This guy is legit! I have dealt with several roofing contractors for various repairs, and even replacement - none of them stack up to Kelly's professionalism. He was prompt, honest, and more than fair on pricing. He even went above and beyond the scope of work I called him out for. I would 100% use him again in the future - and have already recommended him to others. What a refreshing experience. read more

Highly recommend Kelly and his team. They did a wonderful job on our roof that was just completed, worked hard, late, and even on Saturday to beat the weather. Kelly was honest and forthright about every element, was really a breath of fresh air to deal with. read more

Kelly and his crew are efficient, courteous, and were on time, and on schedule. Kelly does not try to up-sell, and tells you what you need. I had a complete new roof installed in 3 days and it looks perfect! I had 3 bids and he was wasn't the cheapest (but very close) but I knew when I met him I would get professional service, and I did. I am going solar and he got me in his schedule so that I can hopefully get the 30% tax credit too! At the end of the project I almost felt like I was working with family instead of "Kelly' a contractor. Consider Affordable Roofing on your next roofing needs. Kudos to Kelly and crew! read more

Kelly and the Affordable Roofing team were amazing. The process went smoothly and Kelly is extremely responsive and helpful with material choices. His team worked an extra day to get the roof waterproof as we recently had rain in Danville, and they made sure it was done before the rains. Kelly is very detail-oriented and treated the roof as if it was his own home. They are a small local contra costa county company, definitely support them!! read more

Just finished our new roof. Everything was done the way Kelly said it would be and our roof looks great! They finished in a timely manner and cleaned up the incredible mess from the old wood shake roof. Afterward he installed my new skylight for me as promised. He has a very fast and hard working crew that did a great job! read more

Kelly is such a great professional. We needed a brand new roof on our rental house in a timely manner. I put several bid requests out at the same time and Kelly with Affordable Roofing called us within a very short time with plans to go by the house. He's worth his weight in gold! Great job! We were prepared for a higher price but Kelly was honest and let us know we didn't need to replace all the lumber we thought we would. Thanks Kelly! If we had another property that needed a roof, we'd call Kelly. read more

Affordable Roofing Systems - New roof! Great job! Thank you Affordable Roofing! - Roofing Near Me

The reviews are right on. We recently purchased a new home and were told the roof was recently placed. After having the home inspector highly recommend a new roof we contacted 6 different roofing companies, being ignored by one put off to January or February by others, we found a few which responded. Kelly contacted me directly after I had submitted an inquiry via Yelp. Mind you this was around thanksgiving and on a Friday. Not only was Kelly punctual but also courteous, knowledgeable and kind, which is so appreciated- as we know nothing about roofing or roofs. Although they are not the least expensive I truly believe they are fair. Add the great customer service and responsiveness and hands down our family was treated as if we were paying so much more. Kelly and his team... I can't find the words to describe them- phenomenal, superb, courteous, professional, etc. etc. etc.!! This is truly a family business which I would highly recommend. By the way, the very next day our roof was installed was a the beginning of a large storm series and (fingers crossed) all is dry. Use these people Yelpers!!!! Support local/family biz! read more

Absolutely would recommend them. I was so stressed after the big storm we had a couple months ago. They were very responsive, great customer service. Managed to get us in early the week of Thanksgiving instead of third week in December. Wow we dodged another storm. Had lots of dry rot and kept our quote almost spot on considering all the work they had to do. Very impressed and trust means everything to me and I was very comfortable with them and all their hard work. Workers were very friendly and were there to answer any questions. Just a great experience. Will be recommending to everyone. read more

Kelly B. from Affordable Roofing Systems returned my call promptly, gave me a quote on gutter cleaning and scheduled a date to come to my Pinole home. He was on time and as in his business name, was affordable. He cleaned up around the premises when done and advised on future care. Did I mention he found 2 clogged gutters!!! Thank you Mr. B.! read more

Kelly and his crew @ Affordable Roofing just replaced the very old cedar shake roof on my 1960 Alameda home with new plywood and GAF asphalt shingles. Very happy with every aspect of the installation. Kelly is a great guy. Clean, polite and concerned about getting the details right, and ... affordable - just like the name says! Highly recommend. read more

Very responsive. Even for a small roof project, Kelly is willing to help out. No wonder 5 stars on the reviews... it tells you that this guy is willing to help and not just pick Big projects for the money. read more

