I highly recommend JBL for landscaping and drainage needs. I initially planned to hire them for a basic project involving landscaping, turf, and gravel installation for a newly constructed home. However, we had a significant drainage issue with the existing underground pipe. The owner, Jefferson, quickly identified the root cause of the problem. Based on his expertise, we expanded our scope and hired him to complete both the landscaping and the drainage repair.Jefferson provided outstanding customer service. He took the time to meet with my son and me, thoroughly explained the repair process, and even connected us with a past client who had successfully resolved the same issue. Furthermore, his crew was professional, highly skilled, and maintained an immaculately clean job site. The newly installed system has since been tested by heavy, continuous storm rains and has performed well. read more

JBL was the only one that contacted me back. He had great reviews so I scheduled an estimate for flagstone work on our patio. Jeff arrived on the day promptly. Very personable and friendly. Gave me the estimate and waited a couple days for others to respond. Another did but didn't repond to a second attempt. So whatever. Gave Jeff the green light to do the job. Him and his boys came and did a great job from making sure it was installed correctly. After install I walked and checked their work. I had some concerns but he assured he was coming back next day to finish up and fix. Which he did. His quality of work is very good. They respected our home and surrounding area. Cleaned up after too. Sure I would rehire him again. In fact we did. He's coming back. Mahalo Jeff read more

My Wife and I wanted to completely redo our front and backyard but we weren't completely sure what we exactly wanted to do. We asked Jeff from JBL to come and give us a quote. He was able to brainstorm with us to help us imagine a completely new yard. He gave us ideas that we would either agree or disagree with. Once we had a general idea, Jeff was able to create a digital rendering of both our front and backyard so we were actually able to see his vision and know what we could expect the finished product to look like. For the early stages of the project Angel was the primary foreman of the job. Angel was very friendly and respectful. He would give us updates on what they would be doing for the next couple of days, or if they wouldn't be coming due to weather conditions. As a client this was great because we never had to wonder whether the contractors were coming or not. Our Project consisted of removing existing cement pavers and vegetation. And installation of new turf, irrigation system, and vinyl fence. JBL took care of hauling away all the old materials and bringing all the new materials/plants for our project. Jeff was more than fair to us and he worked with us to make sure we were satisfied with how it turned out. Our home looks completely transformed now, and our dogs finally have a yard that they can play in. If you need trustworthy, reliable, and friendly landscapers I highly recommend giving Jeff a call. read more

We wanted a space to drive our vehicles on when having parties. JBL came through by laying pavers and installing artificial turf so the dogs can enjoy the space as well! We are very happy with the result as well as the great price. The space looks amazing! Call Jeff and his crew if you need any work done! read more

I don't know where the good ratings come from, but this company has no regards for the neighbors. The dig and move dirt, creating a lot of dust without bothering to put up a dust screen or spray water constantly to reduce the dust from traveling. I have a lot of red dirt inside of my house and in my car because of them. I also witnessed them loading and removing the homeowner's dirt from the property before they completed backfilling the wall. They tried to deny that fact to the homeowner, but claimed there was enough dirt to complete the job. I later found out they had to bring back dirt, which was not his, as it was brown not red, and filled with rocks and rubbish. I would think twice before using this company. read more

Jeff of JBL Landscaping Services does amazing work. Responded promptly to telephone call of sprinkler repair. 3 of 5 zones were not working. 5 sprinkler valves were leaking and a few broken sprinkler heads. It was more than I could do on my own. Jeff and crew fixed all broken sprinkler heads, replaced 6 sprinkler valves, rerouted pvc to be more efficient. I will 100% be using JBL Landscaping for any future jobs. Jeff is very knowledgeable and prices were very fair. Honest, hard working all around good guy. Mahaloz for the work my Braddah!!! read more

