This is our second time choosing Jeff at Big Tree Consulting and so happy we did! As always, Jeff and his staff were respectful, energetic, and professional. Due to the way our backyard is laid out we needed to move the branches and logs through our house and they were respectful of our space and their work was quick, safe, and efficient. Can't wait to see you on the big screen, Jeff! Definitely recommend him for all your big tree needs. read more

Heard about Jeff being an expert climbing coconut trees, I was fascinated! Being from Tahiti, I had seen native friends climbing coconut trees! when it came time to get rid of my not so good looking Areca palms, I gave Jeff a try! These palms was more challenging as they were between 4 to 6 inches in diameter and straight up. A big difference difference between Tahitian coconut trees and these palms. His (can do everything) attitude and personality on our first meeting gave me confidence. We agreed on a price! On the day of the job, He and his one man crew showed up on time! I was very impressed of his skills! I can see his love for trees and his work! He was so careful not to damage my beautiful collection of anthuriums and other plants around the base! I highly recommend Jeff, no hesitation! Very professional, and respectful of your trees! read more

Jeff is awesome and easy to work with! First of all, communication was great, something I truly appreciate! Personable and honest, he responded promptly and provided a quick and fair quote for a large lychee tree that needed "trimming," approximately 20 ft off the top. He worked quickly, doing a wonderful job shaping the tree. I was very impressed with how clean he left the area. Extremely happy with the job he did and will definitely refer him to friends and family who require tree trimming services. Mahalo nui Jeff! read more

Jeff and his team are truly professionals. Jeff took his time to look over the work needed done and explain the hows and whys of what he and his team was going to do. Jeff is very calculating and surgical to his approach to every cut. If you have a big tree that needs to be removed without collateral damage to near by structures or plants Jeff is your man. read more

The best coconut trimmer ever! If you are looking for last minute trimmer for your Luxury mansion coconut trimming, he would be the one!

We are very pleased with the service we received, from start to clean-up! Our ugly tree was suffering from a poor start, with multiple crossed branches, too weak and blighted. Heavy on one side and extremely sparse on the other. Jeff had the expertise to radically cut and balance down to the main branches (photo 1.) One year later, it is a beautifully healthy focal point in our yard (photo 2.) read more

Jeff at Big Tree Consulting is superb! I highly recommend him. I agree with all the other positive reviews. Jeff is professional, knowledgeable, and careful. He is also very skilled and checks with you for confirmation of what he plans to cut. He's not a "whack and chip" guy - he is a tree-climber for difficult jobs, and very environmentally conscious: he does not use spikes, uses electric chainsaws when possible, and hauls everything away rather than having an noisy chipper. His clean-up is meticulous. Our neighbors were impressed that he was so considerate about noise and interference. His pricing is very fair for the excellent work he does, and he's a pleasure to work with. If you care about your trees and want careful work, Jeff is the guy! Richard P. read more

We have a mature mango that was in need of a big time trim. Jeff and crew delivered excellent work. Their response was timely and professional. The work was done with great care and respect for the surrounding vegetation and they were careful not to scrape the house with branches on the way out, as other crews have previously. His price was on budget as well. I will not hesitate to call Jeff again for future needs. Highest recommendation! read more

I asked Jeff to look at our Waikiki Condominium property to see what he would recommend. I could see the passion as he walked me through his plan and he made it easy to understand his vision. I was shocked by how quickly he was able to get in, do the work, clean up and left the place so much nicer than what we had before. Jeff's prices were amazing for the work he did. I have tried to work with other companies through the years and I would recommend switching to Big Tree Consulting. read more

Big Tree Consulting does a superb job. They are thoughtful, strategic, skilled, and highly responsive. They cut down two of our trees, one of which was very large and overhung our roof. The other was a 110 year-old Mango tree that grew from the center of our large deck. Watching Jeff work--methodically, carefully, balancing wood, rope, pullies and his own body weight, ensuring safety of both person and property--is a master's class in care and agility. I particularly appreciate how well he listens to his customers. We have a very large shower tree, and over the years he has carefully "curated" it into a centerpiece of our yard, lifting and shaping the canopy beautifully. Big Tree Consulting is truly professional. We highly recommended them. read more

We have a huge mango tree in the corner of the backyard, probably over 50 years old, 4 ft. in diameter. The block wall on the back side has had small root cracks in it since we moved here 4 years ago and we were concerned about roots causing them to get bigger so we were thinking of having the tree trimmed and roots cut or removing the tree (last choice, we love this tree!). Jeff came out and looked it over and was going to send us a quote, but instead he came back the next day...wanted to take a better look and after a little deeper check, he found roots that had already been cut so he recommended we do a good trim, take pictures and measurements of the cracks and just keep an eye on it for the next several years. Good recommendation! He came out yesterday with his crew and did an awesome job of trimming the tree. Got rid of the overhang in the neighbors yards that they didnt like, shaped, thinned and trimmed the tree nicely and kept enough in the right places to keep our privacy from the two story house behind us. They were very thorough with a good clean up job. Jeff is a very knowledgeable, pleasant, likable guy, as were his crew. Pricing was better than other quotes we got also. They also dont use a big chipper to grind up everything, instead they just haul away everything so there was no excessive noise for us and the neighbors to put up with for hours. A big, big plus. We highly recommend Big Tree Consulting!! read more