What a GREAT EXPERIENCE. What a GREAT COMPANY. This company is run by a man that knows his business. Kelly T. Barry answered my request for a bid on my roof. I'm NOT the kind of guy that enjoys going through contractors with statistics and billing and product information. I wanted someone honest and on time with the workmanship and timing of a reliable project and completion. The first bid was from a company based in LA and after a walk on my roof came up with a bill of over $20,000 and that was the roof alone. Scary! Next, I took a bid from a local contractor that didn't even show up for the meeting and inspection. Big Mistake. Then came Kelly T. Barry and Affordable Roofing Systems. He gave me statistics on material, timing and cost. Now be aware this week was into the 100s and Kelly told me that he and his crew would have it done in 3 days. I asked for a permit and he got the permit, I asked for gutters and downspouts and on the third day his man was there making the gutters and downspouts. They even came in the color of the house, so it was a perfect fit with the perfect color. DONE. The inspector came twice during the project and had NOT ONE PROBLEM on the job. I bought the crew a case of water and a chest loaded with ice. Everyone was happy. I was happy because of Affordable Roofing Systems and the honesty and workmanship of Barry and his crew. Done on Time and Under budget. I have NO hesitation of telling my family, friends and neighbors about the wonderful job that was done on my house. read more

Kelly and his team were professional and efficient. I have recommended him on several occasions and heard great reviews in return. Very communicative and respond quickly. read more

Kelly and his crew did a great job on our 1000sq ft home in Martinez. His bid was not the highest nor the lowest, but perfectly in the middle. I'd recommend affordable roofing systems in a heart beat. read more

As with other reviewers, my husband and I had a wonderful experience working Kelly and crew to replace our roof. He is an excellent and responsive communicator and offered very competitive pricing. The foreman onsite is clearly a guy who takes great pride in his work and left us feeling confident that our new roof was installed in the right way. Affordable Roofing gets our highest recommendation. read more

The owner Kelly is extremely professional, quick/responsive with communication, and competitively priced!!

I think you should remove "request quote button" from your yelp page if you are not taking on new appointments. Agree? "Unable to service Thank you for your message. At the moment we're fully booked and not taking on new appointments. Sincerely, Kelly Barry" read more

We had 3 quotes done for our house and Kelly was right there comparable. I called him up and within 3-4 days he and his crew were up there doing work. Within 2 days the work was complete. Kelly payed close attention to all the minor details and not just the shingles. Our roof looks great and even our neighbors have complimented on how good it looks. Kelly and his crew have great communication, craftsmanship, and personable. We would definitely recommend him! Ryan read more

I had gotten four estimates to replace my roof. Kelly's was not the lowest but he replaced my roof the way I wanted it done. I highly recommend Affordable roofing systems if you are looking for a very honest roofer. Kelly's crew came early on day one and were all done on day two mid afternoon. Did a very fine clean up after finishing the roof job. Thank you Kelly for the great job you and your crew did for me read more

Kelly's crew was quick and efficient. Came in with the lowest bid and we are extremely happy with both the work and the price!

Had a great experience with Kelly and the crew at Affordable Roofing Systems. We had 5 or 6 quotes to replace the roof and insulation and we were most comfortable right off the bat with Kelly, didn't feel like we were being sold a bunch of work that wasn't needed. At the end of the job, the price was right there where it was estimated and everything was priced fairly. We had never replaced a roof before so we went in pretty nervous but I can say we are very happy with the quality and overall process with this company, we would highly recommend them. read more

Kelly was extremely helpful during the entire process. I echo what many other people said in their 5-star reviews. He is professional, clear, meticulous, communicative, and fair. Top-notch. read more

Kelly and his crew did a great job. On time, very clean, and fast! Dependable and affordable, couldn't ask for more! Highly recommend!