He listened to my ideas and was able to guide me in making the right choices for an amazing outcome and his quote was reasonable. His team was prompt, courteous and always cleaned up well at the end of the day. We ended up adding concrete edging, sod, pavers and coral. We just love it! My lawn sprinkling system became erratic and would occassionally make a banging sound. Multiple attempts on my part to fix this problem failed. I called Jeff from JBL plumbing. I called JBL for an estimate for a driveway extension and an artificial turf installation. Jeff got back to me and met with me the next day. Jeff gave me a price and explained to me the details on what the estimate included. We worked with Jeff on a backyard project that lasted about 3 weeks or so and was happy with the whole process including the result. Jeff led a small team and was very responsive towards calls and messages. We requested a quote, and Jeff was able to provide a plan that met our needs and got it approved before starting the project. The workers were professional throughout the process, some days they worked after 3:30pm to ensure work could be done in a timely manner. They do a really nice job in terms of cleaning up on a every day basis, and thorough clean up after the entire project. Their work schedule is usually between 7:30am (could arrive a bit late or early) until 3:30pm. We installed the drainage system as well underneath the turf. Currently, we are happy with the drainage system and hope it is robust and could last a long time. We would highly recommend Jeff's business to anyone! 1) Be sure to leave ample time / enough buffer time for your project to be done due to many reasons (e.g., materials, weather, etc). 2) A friendly reminder to buy a fly nest catcher thing from home depot because there's too many flies in Hawaii with the mobile bathroom! read more

Jeff and his team are fantastic! Communication was easy. When Jeff came to inspect our yard of weeds, he provided a few options so we could see what would work best with our budget. Once we chose an option, work started, taking a little over a week. Now, I don't want to pull my hair out when I look out to our backyard. Our dog is also happy that it no longer has to navigate the weeds. Thank you again to Jeff and his team for the amazing work! read more

We hired JBL for some hardscaping services and they did an awesome job. Very professional, respectful and responsive. They gave us a date that it would be completed and they met their deadline. Awesomeness- see before and after pictures, if you don't believe me! Jeff was prompt, professional, reliable and nice to boot. He came the same day I messaged him, ruler in hand ready to give me an accurate quote. He wasn't the cheapest bid but we felt assured that the job would get done the way we needed it and by the short timeframe. Jeff has an army of great people and started the job on time, finished the job by the timeframe and really did what his quote was. Look no further- he's the man!! read more

This is just an interim rating. Complete rating will be issued after a heavy rain from the North to fully test our new drainage system. Owner Jeff and his crew including Rudolfo and RJ are hard working, trustworthy, personable and customer-oriented individuals. During proposal evaluations, Jeff responded in a timely fashion every time and came to visit our property more than once to discuss the scope of work and offer ideas. read more

No response to requested project quote. Either they were busy or didn't care; however, a response shows professionalism

Complete satisfaction! It was such a blessing to have found JBL Landscaping Services for my recent landscape project (drainage, irrigation, and masonry). Jeff was honest, knowledgeable, conscientious, and fair throughout the project. Jeff patiently and methodically explained what was to be done and showed me how they were going to do it. Jeff leads a hard-working team of experienced landscapers within the planned timeline and proposed budget. Above all, Jeff was easy to work with and his communication was quite refreshing...even with my numerous changes! What more can anyone ask for! Jeff also assisted me by working directly with the HOA during the approval process due to drainage requirements associated with a relatively flat and challenging lot. There were several things that I wanted done that were not conventional or easy, but Jeff and his crew completed all with no problem. The JBL crew's were especially respectful to my neighbors and cleaned the job site on a daily basis. Once the work was completed, Jeff took the time to explain and test each system in my presence to ensure that all work was acceptable and that I was completely satisfied. The JBL crews attention to detail was impressive. Upon completion, JBL was hired for several other jobs on the street after my project. I would highly recommend JBL Landscaping Services to my family and friends for any future projects. Thanks very much Jeff and crew for the awesome work! read more

I have been wanting to get my back yard done for years! It was so hard to get someone to show up for the estimate and do the work. Jeff came by the same day I called, came up with the plan, gave me a quote, and started the work the following week. My back yard came out better than I could ever imagine! I went with his recommendation of the pavers and synthetic grass. I never knew I wanted that, but he explained the pros of it with having dogs. He was so helpful and professional...got the job done quickly without cutting any corners. My dogs approve! Thank you so much! read more

I was bleeding water from our main irrigation line. Turned off that valve and started calling. Jeff responded quickly on the phone and he was at my home in 30 min. He assessed our old valve system and it needed upgrading but told me that he still needed to dig down to confirm that was the only problem. He gave me scenarios and pricing that reflected the scenarios. When he dug under the main valve system and turned on the water again, out sprung 3 very gushing leaks. Pipes needed to replaced. Each step he showed me the problems so I wouldn't think that he was cheating me. At this point I didn't even think that. From the get go he told me things up front, no guessing. Prices fairly and did a thorough check on my irrigation system to ensure that the system worked as supposed to. He replaced a couple sprinkler heads at no charge as well. I know if someone would ask me who I use to fix/repair landscaping needs it would be Jeff. Thanks Jeff for an AWESOME job and quick service. read more

