Reason for selecting Felix's painting: I got couple walls to paint in my house and I got quotes…read morefrom multiple contractors. I selected Felix because of the details of the quote that includes the prep work, paint used, number of coats applied and the warranty. They are also licensed and insured. That saves a lot of back and forth questions and answers between me and the contractor. Prep work & On time: Once I paid the deposit, the job was scheduled within 2 weeks (during Christmas/New Year season). The painters were polite and arrived on time. They are thorough with the prep work. The job was done in a bit over two days. Follow up: After the paint was done and final payment made, we noticed there were some touch up work needed. They provided update every day on when the painter could come and they came on time within couple days. Whereas I do have experience with other contractors when I could not find them for couple months to finish last 5% of the job. Headache free experience (project completed through text): They are impressive, reliable, the whole job was completed without a single phone call (only through text and online payment). Highly recommended if you want headache free painting experience.

The colors are fresh and I love how they patched cracks and caulked things in. I give them 3 stars for a few reasons. The first being the mess. Our house was EXTREMELY dusty with gypsum when we arrived home at the end of the project, even in the insides of closets that hadn't even been painted. It took us days to wash and wipe everything down, and we were sneezing and itching the whole time and had to wear masks. I was told that everything would be cleaned with Simple Green, so it was very disconcerting that it clearly wasn't. Even now, weeks later, you can bump a baseboard and white dust will fall off/out. We have green overspray on our light colored stamped concrete walkway and the exterior siding of the house around it, texture on the tops of ceiling fans and light switches, and paint drips on our interior wooden floors, which had been covered. It seems like while we were home they were very meticulous, but while we were gone they felt free to be sloppy and disregard our property and belongings. Second, they removed a ceiling fan at my request, which I appreciated, but we came home to it broken, with paint all over it, and found it sitting in the pouring rain on the porch. Needless to say, we had to purchase a new ceiling fan and are very bummed that the old one is no longer usable. Third, I was not pleased that my request for a change order was ignored. The estimator, Rodger, was great. Friendly, accommodating and promised me the world. Once I signed the contract, though, I never heard from him again. I had sent him a change order in writing two days after I signed and never heard back. I figured he maybe would tell the crew what I wanted. I felt like I had to hound the project manager about things that weren't done "correctly" because nobody ever acknowledged the change order. I even told him what I wanted more than once, and offered to pay extra to ensure they got done. But in the end I just gave up on getting everything I wanted.

Bayview Painting is both of these, and more. Peter did a bid for our exterior repaint. We got three bids and he was the middle bid. I never go with the cheapest and never go with the most expensive. The painting started on schedule. The workers took care not to damage the landscaping. We had some dry rot that they repaired as they went. The result was perfect. The job was completed on time and on budget. Big thank you to Peter and his team. Note - Peter and his team are quite busy and book out quite far. I recommend scheduling him well in advance. We were in the middle of a full renovation of our home when we painted the interior, and Leo's crew was very accommodating when it came to working around other contractors. Once the project was wrapped up, Leo did a detailed walk through to note any imperfections he saw and his crew came back to do touch ups so that the end result was exactly what we wanted. A few weeks later, they got started on the exterior of our home. Similar to the interior project, they were very meticulous when it came to the prep work (pressure washing, taping off, etc.) and finished the project quickly. The crew was very helpful in giving advice on various decisions, such as painting the trim, eaves, fascia, etc. They also came back out to do touch ups to make sure everything was perfect.