Great Value! Kelly and his crew were up front, honest, quick, courteous, and really helpful. Affordable Roofing Systems' quote was really competitive without a single change order. Kelly helped clean up all the legacy roof penetrations and even gave me a great reference for gutter work. Thanks Kelly. read more

Kelly's guys just finished our roof. Everything was right. The price was right. Kelly's crew was on time. They all worked, all the time. They cleaned up everything. Kelly calls the customers "Boss" and treats us with respect and dignity. Best of all, we got a great looking roof. I highly recommend them. read more

Just had our roof done by Affordable Roofing, and they did a wonderful job. Kelly was very imformative , friendly and easy going. His "foreman" on the job was also a pleasure to work with, he was very helpful when we had questions. We had to have Direct Tv come out and reinstall our dish and they worked around him while he did the job. The roof was done in a day and a half, probably would of been sooner, but the winds put a damper on the first day.. I highly recommend this company and like one of the reviews here, you dont really need to call around, just hire them.. read more

Kelly from Affordable Roofing Systems was a pleasure to work with. Our mid-century modern home has a shallow pitch roof bearing tar and gravel, which many roof inspectors decline to comment on because they are notoriously difficult to read. Kelly brought me up on the roof, showed me everything he saw, and offered concrete advice about how to address the problems and also to extend the life of the roof. He emailed me the next day with a clear concise report laying out his observations and advice, as well as names of maintenance products and where to get them. He was indeed affordable, not to mention personable and experienced. I would certainly enlist him for future inspections, and to do any major roof work. But with his good advice, that may not be necessary for many years! read more

We called multiple roofers to inspect our roof, and suggest whether or not we had any years of life left on our roof. Kelly drove to Belmont, all the way from Martinez to tell us our roof had years left to it. He took my husband on the roof with him, and pointed out minor patch work that needed to be completed. Kelly even suggested that my husband could do the minor work himself, or get someone to fix it for a low price. Kelly left our home, leaving my husband with some tools to assist with our patching of roof- free of charge. There's no doubt that we will call Kelly back in a few years, when it comes time to redo our roof. Thank you Kelly, for your honesty and work ethics! read more

We are SO grateful to Kelly. We called multiple roofers right after a hard day of rain and discovered a wet spot on our ceiling. Some folks either didn't call us back or told us they couldn't come out at all. Kelly came within an hour after calling and he explained everything he was doing, accompanied by photos taken. We had cracked roof tiles that enabled water to snake in. Kelly fixed everything and was very friendly and easygoing. Even my dog who is usually wary of strangers walked right up to him and demanded to be pet. Kelly saved the day. It rained hard the night after the roof was fixed and we have seen no additional wet spots. Thank you again!! read more

I did a tear off & new roof through Affordable Roofing with Kelly. I was happy with the work done & Kelly was very accommodating with my time frames. I got several quotes & Kelly beat all their prices by far living up to his buissness name. My agent referred him having used him on on jobs & would use him on his own home. Hope this helped. read more

Kelly and his team did a great job on my new roof! I would highly recommend them. We went from a tar and gravel roof to a comp. He was very knowledgable and honest. He was also extremely fair with his prices! He finished the job super fast and was very efficient. We are extremely pleased with our new roof! read more

Great service at a fair price. Kelly gave us a fair price and though there were other quotes for less, I felt more confident talking with Kelly than the other guys. He was knowledgeable and told us exactly what was going on with the roof. During the install, the crew accidentally let the cable line drape down too far and a large truck drove by and snapped the cable. It cost $50 bucks to have it repaired. I forgot the deduct that on final payment like Kelly told me to do. But when I called Kelly to tell him how much it was and that I forgot, he quickly said no problem and he will send a check. I value integrity as much as workmanship and I think this company has both. read more

Don't even bother, they'll try to sell you a new roof without even coming to the house. When they realize that's not what you're looking for, they'll be "too busy" to help you. read more

I was a very demanding customer and had lots of questions about a new roof. I selected extra features and more expensive shingles and Kelly was extremely helpful and cooperative. I would definitely recommend Affordable Roofing Systems. read more

Kelly and his team were fabulous. My house not only looks fabulous but the work was completed in a timely fashion, very clean and meticulous. It took years off my house. I would highly recommend this contractor!! read more

Kelly and his crew did an outstanding job and provided quick and thorough service. After I requested quotes from 5 companies, Affordable Roofing came in at the middle, but $3,000 less than another highly recommended company, for the same upgraded materials and services (- but excluding a very expensive and complicated attic ventilation system that the other roofer INSISTED THAT I NEEDED!) Since I told Kelly I needed a fairly quick installation to accommodate a solar system install in early September, he was able to schedule the roofing job over the weekend. That is excellent customer service! The whole process from quotes to permits, to removal of the old roof, delivery of materials and installing the new shingles and gutters came off like clockwork. His excellent and professional foreman, Hermano was also great to work with! They took care not to damage anything on the property and did a complete cleanup. Highly recommend! read more
