Our roof was leaking from the biggest storm in 30yrs back in 2022 Dec - early 2023, and we noticed that the top of our fireplace was wet to touch from inside. So I called around at least 5 different roofing companies to have them check out the leak. Surprisingly, everyone had a different diagnosis and recommended different things to do, ranging from fixing the chimney to replacing the entire roof. When I met with Ofier, his professionalism and customer-first attitude immediately put me at ease. After learning more than I need about roofing, we decided to replace the entire roof instead of just fixing what potentially could be the cause of the leak. I got 5 quotes and Paragon was not the cheapest, but because of the trust that Ofier has built with me, I was comfortable moving forward with Paragon. Their crew was professional , and cleaned up at the end of each work day. We did run into some hiccups, but Ofier was very responsive and solved those issues for us. It took several messages back and forth to get a simple response. Their "Answer" was it will cost $2,500 to remove and replace a leaking flashing. I suggested inspecting to see if the flashing needed to be removed and replaced. From a careful inspection with photos the flashing was only leaking in the last 18" . After more back and forth - they had to contact the owner of Paragon Roofing. The "best deal" they could offer as coome and inspect for $750. Other roofers responded to the same request with photos quickly and offered to come and do free inspections. I can not recommend Paragon Roofing! YMMV. read more

Did a whole roof replacement with Paragon back in December. Positive aspects: 1) the team did the work fairly quickly, I think only took 3 days to finish the job; 2) (I think) they did a good job with the roof, I haven't seen any issues yet, I hope it stays this way as it's fairly early; 3) the crew did a reasonably good job in cleaning up the debris at the end of every day during the job, which is certainly appreciated; 4) pricing is competitive, as the price they quotes is on the lower end of the companies that I quoted with But there are also a couple of negatives: 1) the communication from the sales left lots to be desired. During the project the workers identified some issue with my skylight (I later talked to the foremen and he described the issue to me), the sales called me but didn't really explain what's the issue; 2) in the contract it says will use Ridge Vents to enhance ventilation. But after the project is completed, when I look at the roof, I realize there is no Ridge Vents. Called the sales and he explain to me since the ridge is blocked by 2*4s, so they used the old type of vents instead. And then my question come, if the Ridge Vents "enhance the ventilation" and is written in the contract, and I ended up having an inferior vents, then why did the price stay the same? Also, where is the communication? I looked at the roof and fly my own drone after the work is done to figure this out, so, not ideal. read more

The team was very efficient, professional and accurate. Every day before going home they cleaned the balcony, front steps and pavement. Once they removed garbage from my backyard, they cleaned it, too and moved the basketball hoop back in its place. I'm very happy with their work and would recommend their services. Paragon installed a new shingle roof on my home in Hudson in one day. A team of six worked a 12 hour day with about half hour lunch break. Moved and covered anything that could get damaged in my yard. When they were done, I went out to clean up, but, nothing left for me to do! I've never seen a harder working group in my life. Roof just got finaled by our permitting authority. Beyond happy with the outcome. We live in the SF bay area that is not known for harsh climate but our local microclimate have us seeing wind up to 60-70mph since we live on the top of a mountain. The previous concrete tile roof was in fact sheared off with such wind. We only wanted a product that would give us the Spanish tile look, and with a product that is both lighter, sturdier, and even somewhat more affordable than the tile quotes I've gotten it was a no brainer so we went for Decra metal roof. One of the amazing adding bonus is that since Decra is so much lighter, it's much easier on the frame of our building and we no longer hear loud sounds with wind. I want to plug paragon roofing and renovations who did this project. Their crew was fantastic and really paid attention to details. I am a big DIY guy myself but know my limitations. I read through all the Decra installation manual and manufacturer guideline, and crews from Paragon stuck to the guideline perfectly. They did a tremendous job and paid a lot of attention to details. I want to especially commend Nelson who is my contact with this company. I would say he is very honest and trustworthy. I am one of the first customer for this company as they recently changed their name through a merger. It's usually a red flag but I got a good feeling about them through Nelson and my gut feeling paid off. Out of all the roofers I interviewed (there were five), he was the most meticulous, and examined my roof in detail prior to giving us a quote. When materials cost became an issue, he was able to work with us and find something that works better for our budget. He is very communicative and responsive. Due to my work schedule I could not easily communicate during the usual 9-5 but he was able to work with me on that. The project went without a hitch and passed inspection on the first go. I would say that I am more technical than the average home owner and I screened through every inch of the roof with my own drone, all good work. They were able to fix small issues I had prior to inspection too. Overall it was fantastic! Stone coated metal tile is a very technical thing, some said it's the most technically challenging and labor intensive roof and I believe it. Nelson and his crew just did such a good job! read more

