They came to trim our mango tree twice within a few years. They did an awesome job both times. Arrived on time with lots of young help to move the big branches and leaves. They have a wood chipper so they chip all the wood onsite. They kept some large logs to make wood crafts (I guess). They came both times to do an estimate and kept to the estimate cost. They are easy to talk to and price is negotiable and reasonable. These are very hard working men. We will definitely call them back to trim our tree again. read more

If you want your tree gone you can hire these guys but you want an actual arborist he's not for you. They totally butchered my mango and avocado trees! He estimated the time for 3 hours and it took more than 8 hours. Mostly because the crew work about 30 mins and took 30 mins breaks. Even though so many people showed up they weren't very efficient. Andy provided very reasonable quote and scheduled removal on Saturday. Andy and 2 crew members again showed up on schedule on Saturday with two trucks. We reviewed trees for removal and they got started right away. Andy and crew were very knowledgeable and worked efficiently. They had all the right equipment and finished exactly what they agreed to complete. They probably worked an extra two hours (past what they expected) due to a larger tree that they had to remove. Yelpers led me to calling AL Best Tree Services -- and I wasn't let down. I called Andy to have him come by and make my hedge (along with my trimming and raking chores) disappear. Andy called my cell a half an hour prior to his on-time arrival. I pretty much told him what i needed done, he gave tips and input, and we agreed upon a price and scheduled the work. He called with an option to get the work done sooner, as they had finished another job and were ahead of schedule. His crew works quickly, and gets things done well. As the option popped up, I felt bad that I didn't leave a cooler with drinks out for the crew. By the time I showed up, they were busting their a$$es on what felt like the hottest day in recent times. Excellent cleanup of the entire area, even taking the time to sweep my neighbor's patio and driveway. I called on a Friday and Andy was here by Sunday for a walk-around and estimate. He returns calls on his mobile very quickly. The crew was here by 8:30 Tuesday morning. They took down two large old plumaria trees and grinded stumps in an hour, The crew was polite, friendly, and cleaned up well. In the remaining two hours they cleaned up a large bunch of palm trees, grooming the tops and thinning the keikes. They also did a great job trimming back a large Noni tree, and grinded down two more stumps in my backyard. They were very considerate about blocking the chips from flying into my pool during the grinding and used a board to stop flying debris. They were very appreciate of water and soda and a couple of cut up apples I provided (wish I had more, just didn't think ahead). They were very comfortable with my two large brown dogs who can be intimidating, and the crew was watchful and concerned about the dogs not getting out of the yard as the crew had to go in and out of the back yard. My dogs mostly stick around, but I appreciated the concern of the crew. I look forward to having them return in the future to keep my property trim. The work area was very tight and they managed to also remove the tree stumps to below ground level also. The work was done quickly and they cleaned up the surrounding areas nicely. We had a big Samoan Coconut tree that had grown over our roof. With a hurricane on the way we decided to have it removed, or at least trimmed- depending on the price. AL's estimate was less than half the previous estimate we had gotten from a competitor, so we went with removal. The crew arrived two hours later and two hours after that, they were gone and so was the tree! Luckily for us they had just finished another job here in Kalihi valley, so they were nearby. Used Yelp to find me three tree trimming companies and ended up choosing A.L. Best Tree Services for my tree trimming service. They had the lowest estimate and Andy impressed me as having a lot of knowledge and experience. Andy's workers did a great job and were very professional. Andy was very pleasant to speak with. They also did an outstanding job cleaning up after they were done and gathered all the chips that fell in my driveway. They made sure any branches that fell in the neighbor's yards was retrieved. The only area that Andy could improve on is his time estimate to complete the job. He first stated that it would take 1 1/2 hours to trim two mango trees which I thought was really fast. However, he removed the tree shredding machine and took it to another job close by and only used one guy to trim both trees.