Jeff did a tremendous job on our place this past month and out of 5 landscapers we chose him because he could pour concrete and landscape. Price is good too and fair. No issues at all with project. He extended driveway with more concrete, added arbor walls in 2 places, added grass around the house, installed rock layer around house, drainage in both sides of house with french drained added in front of garage and threw in some plants too. Lastly leveling the ground and adding a retaining wall was also in store. Job took 4 weeks which was better than expected. Crew very respectful to neighbors which is important, crew worked hard during the week, and we are very satisfied with his work. Reason he has 5 star rating on Yelp since we found him through yelp. you wont be dissapointed with his work. read more

Highly recommend JBL should you be looking for landscaping needs! I called other companies initially and only Jeff was prompt and professional in responding to my inquiry. That goes a long way. His company did grass installation, concrete sidewalk, pad, and stairs for our project. Very satisfied and good quality work! His team worked hard, were clean, and got the job done. He was there for most of the job as well. He sets the example! May be a little higher on the pricing side but you get what you pay for. Again, professional and responsive is what sets him apart from the rest! Good luck Jeff, and hire JBL for your next project! read more

Finding a reliable landscaper was a challenge. Overall, him and his crew were professional and did an amazing job with my backyard. I really dreaded going to my yard because it was neglected for so long but I really love how it turned out with all the hard work by Jeff and his crew. Our previous yard man was good but a a flake. After being a no show for two months and no response to my phone and text messages I looked for another vendor. I called and left voicemail messages for yard maintenance vendors in my area, Mililani. No return of phone call. So unprofessional. JBL Landscaping responded in a timely manner and that is what you can expect of Jeff. He is professional: professional in telling you his cost, what time to expect his team, if he is running late, and what you can expect. When they did the first service the overgrown lawn was mowed and the tall weeds were pulled. I worried about his use of herbicides on the areas that weeds were mixed with grass but that worked well. I have a large pie-shape lot and Jeff and his team have done a GREAT job. I also trusted him to do the maintenance of our rental property. Jeff's team removed a large tree and our tenants said he was amazing. Another thing that I like is that his team gets the job done quickly. (Our previous yard man would use a noisy weed whacker for several irritating HOURS.) If you are fed up with paying for unreliable, unprofessional service, someone that you have to beg and badger to show up, it's time to call JBL Landscaping. I can count on them to show up the first Saturday of every month. Using JBL Landscaping is one of the best decisions that I've made. read more

Jeff is super great! He got back to me in a timely fashion and was able to give me a general idea of how much the job costs on the phone. He was then able to come out shortly after for an estimate, on Father's Day no less (always working hard!) He came out to sod our backyard and put a sprinkler system. He was able to give us a super fair price and did an amazing job in the prep work! His team worked super hard throughout the process and cleaned up after themselves. His communication with me is always quick. Great job and will be hiring him again! read more

I called around a few places and most of them weren't that helpful thinking it was a small job and wanted to charge just to come and look. I felt extremely fortunate to have found this company and Jeff. He answered my call right away and offered to come out that afternoon after his work hours. Prior to coming he texted that he was on his way and gave me a heads up when he was 10 minutes out. He was extremely honest, helpful, diligent, reliable, fair and went above and beyond. We agreed to work with him and he offered to get started prepping on the spot prior to our weekend cement pouring. In the midst of everything we broke our one pipe while Jeff was at Lowe's. When Jeff came back, he called in a favor to a plumbing friend and they came out right away to fix our mishap. Jeff stayed until the plumbing repairs were completed which was around 9:30/10 in the evening. They wouldn't take payment and said they were glad they could help in our moment of despair. Our yard and irrigation is completed and we are so happy with it. Jeff is so helpful and although the job is done he has still made himself available to answer any of our concerns on weeds or fertilizer. We are so fortunate and lucky to have found Jeff and his company and would highly recommend him to all our friends and acquaintances. Much mahalos Jeff to an amazing job. read more