I usually don't make recommendations, but I thought I would give a recommendation for Paragon Roofing. I contacted 8 companies for quotes, and I thought that Paragon was one of the better companies out there that people should consider. After dealing with a couple of contractors who tried to use high pressure sales tactics, were late for our meeting, gave low ball verbal quotes (never putting their quotes in writing), or had negative reviews or active complaints with the Better Business Bureau it was nice to meet Nelson. Nelson came by, discussed my project, went on my roof (something one or two other guys didn't do and still gave me a quote) and promptly got back to me with a fair and reasonable quote. Paragon is a horrible company. Stay far away from them. The roof took about 3 days to install they broke a skylight did not inform us until we called them about the gutter guy popping in on a Sunday evening needing to borrow measuring tape and unsure how to install the gutters. The skylights were leaking and they did not beleive us. They did have someone come out on a Sat. to look at it and they were not properly screwed in they were missing screws. They inproperly installed the gutters, downspouts, and gutter gaurds. The downspouts went against gravity, the brackets were sharp and posed a hazard. They needed to replace the gutters, gutter gaurds and downspouts due to the damage they caused. They continued to damage the gutters and refused to replace them the 3rd time. They dismissed my concerns and belittled me until I had to give them the instructions on how to properly install the gutters, downspouts and gutter gaurds. They did a horrible job. A month later I get a text form Nelson with a link on "How to build a better chest" workout video. It was completely unprofessional and disgusting. They are a horrible company. They pay no attention to detail and they lie at every turn. read more

Last winter's storm blew some shingles off my roof. I decided it was time to replace the roof after 27 years. Having heard many stories about unscrupulous roofers, I spent 10 months researching and reading up on blogs, reviews and company websites. I interviewed quite a few roofing companies. They are all reputable and established companies with good reviews. Nelson convinced me to choose Paragon for the job. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Paragon Roofing for their consistent communication, competitive pricing, high quality, and clear follow-up. We unfortunately had to have 2 complete roofs redone at the same time - my parents' and mine (new roofs). We wanted the same company for both but only if they could deliver. Paragon went above and beyond! We had extensive communication before, during and after each roof, which were done within a few months of each other. We were provided with several options and it never felt like a hard sell. We had 4-5 other roofing companies for estimates so we had comparisons and learned over time what to ask for. Nelson was amazing throughout! They matched the other bids, but with higher quality materials. We discussed some potential changes that might happen after the roofs were torn off - and, of course, there were changes! However, there were no surprises because of the communication. One roof came under the original budget and the other over (due to larger unforeseen issues). When the issue came up, Nelson walked about and clearly explained what was happening and the best way to fix it. They were also done on time once the work started. They also came back afterwards to fix some cosmetic things on the skylight afterwards. We were not originally planning on a skylight, but once we had to do the whole roof, we got estimates and were able to fit it in. We had photos throughout the entire process - before, during and after. They also sent in cleaners due to the mess from the ceiling. They will not leave until they make sure you are satisfied. I also had to contact Nelson months after the work had already been done to get receipts, extra photos, etc. for accounting and insurance purposes. He knows who I am and I felt like I was still a current and valued customer, not like they did the work and then left us. read more

Set up an appointment for a home visit a week ahead, but one hour before the appointment, the project manager Ophir calls and says we can do this over the phone. After asking me a bunch of questions, some of which I couldn't answer, he said they have a flat rate of $2700 per skylight install (excluding the skylight!). if it's a fixed price, why set up an appointment??
