Restaurant was super busy. Despite the chaos, our service was awesome. We ordered edamame which didn't make it out before dinner; however, the waiter made it up to us by taking it off of our bill. Everything we ordered was awesome!

A really good deal if you eat an average amount (all you eat for $40.00). The sushi was very good, not excellent. The restaurant was clean and the seating was comfortable. The service was good...

Pretty good sushi! The all you can eat is the way to go. I really enjoyed the nigiri, but the rolls were super popular among the other customers. The rolls are very non traditional and creative. Service was excellent (thank you Alexis). The ambiance is comfortable. Definitely would return.

Definitely my fave AYCE sushi!!! Quality of fish is great. I take my husband with me here but he doesn't eat sushi, but that's okay because they also order other food :) I like getting their nigiris because you can taste the fish more than the rolls. Their rolls are also amazing though! Definitely 10/10 would come back here again!

This place is absolute perfection! From the ambiance, service, value, and food. Everything is so good. I highly recommend it. I got the all you can eat option and ordered tempura shrimp, tuna nigiri, miso soup, and seaweed salad. I also ordered the anger management roll which is their most popular roll. I see why because it was so good. It's located downtown and there is a parking garage right next to it where you can park. They also have outdoor seating for people watching and enjoying the great weather.

Loved it! Easy to join waitlist. The customer service was A+. The food was delicious! The egg rolls were some of the best I've ever had. We tried the Bronco, the Zootopia and the Gladiator. All really delicious. If you're worried about spice, the 1 jalapeño spice level is hardly anything at all. I didn't even break a sweat on the upper lip.

The only sad part about coming here is the wait time, if it's a weekend night good luck. You most likely will have a wait time of over an hour. However, once you're seated the food comes pretty quick. All you can eat sushi is definitely the best bang for your buck. I do really enjoy the service and sushi here and would recommend!!

My sister and I were going to an event the Morrison center tonight so we wanted to have dinner somewhere close to it. Yoi Tomo sounded like the perfect place to get our night started. We did arrive before the chaos started. Walked in and got sat right away. I love the vibe of this joint! It's busy with customers, food is being pushed out left and right and employees hustling to their tables. The decor is bright and fun, makes the tone of your dining experience light and fun. It also makes me happy to see local joints staying busy and prosperous! Michelle took care of us tonight. She's very sweet and cute. Drinks were started while we looked over the menu. I did look at home online but after going over the menu in person, I thought I knew what I wanted. That changed, everything sounded so good! They have too many options so it was hard to narrow it down to one roll. I ended up ordering some miso, inari and the Anger Management roll. My sister ordered the Blade Runner roll and some Katsudon. We wanted to share a little of everything. I love love love their miso here. It's hot! It's salty! It has bits of nori and tofu! And they give you a beautiful helping of it. It is so good! The inari was delicious. It's not overly stuffed with rice but I did remove some of it. I just like a little rice in it. The Anger Management roll was tasty! It does have spicy crab in it but wasn't spicy at all. I love the sauces that they topped the roll with. I think next time I'm going to add cucumber to the roll to add some extra texture to it. The Blade Runner was fresh and clean tasting. The outside pieces didn't really have the garlic butter taste to it. But once you got the middle pieces, the garlic butter was prominent. The ebi on the roll was so fresh. It was definitely a good roll. The katsudon was crunchy and savory. It came with a side of sauce that added extra flavor to it. Honestly, it would be so much better with curry sauce. I'm going to see if that's an option next time. That would be killer. Sara ended up finishing our service tonight. She was sweet and got a birthday dessert for my sister. I wanted to start my sister's birthday weekend off tonight as well as our planned event. She got a nice scoop of red bean ice cream with a cutie birthday candle. Sara and Michelle did a great job taking care of us tonight. I have come to the conclusion that most sushi joints in town don't add a lot of acid to their sushi rice. I'm very harsh at rating sushi due to working at a sushi joint for over 15 years. But, I have to let it go expecting that kind of acidity. So, just judging the kind of sushi they serve, it was really good! The seafood was fresh. The sauces were savory. The rice was prepared perfectly. And the miso was fabulous I will have to try their all you can eat next time. Some of their appetizer options sound tasty. What we had tonight was fantastic. I look forward to coming back trying some more rolls from this joint.

