It's quite busy here so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. We really like the pizza here. Super delicious tho the yogurt drink not my favorite.

A rainy afternoon spent with lovely friends and craving authentic hummus! This place over impressed if there is such thing. The food tasted, smelt so fresh! The pitas can creep up on you and fill you up! They are so good. Our waiter was beyond amazing giving us recommendations and brought us an amazing array of entrees and appetizers. I recommend the lamb entree and any hummus dip

SERVICE - located on Atlantic ave - large indoor space with plenty of seating for larger and smaller groups - recommend making a reservation as it can get busy even on a weekday - great service! the waiter was very accommodating when I asked for a substitution and even though my order had a miscommunication the manager came to our table to apologize - food served relatively quickly - ambiance good for a semi formal meal MENU - Palestinian and middle eastern food - vegetarian and vegan options available - average price FOOD - mezze filistini (10/10): hummus, babaghanoush, tabbouleh, tahini selata, muhammara, and labneh served as a shareable dips platter. This sounded so delicious I ordered it as my entree. I asked to swap out the labneh for falafel instead though since my falafel never came I got an extra order of muhammara. This with the unlimited pillowy soft pita is the ultimate combination to please any palette. The portion is generous and lasted me 2 meals. WOULD I GO BACK? Absolutely! Loved the food and the service.

Really solid Palestinian food and a solid spot for a large group. We were 7 adults and 2 kids so it was a large table. A little slow on service but the restaurant stayed busy while we were there. Overall I think the food is really delicious. As a table we shared two family style delicious. We also got the mezzo filistini and the hot appetizer mix. We all loved the halloumi but who doesn't love fried cheese? Definitely deserves a visit if you're in the neighborhood!

Have lived near Al Badawi for a long while, and decided to walk in on a rainy Thursday night. The place was packed and had a lively and energetic vibe. It was fairly easy to get a walk in seat, but it felt lucky considering it seemed to be the only open table. It is a BYOB spot as they don't serve their own alcohol but there's a liquor store next door. There are so many options on the menu and I feel like we just scratched the surface. The portions are large! Between two of us I don't think we finished any one plate and we came hungry. My favorite was the lamb shank (SO tender and flavorful) and the zahir (a fried cauliflower dish with tahini and pomegranate molasses). I'd definitely come back to try more items.

Three of us walked in at 1:45 pm on a Tuesday over the holiday break and there was no wait. Mezze Filistini was solid (some items were hit or miss) but the Fattat Jaj was amazing - definitely recommend that.

What a beautiful PalestinianRestaurant we had dinner with family and friends! Very nice lit up well maintained vibrantly decorated place. Deliciously delightful menu with taste in every bite!! We were welcomed by a few servers getting us seated nicely and comfortably. We were offered complimentary freshly baked bread with Zaatar and Olives. You could tell the Zaatar was from Palestine. It tasted authentic. We had Kibbeh & 7 Cheese Flatbread for appetizers. Then we had Zahr Ma Laban, Maklouba & Mixed Grill Plate for our main entrees. And to top off the evening we had Kanafa for dessert. Everything was perfect!!! Will definitely come back for more. Keep it up guys!!!

I hate that I don't remember the server's name, but I think it was Eric because my friend's name is Aerika, and I think they had a conversation about that. He was by himself and did a great job taking care of everyone. Now, the food is pricey, so this is a place you go to when you get paid. The vibes take you on a plane ride and landed in Palestine, with faux pomegranate trees and all. The bread and appetizer platter were great, so I highly recommend it! I tried the lamb shank and it wasn't bad, but for the price, it wasn't amazing to me. Sad to say, I loved my friend's chicken dish way more than my lamb shank, and if I go back, I'm gonna get the chicken kebab, hands down. Because the flavor was there!! I dream about it friend. I really do think this place is worth a visit for the vibes, so you can feel transported. I don't think I'll have the opportunity to go to Palestine :( This restaurant is perfect to go to, and transport yourself! Enjoy the vibes (it's chef's kiss). Yes, I would go back.

Went to Al Badawi last Saturday while visiting NY and had an incredible time. We ordered the chicken and steak skewers. They sat on a bed of rice that was incredibly flavorful - was some of the best I've ever had. Vibes were also amazing. Servers were incredibly kind and funny. Made the meal so much more enjoyable. Would love to come back here next time I'm in town!

All ingredients are so fresh and yummy! Can't wait to go back with a big group of friends and try more different type of food! Service was good, nothing to complain about!

I came here yesterday for lunch. I was very looking forward to trying Palestinian food and felt this would be a great experience. So they have two locations, one in Brooklyn and another in the city. Walking in, I do very much like the vibe as it is very inviting and the servers are super friendly and attentive. It was a large party and they served unlimited pita (freshly made) and olives and some type of yogurt dip. My wife has gluten allergy and it was nice that they brought out a small plate of sliced cucumbers and carrots at no extra charge. Given a large party, we shared a number of family style dishes. We got the Ouzi Chicken which is basically a 1/2 tender roasted chicken on a bed of rice and vegetables. It was an alright dish as I expected something a bit different and maybe more cut up. We also got the Ouzi lamb which is similar to the chicken but with lamb. That was really good and ohhhh so soft. We also got a shareable vegetable tray with bunch of different spices, hummus, and dips so that went well with the pitas. Now the disappointing dish was the Bamia as the menu said it is fresh baby okra cooked in a tomato stew. When we got it, it looks like beef chunks over some type of tomato base stew. We asked the server and he insisted it was a beef dish over baby okra. To us, it didn't look and taste like baby okra and nowhere on the menu indicated meat as a protein. So that dish while very tasty, was a bit of a let down in terms of expectations. One other comment is while I get these are family style dishes, the amount of rice served all across was a bit too plentiful. I wish they would offer options other than the rice throughout. Lastly, the place does offer BYOB with zero corking fee so that was great to see. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would give this place a very strong 3 stars.

