall flavor and consistency of the grits. I went with the grilled salmon which is served with a strawberry-tarragon beurre rouge sauce, crème fraîche mashed potatoes and French green beans. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the lightness of the sauce and the creaminess of the mashed potatoes were highlights. We also split an order of the beignets, which are served with honey and a dark chocolate sauce for dipping. Divine. Our waiter was excellent, checking on us regularly but not rushing us in any way. All in all, a great meal with outstanding service, a gorgeous dining room, and affordable prices. We'll definitely return for a date night or another brunch. This would be the perfect place to gather with a group of friends or colleagues, as everyone is likely to find something on the menu they will enjoy and there are plenty of tables to accommodate larger parties. As for attire, I would consider this restaurant to be upscale but not pretentious, and I saw a wide array of attire from business suits to more casual wear I wasn't sure what to expect, and I wore blue jeans with a nicer blouse and did not feel uncomfortable or out of place, though I think I personally might dress a little sharper if going for dinner.

The interior and overall vibe are really nice, and the food was good -- but nothing especially memorable. What completely ruined the evening, though, was the service and how an accident was handled. A server from another table accidentally dropped an entire chocolate dessert shot glass behind me, and I got covered in chocolate -- my neck, hair, sweater, jeans, and even half of our table. Accidents happen, and I totally understand that. What shocked me was that neither the server who dropped it nor my own server reacted or even apologized. My server saw everything happen but didn't hurry to help or check on me. I sat there for more than 15 minutes with chocolate in my hair and all over my clothes. Eventually, I had to call the manager myself and ask for napkins or something to clean up. To the manager's credit, she responded quickly and was helpful. Ironically, my server only came over after the manager had already handled everything. In the end, I left the restaurant with a dirty sweater, stained jeans, and chocolate still in my hair. Instead of properly following up, they simply handed me a business card and told me to email or call about the incident. Honestly, after what happened, why should I have to chase the restaurant for a resolution? A much better approach would have been for someone to ask for my contact information and proactively reach out. Overall, it was a very strange and disappointing experience, especially for a place that presents itself as upscale. Sadly, I wouldn't come back again.

I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. This place is a little different, they encourage ordering a few things and sharing everything. This server helped me order a cocktail with good recommendations and also brought out a small sample of two wines my wife was deciding between. We ordered three snacks, appetizers if you will, and three plates. Each one was a culinary delight! You really have to take your time with each bite and savor all the flavors and how they compliment each other and make everything come together. Our server helped us with our choices for all of these as well. First of all, we ordered a sweet potato funnel cake, a mushroom toast, and garlic bread. Every time we took our first bite of anything we ordered, our eyes rolled in the back of our head and said "Mmmmmm!" For the plates we ordered the polenta, Wagyu flat iron steak, and Seabass. I think the server said in the polenta the onions were cooked for six hours, but no matter what, it was pretty amazing. I never thought I would be so taken by polenta, but it was rich and creamy and flavorful. The Seabass was served with a spoon, and we saw why. There was a sauce that was poured around and it collected underneath the fish. It was a saffron bouillabaisse, wonderful! The last thing we were served was the steak, and they only serve it one way, medium rare, which was perfect for me. By the way, all the plates come out as they are made ready, they don't necessarily come out at once. This ensures that it comes out fresh and hot. This also gave us a chance to savor everything one or two at a time. The server also explains what is in the dish as they bring it out, which is a really nice touch so you know what all is in it. For dessert we split the flourless chocolate cake, which was served with a dab of whipped cream I think, and olive oil ice cream, which I had never heard of before but, like everything else it was amazing! I could have just had that for dessert and been happy. We came on a Wednesday, and they were weren't a lot of people, so it was nice and quiet and somewhat dimly lit for peaceful dinner.
