Boy she wasn't wrong! 2 people in our group got all. You can eat sushi. I got the hibachi shrimp and my mom got a California roll. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious! My guy said that it is the best sushi that he has had outside of Thailand and was so surprised that he found this in Boise! This is high praise as he comes from Seattle. Our sushi artist Eton was friendly and made the most beautiful rolls. Not only did they look pretty, they tasted delicious! The atmosphere is casual and you will enjoy the experience. Genuinely a really great experience! This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. An employee named Soso gave us an amazing experience. He interacted with us without being in our faces considering we were sitting at the bar, and he was really funny and chill. Went here with my family for a brother's graduation and we had some of the BEST SUSHI EVER. Personal I love a citrusy roll and they could not have done a better job when I ordered the Palikir. My daughter & I - did the all you can eat and well our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We should have stuck to Al a carte. Prices are a bit higher and there's a huge selection of sushi to choose from. But honestly there are other places that the quality is better (i.e. Sushi Shack downtown Meridian or even IZumi). Absolutely tasteless. The sushi roll was warm, which I'm not a fan of. I sent my San Francisco roll back because I just couldn't stomach it. It just tasted bad. And I rarely send food back, but tonight, nah. Plus, the menu said it was supposed to be 10 PCs and I only received 6. After sending my roll back, I got some shrimp tempura instead - figured you can't really mess that up. Welp! It tasted very imitation, if imitation shrimp is even a thing? The house salad was fine, miso soup, fine. Everything else was very lacking. After I got the check, I noticed the roll was not removed. The waitress tried to tell me that nobody else has complained about it, so she doesn't understand. She flat out didn't want to remove it. I'm sorry, I only took one bite and I'm not paying for something that isn't good. I was trying to be cool about it all, but she didn't seem to want to take it off. After having to haggle with her, she finally removed it. I would also like to add that the menu prices are not updated. So, be sure to check your bill and compare before paying. The service was decent. No complaints there, except when she refused to remove my roll. Ambience, eh. It's kind of lunch room-esque. I'll not be returning. There are much better sushi places around. If you're a fan of IOU, this place is for you!! Althoughl cleaner and new (& much better bathrooms!!). Similar rolls and they do have a food truck. We are familiar with several of the rolls but good to see a few new ones (Small Joe & Sunset Roll were tasty!) and the yummy crystal shrimp. I always ask for plenty of ginger and they gave a large delicious plateful....Mr enjoyed immensely and sat and visited with the owner who was training staff etc. Service up at the bar was FAST AND glad to see they're open on Sundays! read more

I got my kid just a single California Roll which was $10.99 (a little much for a simple roll) & I got the AYCE paying $21.99, which is not bad but I've gotten better quality sushi at Sushi Ya for all you can eat. They didn't serve me my miso soup that came with meal option but that's ok. Every roll had fallen apart after grabbing it, though it tasted fine, the presentation just wasn't there. The family running this place has GREAT potential and I love to see families thrive in a business like this, they're just lacking some things. I was trying to place an order on the website and it was a bit confusing to ensure I had the right location. So I went to order with them in person but it was a confusing process about what I was trying to do. They said it would be done in a few minutes and I said I would be back in 5 minutes to get it. When I arrived back 10 minutes later it was still being made and was another 5-10 more minutes for it to be ready. Another guy came in and left after no one acknowledged him. I wish I had taken a picture of our food. If I was only judging by looks I wouldn't have ate it. The flavors were good we had a Meridian and lucky peak and a salmon nigiri was good quality but we did find a decent sized bone. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE ....and SANITY! I love writing good reviews. Unfortunately this is the worst review I have ever written and hopefully will ever. This place is the WORST I have ever eaten in my entire life. Lets start with the restaurant itself. Its on the corner of a large strip mall. They redid the outside to be inviting did a good job on the facade. Now once you get inside you are not really greeted , just grunted at by a family from who the hell knows where, but not Japan or Korea or anywhere that values customer service, respect, politeness or honor for sure as they were very rude. The first lady comes and asks for drinks. We told her and then she ask "what you want"? We told her three all you can eat Sushi. So she leaves. Then the (I think son of owner) comes and asks what we wanted. We told him in detail our very complicated order of Ebi Shrimp Nigiri and Tuna Nigiri, 10 Orders. So we start to wait 20, 30, 40 minites go by in the 8 customer filled restaurant and we asked a few times "is the food coming?". Finally the Ebi comes with a few couple of mystery items on the plate that we did not order. We informed them we did not order these and tthey said "oh just keep it". I asked the son "when is my food coming (tuna)," he rsponded "its coming". Another 20 minutes, 30, I again asked where is my food. He proceeds to argue loudly " you have YOU order". I again explain that I did not and what I ordered. He then says "we dont make that". I show him the menu and the "chef" says over his shoulder. " I am making it". So then he produces 2 pieces of fish. I tell them "Perfect, please make the rest". 20 more minutes go by and I get up and approcah the "chef". I ask where is my order?. The son yells "you only ordered 1". My whole table exclaims , "no he didn't he ordered 10, it is an all you can eat place why would anyone order 1"? Son contiues to yell no I did not. This went on for a while and they finally produced 10 half size nigiri tuna. Mind you the only reason we have endured this crap for so long is we were entertaining an out of town business associate who really wanted Sushi and the REAL AYCE Sushi place YOITOMO was closed on Sundays. The crechendo was the bill. I finally just asked for the bill. I just wanted it over. The son again then approched the table with what was left of the mystery platter we never ordered and demanded we pay extra for not eating it.....Yeah We told them it was their mistake and that was a whole new round of arguing. I finally told them "Look I am paying for three all you can eats, and two ice teas, or not paying, and please go ahead and call the police. They agreed and charged our card. OK the punchline FOOD POISONING!!! I thought we were dealing with WORMS too. Jury still out on that. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE!!! I honestly believe, truly, the good reviews are fabricated. It is a shithole and that kind of attitude does not belong in our beloved IDAHO! read more