Wow what a gem. The Maklouba is my favorite off the menu but before you Jim in try the appetizers especially the creamy hummus The beef Ouzi has a hunk of beef that is SO tender and soft The seven cheese flat bread is very cheesy indeed A bit on the salty side Service is friendly and quick and courteous The ambiance is reminiscent of sitting in a olive tree grove with painted murals BYOB by the way and I think there may not be a corkage fee either !

Walking through, you get a nice view of the kitchen area, seeing where the magic happens: an exciting way to start the experience! My group decided to share a few things, all of which were delicious. The vegetable pizza (or "pitza" as they style it) was a huge hit: we loved the crust, with its resonant notes of olive oil, and the mozzarella cheese could not have been fresher. The olives and peppers delightfully balanced the cheese and tomatoes, making for an irresistible flavor profile and mouthfeel. Seriously, do not underestimate this formidable pie! The chicken platter came loaded with grilled chicken, hummus, and salad, along with warm, freshly baked pita. Perfect option for the person that wants to take their time sampling a variety of foods. The leg of lamb sandwich, meanwhile, is ready to be consumed at whatever pace you deem fit: indeed, one of our party devoured it voraciously, no crumbs left behind. And finally, we also worked our way through the large feta salad, which turns out to actually be an enormous platter of crumbled feta with some diced tomatoes on top. Don't order this expecting a leafy green salad, it's all cheese! BUT, do order it so that you can add some tangy feta to everything else on the table. It really makes the flavors pop. My first impression of Bedouin Tent was excellent. Service was great and the prices are very fair for the area. Whether you're seeking a more traditional Mediterranean meal or something with a fusion twist, this is an awesome spot to consider.

The restaurant was pretty spacious with some outdoor seating as well. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered the small babaganoush, hummus, and 3 sandwiches. The pricing was fairly reasonable, and the ambiance made for a lovely dinner. I'd definitely come back here if I'm back in the area!

The team here is so friendly and they're good at giving you a heads up of how long orders will take. The food is a fantastic deal as you get a lot of it for the price, and it's always perfectly seasoned. What I've tried so far: - the falafel platter - the lamb platter - the steak sandwich - a number of juices and smoothies The falafel platter - INCREDIBLE deal for the amount of food. Only $11 for falafel, a salad, hummus, and pita. The falafel aren't dry and overall they're well seasoned. The only thing this is missing is their rice (which is amazing on its own). The lamb platter - I like this included super flavorful rice. Generous portion of meat. Definitely heavier than the falafel platter. Steak sandwich - SO good. They have some kind of secret sauce that ties everything together. Portion was smaller than the platters (easier to get through in one sitting) and this was probably the best thing I tried on the menu. It does say it comes with a side salad but we never got one. Would be better with a salad to balance out the steak+bread. Smoothies and juices - very fresh and tasty. Overall, we're very happy we found this cute neighborhood falafel spot :)

Abdullah is super friendly, very helpful, and was only slightly confused that two men were about to share a lamb shawarma platter as opposed to getting their own separate meals. (What Abdullah did not know is that this was our second lunch of the afternoon - classic bang bang - and we're pretty comfortable with each other.) When it came out, the platter was everything I'd hoped for. A stunning, colorful array of intensely flavorful lamb slices carved off the spit and served over rice and salad, slathered in white and hot sauce, topped with pickled vegetables. To be sure, I regretted having a second lunch, but not because of anything amiss with the food. And I also regretted not getting any baklava, but I'll rectify that next time around.

We live in Jersey and come to Brooklyn every year to get our taxes done. Its become a tradition to go to Mazzat after our tax appt. In all these years not only have we never had a bad meal, but the meal has always been exceptional! Today it was just my wife and I. Our two sons had other plans. Even though it was just us two, we ordered like there were four. We started off with drinks. My wife had the Mango Sunrise and I had a Mojito. Carlos, who does a little bit of everything at Mazzat recommended it and it was the best Mojito I've ever had! Well balanced, the mint stood out and the agave gave it just the right touch of sweetness. Mazzat is a place where food is meant to be shared so we ordered multiple apps and two entrees. We got hummus, merguez (lamb sausage), garlic shrimp and chicken cigars, which you can also order with lamb. All of it came with a basket of soft pita with crispy pita chips added. The hummus has the consistency of Gelato; smooth with the slightest of lemon flavor, drizzled with olive oil and paired perfectly with the pita. Chicken cigars come with an avocado crema that complements the smoky flavor of the chicken inside. Shrimp was fantastic and the merguez equally so. Both come bathed in olive oil and spices, perfect for dipping. My wife had shakshuka because she's a big tomato fan and was very happy with her choice. I got the half marinated chicken which comes with bulghur rice, a side salad and a garlic dipping sauce. The chicken had a deep smoky grilled taste that permeates the meat. It didnt need the dipping sauce but the dipping sauce was a great partner nonetheless. The bulghur rice deserves it's own paragraph to describe it but I'll keep it to buttery, soft and fluffy and unbelievably delicious! We also ordered a fattoush salad which is as good as it gets as far as salads go. We consider Mazzat our favorite restaurant pound for pound. When it comes to food quality, quantity, value, freshness, service and atmosphere, you'll be hard pressed to get any better than Mazzat. Apologies for the long read but I feel you have to give a restaurant like Mazzat it's kudos and that just won't happen thoroughly in a one paragraph review.