A bit sweet and odd though unique.

Ask the Community - Yoi Tomo

Is there a difference in price for lunch all you can eat and dinner all you can eat?

It used to be different prices but since covid, it's all one price.

Do they offer all you can eat all day? or is it just a dinner option?

Yes! They offer all you can eat all day. It's the best option in my opinion. Definitely recommend throwing some appetizers in there along with the sushi since some are included in the all you can eat!

How does the restaurant handle the "all you can eat" menu item for delivery?

All you can eat option is only for dinning in customers. We have Take Out Special Deal which is any four sushi rolls from our menu with $31.99.

    Are they currently taking reservations?

No, but you can join the waitlist with a live wait time in order to get an idea of when you'll be seated. You can join it here on Yelp ahead of time that way you can plan ahead and don't have to sit and wait until you're seated

Also, you can take leftovers, but you will be charged for extra. $6.99 if you want to take your soup home and then they price anything extra, like from the bar, on how much you get. It's rather difficult, if not almost impossible, to find delicious, authentic Japanese cuisine in the Treasure Valley. This small food cart is an Idaho gem. I've tried several of their food items, however this review will focus on their namesake dish, takoyaki (octopus ball). For those who don't know, takoyaki is a popular Japanese street food with bits of chopped octopus and dough inside a slightly crispy shell garnished with takoyaki sauce. I was very happy with how similar the snack tastes to the ones I've had in Japan. Genki serves these in 6 pieces ($6) and there are several sauces available. I like to top mine with sriracha to add a kick. It's a wonderful mid evening snack! My only complaint is on a couple visits I found my takoyaki to be rather old tasting, like either the oil hadn't been changed in a while or the octopus was overdue. It's happened less times than more so I'll still continue to eat this unless it becomes more frequent. Genki use to be very active on the Street Food Finder app but this summer they seem to limit their postings to Facebook and Instagram, so if you want to find them you'll have to go either of those routes.

It's hit or miss but the shopping center has lots of great shops so onward and upward! There is always some parking on the side over by the Boise Co-op wine tasting room on Fort Street. I absolutely love sushi so much and I was very excited to see the sign go up in the window when they were just about to open. I've avoided going because it's a little Hefty on the pockets and I didn't want to get addicted to another sushi restaurant otherwise I'll go broke, but I had a little extra so I decided to treat myself to a small bite for dinner. I ordered the Dragon Roll which is a staple for me and I also ordered marinated Cucumbers with Crispy Onions and Togarashi. The Cucumbers were tasty but I think could have been a little bit colder and a little bit crunchier and fresher! The crispy onions were a nice touch giving it a little bit of texture on top of texture and the seasoning was tangy and yummy. Not sure it was worth the price at a whopping $8! I think $5 would be a little more on point. I then ordered the Dragon Roll. The going price in town for such a role is in fact between $18 and $20 at least from my experience. I don't find that unreasonable but I will be transparent in saying I have had better at two or three other restaurants in town. I felt the flavors were slightly muddled and the fish was not very cold because I think the rice was a little too warm when they wrapped the fish around it. The other thing is aesthetically you eat with your eyes first! I think that at this price point for these roles a little more drama is in order! It's a Dragon Roll! Maybe some shrimp tails sticking out of it and maybe a little more color would have been great! But that's just me ! I'm a big foodie so the presentation does mean a lot to me. Other than that it was a decent roll. I'm interested to try some others. It was a good roll but not a superior role. I think that there is some room for improvements here and there, but all in all, I do think I will go back and try some other dishes for sure! The customer service was fabulous and the place is beautiful and cozy!
