This lack of reliability made it difficult to feel that our property was a priority. Additionally, the level of care provided was minimal, limited primarily to basic mowing and blowing. When we raised concerns about our grass not growing properly, there was little to no guidance or transparency on how to improve its condition. Due to these ongoing issues, we will not be using Regan's services again, as reliability and communication are essential to us. On a positive note, we have since worked with Alex at Only Yards, and the difference has been exceptional. This business has done a Christmas miracle! Since 2015 my neighbors back yard has grown extremely out of control. My husband & myself used to spend our weekends trying to help but after years of donating our time, buying & breaking our tools & lawn equipment & the continuous loads hauling the green waste to the dump, we had to stop because it was becoming dangerous. One day Regan an Angel sent from heaven knocked on my door to give me a courtesy message to let me know work will be going on next door. I was so excited to hear these fabulous words!!!! My first experience with Regon was phenomenal. They quoted me 11k to do my yard, redo my grass and take out trees. It took a couple months for our grass to finally grow and it was BEAUTIFUL. We had a beautiful yard. We signed up to do maintenance with Regon to get our grass cut monthly. After a service we noticed our grass turned YELLOW. Ever have those brilliant ideas that backfire on you? Well, I just happen to have a fresh one. So...we were getting the house ready for professional photos prior to listing. We did everything suggested to get the house ready...decluttering, depersonalizing, deep cleaning and staging with simple and generic style appealing to most buyers. The house was immaculate...and the exterior of the house was just as clean as I meticulously mowed and edged the front and rear lawns. But wait...maybe I can add another element to highlight an "island vibe". Super! How about some tiki torches by the outdoor eating area? Fantastic! So I pounded three metal stakes to hold the tiki torches and the look was complete. Time for the professional pics and to list the house. Ignorance is bliss, a wise (or ignorant) man once said. I had no idea my "brilliant" idea actually created a somewhat major problem. One, if not more, of the stakes seemed to have nicked the sprinkler pipe as I saw streaming water (after more than a week of streaming) from where I pounded the stakes. Man! I entertained maybe doing the job myself, checked out some YouTube videos and they made it look so easy. I actually lost some sleep last night as I pondered how I would fix the problem I created. Alas, when I woke up this morning, I thought it might be better if I called the pros to fix it...reasoning I didn't have the tools and materials to do an adequate and expeditious job. So I let my finger "do the walking" and checked out Yelp. Estrada Landscaping Services came up with 4.5 stars. I called Regon who answered while on his way back west from town. I gave him my address and he arrived at our place around 6:00 PM. He assessed the issue, and sure enough, the stake I pounded down, with no regard for where the sprinkler pipes were, hit the brittle 1/2" pipe. Oh, did I say, a stake...make that two stakes hit the pipe! What were the odds? Anyway, he gave me a quote I was OK with, and he proceeded to work. About an hour later, with diminishing daylight, the sprinkler pipe leak was fixed! So...learn from this guy. If you pound a stake in your lawn, make sure you are nowhere near a pipe or it could cost you. For my blunder, I paid $150! Regon doesn't accept credit cards for a small job (anything below $5,000 maybe) and only accepts cash or checks. He was responsive, friendly, although a tad bit disorganized as he had to make multiple trips to and from his truck to retrieve either the correct couplers or longer pipe. Other than that, issue fixed...just have to make sure the grass around the dug up area grows evenly. read more

Had to call Regon again to fix sprinkler pipe that broke he came and fixed it and when the extra mile by counting down the pipe because it was too high. If you need a landscaper call Regon. Don't waste your time or money. I hired Ralph to do a simple sod installation and he completely ripped me off! He barley put any soil on the ground before the installation and now I have nothing but weeds everywhere growing through the sod. He cuts corners and has no integrity whatsoever. Now I have a bigger headache to deal with and need to spend more money fixing his mess. I honestly don't believe this guy is even experienced in doing landscaping. He stated he could be at my house by 3:30 pm and he showed up right on time. He ran some tests, checked the control panel, determined what was wrong & fixed the problems. Because the soil in our backyard is clay, when it rains puddling occurs which creates unsafe divots and craters in our yard as the ponding slowly dries, but of greater concern was the effect this was having on the foundation of our home. We called a few vendors and Regon's bid not only come in significantly lower, using comparable materials and approach, but he was also able to start the job the following week and finish it in three days, rather than the "we can start in one month and will take two weeks to complete the job" as was quoted by the competition. Toward the end of the job I noticed that the pitch of the yard seemed to angle toward the house rather than away, after expressing my concern's Regon added an additional drain a low point for an additional charge. It took two months of watering the grass in our backyard, 3 x a day as recommended, but the grass finally filled in. Unfortunately, with it came an abundance of weeds, including the dreaded nut grass that no matter what we use, even with repeated applications is not going away. It remains to be seen if Regon's drainage solution solves our ponding issue, but my hopes are high. read more

I met with the owner to discuss work on my mom's home that had become overgrown when she got sick. I had 4 other quotes & his was the best priced. I liked that he knew about the different trees & how to care for them. My mom has a serious green thumb & loves her plants, I felt that he would show care for the plants that we wanted to leave behind while properly removing those we didn't want. That's exactly what their crew did. They had a monster of a job to tackle. They removed many overgrown trees that grew higher than the house. The trees included bird of paradise, plumeria, ulu, tons of haole koa, heliconia, calamansi, marungay & a lot of ground coverings like laua'e, tons of bromeliads & all kinds of bushes. They pruned her Manila & sago palms too. So far we are very happy with their work. We'll be calling them for landscaping if we decide to keep my mom's home. I called this company with the listed phone number last week asking for an estimate, initially for lawn maintenance, and other tasks I eventually need completed. I got a call back a few minutes after calling which I appreciated. We discussed the tasks I needed and we agreed to meet at my house later in the week. By the time the appointment was supposed to be, I hadn't heard or seen anybody nor received a phone call to let me know of a delay or to reschedule. We had been communicating via text so I sent a message asking if they were still planning on stopping by. Several hours went by without a response before I got a message back later in the evening where he said he was sorry for missing the appointment set due to a family emergency. Fair enough-- I can understand that things come up and if I had a family emergency I'd want that time afforded to me. The problem is that I messaged back saying no problem, I understand. Could they stop by the next day? Even if the company couldn't come out for several more days, I would have worked it out. I haven't had a response and it's been over a week now. I saw other reviews with people describing similar interactions which prompted me to write this review. While I can't say for sure if it was a legitimate reason, I still can't help but wonder why I've been ignored all this time.
