Teriyaki chicken bento box with egg rolls
    Carolyn R.

Went here on a Saturday with about a dozen other women, we had made reservations for our group. Ambiance was pretty basic, but looked clean and somewhat modern. There were only a few other customers in the place as we went shortly after they opened. Our server was unexpectedly quiet, no greeting, no menu suggestions and was not in any hurry to even grab us all water. Once we had water, there was no offer to take our orders. A few of us were starving! She would walk past our table, as if to check on us, but nothing was happening. We finally spoke up and said, "can we order please?" When she realized our group wouldn't be using all the tables they had set up for us, she took the time to break down those tables instead of taking our orders. Food arrived within a good time frame, and the presentation was gorgeous, the miso soup and side salad were both delicious. Now, I am not a sushi person, so I can't speak to the quality of that, but it sure looked pretty, and all the gals gobbled it up. I ordered the teriyaki bento box, and I enjoyed it, but they do give you mostly dark meat chicken. The egg rolls were delicious! She cleared our dishes and was able to honor separate checks, and because we were a large group, a 20% tip was automatically added. I understand that completely, but I also think it should be mentioned. Many double tipped as they were not really paying attention and I know, that is on them, but when you're with a group and everyone is talking, it is easy to overlook. This was a group meetup, and although there was nothing horrible about this lunch, it's just not going to be a place I go back to.

I loved how fresh and high quality this sashimi was. The texture was silky and smooth, with a natural sweetness that made each bite so enjoyable. The fish had a clean, pure taste with no overpowering flavors, making it perfect on its own or with a little soy sauce. It was an unforgettable meal.

2 pc NZ Salmon Nigiri, Sunshine roll and a custom one I can't remember the name

This place is tucked into a low traffic area, but had some of the best sushi Ive had. Clean, fresh, and vibrant flavors were packed into every bite. The rolls had unique sauces and flavors and were all very tasty. I'm a big salmon lover and their New Zealand salmon sashimi was extremely fresh, buttery, and flavorful. Our server, Jen, was amazing. She was working with a kitchen that was backed up due to the Friday evening dinner rush and she handled it with a tremendous amount of grace. She brought us a complimentary appetizer for the wait and was also looking to make sure what she did have control over was taken care of, like drinks, dessert, etc. We are definitely going back again.

Pizza roll, Kalani roll and can't remember the one on the right but it was our favorite.

We came on Monday night. It was pretty busy for this small establishment. They had signs posted to bear with them through their shortage in staffing but we had no issues. Our server was very kind and attentive. The rolls we had were all delicious and fresh. We ordered three as well as miso soup (very good!). The seaweed salad wasn't the best I've had but pretty good. The fried ice cream was huge which we shared and couldn't even finish. Overall a nice night out.

However, we had a double date planned and Kosta's was chosen for us. One of the best choices ever. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you walk in; friendly greeting within seconds of walking in, calming colors of blue and white adorn every wall with charming tablecloths on each table, and cute decor. Service was immediate with a carafe of water and a huge smile. I loved the vibe! Ordered a German Hefeweizen that came cold and frothy. Next came the Greek salad with the most juicy, crisp tomatoes, green peppers and cucumbers, then heavily sprinkled with feta cheese, a pinch of capers, and a side of the best Greek dressing I've ever tasted. I was originally taken aback that there was no lettuce, but real Greek salad doesn't have lettuce! I had no idea. Hubby and I shared the Broiler Mix from the appetizer menu so we could sample multiple items. The Broiler mix has 2 chicken skewers, 2 beef skewers, 2 Kefta patties, 2 chorizo, 2 pitas, fries, tomato wedges and a healthy dollop of tzatziki. The pita tasted homemade; it was soft, thick without being too think and didn't taste chalky. The skewers were exceptionally cooked...tender, flavorful pieces of chicken and beef. The kefta (lamb & beef) patties had a nice texture, which was enhanced with the herbaceous tzatziki sauce. The only disappointment was the chorizo as it was overcooked and dry. It was easy to overlook as everything else was a shining star. We would go back in a heartbeat....totally made me want to explore more Greek food there!

The tzatziki is AWESOME, definitely get some, and their sweet potato fries are perfect. But the lamb and beef meatball sub I got was meh for me, personally. I was hoping for at least some taste of beef but it was overwhelming lamb, to the point I wasn't really interested in eating it. I would go there again to try something else, just steer clear of the meatball sub if you don't absolutely LOVE lamb - if you do, I'm sure you'll love it.

And honestly? We keep coming back. I know everyone compares it to Ahi because there really aren't that many sushi places in Eagle, but they fill different moods for us. No long wait, no complicated parking situation, no "do we need a reservation?" discussion. We've gone quite a few times now and it's become one of those reliable local spots when you just want a quick sushi lunch that doesn't destroy your budget. The thing that jumped out at me was the photo of the burger, now call me crazy but I think at this point I can look at a menu, photos of food and then the reviews to guide me. Yelp hasn't failed me yet! The first thing was walking in the door there were two hostess who smiled and greeted me. We were seated at the bar since there were just two of us. I ordered the Crave burger with bacon and my guest ordered the house salad with tortilla soup. Everything was excellent! The burger was juicy, flavorful, the bacon was perfectly crispy, Smokey and the white cheddar cheese was the perfect compliment! Now let's talk about the bun, I typically don't eat burger buns but this one was the exception to the rule. It was homemade obviously, buttery, light, and toasted to perfection. I ate both of them! Hahahaha! I felt so dirty typing that the French fries were crispy, just the right amount of salty and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. My guest agrees with everything in this review. The house salad was fresh, the vinaigrette was homemade and delicious and the tortilla soup was even great! The ambience was a place you could have a business meeting or take your significant other on a date night. There is literally something for everyone on their crave-able menu ( see what I did there?)
