OSJ Electric -- Lafayette- installed our EV charging connection and did extensive work on our electrical panels to accommodate a complicated existing solar system. This was not a simple installation. Our electrical system already had solar, HVAC and multiple electrical loads, and we also wanted to preserve capacity and flexibility for future battery storage. They carefully evaluated the entire system and came up with an excellent solution rather than simply installing the charger. The work was professional, neat and very well thought out. We had a huge project. My Insurance Company said it was our 1969 Aluminum wiring, or them. So, we had a choice to have it inspected, or replaced. After researching, we decided on replacement. There are 3 of us, plus a big dog, living 24/7 in a 2-story packed house. Plus very expensive wallpaper! Enter Ossamu and his team. For over a month we lived with Adam and Wilfredo. Not only were they very respectful of our personal space, they also took great care not to touch my wallpaper. It was sharing intimate space, and even though I was glad it was over, almost sad to see them go. My dog fell in love with Adam. I started calling them "our boys". After soliciting bids from three contractors, we hired OSJ to upgrade our main panel from 100 to 200 amps, and replace our subpanel in the garage while they were at it. Ossamu is a magician. He took a technically difficult EV charger install project at our home (part of a larger garage remodel) and made it seem easy. He had to trench our front yard to hook up the electrical on the other side of the house. We had some difficulties with the installed Tesla Universal charger and he was always available to help troubleshoot. We then swapped that out with a Chargepoint and the first one had a WiFi problem so he came back to install one that works very well. Again, he was always able to help me troubleshoot via text or in person. Net net - there are always issues that come up in home projects and Ossamu's resilience, patience, professionalism and affable nature constantly took the stress away. This guy is a total pro. I had asked Ossamu to give me estimate for changing two different circuit breakers boxes for two of my rentals. Both houses are over 55 years old. Ossamu did some electrical troubleshooting for me in one of the two places. Ossamu showed up on time and he finished both projects ahead of schedule. His work attitude is great, he got lots of tools just pulling an old circuit breaker and patch up some small drywalls. Many people think it's easy but it's not that simple to pull it from an old house w tenants living inside. He got both projects done on time and he came back the next day to re-labeled all circuit breakers. I highly recommend him for any electrical troubleshooting or replacement. Thank you Ossamu! We had a issue with our electricity in the kitchen, causing our stove not to work. We originally thought that our stove was broken and spent an unfortunate sum of $$ for a Samsung technician to tell us it was not the stove, it was our outlet. We reached out to several electricians on Yelp but Ossamu was the only one that followed through despite a busy schedule. He came after 5p on his way home from another job and thank goodness because what he found was that the previous house owners had installed wires that were incompatible with our stove and the wires in the wall had in fact melted and smelled of smoke!! He was able to make some repairs that evening so that our stove was operable and made some suggestions for a longterm fix. We had a great experience with OSJ Electric working on our garage remodeling project. Ossamu is a very detail oriented person, he thinks out all the possible options and comes up with the final solution. We got our electric panel upgraded, adding another panel and new wiring for adding more capacity, cleared all the walls of conduits and external wiring, running everything inside, installed recess lights, multiple new outlets, new focus lights on the outside moved solar panel to clear wall space and installed Tesla EV charger. We had a long run from our main breaker panel on the side of the house up to the house attic, across to the garage attic, across the garage, and then down the garage wall, and the install was perfect with no exposed conduit and the charger in the perfect spot.
