Quick call back. Diligent effort to hook up with me through mutual busy schedules. I wanted 4 kitchen lights replaced and new lighting in my garage. I attempted the change in the kitchen lighting myself and it became obvious to me that I needed a professional. Ric and I did a video conference call to look over the job and establish pricing. He was also clear in explaining his quote to me so that I could understand to make changes to get what I wanted. He did a great job, on schedule, on scope, and on budget. I never could have done it myself. This business is highly recommended. read more

Grover Electric - Bangin' new garage workbench light - Electricians Near Me

Rick is great, very knowledgable and fair. Loves to solve a problem, even as simple as hanging some outdoor lights and ensuring the wiring is up to par. read more

Outstanding Service from Grover Electric! I had an incredible experience with Grover Electric from start to finish. Rick was super helpful -- he really took the time to understand my needs and made the whole process easy and stress-free. When Pepe came out to do the work, he not only executed the plan perfectly but also suggested a few smart improvements that made the final result even better. They installed four exterior lights flawlessly. The craftsmanship is so clean it looks like the lights were built into the home from day one. Beyond the top-tier quality, both Rick and Pepe were extremely personable and friendly -- just great people to work with. We even had some genuinely enjoyable conversation along the way. If you're looking for electricians who combine skill, professionalism, and great customer service, Grover Electric is the team you want. Highly recommended! read more

Our home had some outlets that stopped working. My husband had reset the gfci and main circuit breaker but that did not solve the problem. Called grove electric and Rick came home. Looks like my husband had missed one gfci outlet that Rick found right away and fixed. Rick did not charge any $$ for this. Appreciate his service and honesty. Thanks Rick! read more

Rick is a great guy. Had the problem diagnosed even before he arrived. I'm always interested in troubleshooting and he walked me through what happened while he was repairing. Highly recommend read more

We have used Grover Electric several times over the years at multiple properties and Pepe has always gone above and beyond for us. Highly recommend Grover Electric! read more

Ric was fantastic from start to finish--professional, efficient, and incredibly knowledgeable. In an hour, he fixed a light fixture, three fire alarms, a doorbell, and an outdoor light. He explained everything clearly, worked quickly but with care, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Beyond his skills, he had a great personality--friendly, respectful, and easy to talk to. I'll definitely be reaching out to him again for any future electrical work, and I'll be passing his number along to friends and family as well. Highly recommend! read more

There's no one, I will trust more to work on the electrical in my house than Ric. He just seems like such a stand-up guy and it's scary how good he still looks at his age! Clearly, he's doing something right and not getting himself electrocuted too much. read more

I called Grover Electric this morning and Ric was able to come out this afternoon and diagnose the problem with one of my breakers tripping. It turned out that one of my old power strips was bad and that caused the breaker not being able to reset. It took Ric less than an half an hour to get everything working again. I would highly recommend Grover Electric for any problem. read more

Great work!!! This summer, we needed to install a new dining room light, replace a bathroom fan, and replace some wall outlets. We gave Ric a call, he was easy to talk to, and he was quick to provide an estimate and schedule us in. When Ric came out to the house, he was polite and ready to get to work. He was so focused while working it was like he wasn't even there. And, the way Ric made everything he did look smooth and easy was a testament to his years of experience. He also went above and beyond when he made a trip to the hardware store for us to pick up a better and more compatible model fan than we originally had. After completing the installations, Ric made sure to clean up any debris and the old fixtures. The new fixtures are looking and working great. As an added bonus, we had,a fun conversation with Ric after the work was done, too. So, for an easy-going experience with professional results, go with Grover Electric. read more

Ric and his team are wonderful top notch people to work with. Pleasant careful and attentive. I appreciate the quick response and flexible timing. The work was done quickly and left clean and working properly as requested. Will call Grover for all my electrical needs. read more

Pepe was our electrician and he did a great job on a very vague request. He didn't overcharge us but made a few small improvements for not a lot extra on top of the service call minimum amount. Rick was great to deal with too. read more

This review is overdue. Thanks for your help Ric. We had Ric come out to help us with a few projects requiring expertise only an electrician could complete correctly and efficiently. Ric is knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, and a friendly person. He is able to assess the problem and fix it. We appreciate you coming out to us to help us. read more

We had a circuit trip over the weekend and while we thought we had reset the breaker right, and tried multiple others, nothing seemed to restore power to that section of the home. We called in Ric and he came a few days later. When he arrived he did a quick assessment and much to my embarrassment properly reset the tripped breaker and everything was back to normal. Because it was so fast and easy and he was luckily already in the neighborhood he refused to charge us. He didn't have to. I would have gladly paid him for his time. Ric is a really understanding and upstanding guy. He also gave us tips on how to avoid the issue in the future, including both what we can do ourselves and what it would take to upgrade or add a circuit. I'm definitely calling him next time we need any kind of electrician help. read more

The bedrooms in my house don't have recessed lighting so I started researching on Yelp. I found Grover Electric and chose them based on the reviews, verified license, and the fact that they're in Danville. When I started requesting for quotes, Ric Grover was the only vendor who offered to FaceTime which was an amazing first touch to get to know me and my vision for the bedroom lighting. After a few text messages, we had an appointment scheduled for the following week. On the day of the install; Pepe, who was the foreman on the job came by to get started. Pepe is super friendly, entertaining, and really knows what he's talking about. Not only was he able to do the job quickly, but he made everything look so perfect in terms of light placement and temperature. The job took less than 8 hours to complete for 12 lights across 3 rooms. On top of a great job, Pepe offered some electrical advice and even helped me with a few small things around the house that's beyond my electrical expertise. Overall, I had a great experience with Ric and Pepe and will probably never call another electrician as long as these two are around. If you're in the San Ramon/Tri Valley area, I would highly recommend them. read more

Called for residential electric repair. Rick returned my call on the same day and explained what may be happening and how I could repair it myself. Polite, respectful and helpful. I recommend you call him! read more

I found Grover Electric through Yelp, searching for home EV charger install. Pressed the button to get a quote. Ric was quick to respond via the Yelp messaging. Provided a number to text or call to schedule a video call for the quote. Doing a video call is ingenious so they don't have to come out twice. Through the video call, Ric was very quick to take a look at our electrical panel area and identified where our new outlet would go. (Just below our electrical panel.) Pretty quickly gave us a price after basically one look through the phone camera as to where it was going to be installed. When we decided to set up an installation appointment, just texted the same number with a couple of days that worked for us. Got a response for a time range on one of the days, ended up working for us. Day-of we received a text message of a 35 min ETA, that was within the time range provided. Unfortunately did not get the installer's name, but he was friendly and quick. He didn't have a part so after he started the work he let me know to close my garage and that he was off to Home Depot to get some parts. Came back and was done within another 30-45 min. The panel plate was put back in place, left the area very clean after knocking the small part of the wall for the install. Highly recommend for easy appointment scheduling, and quick & friendly service. read more

Grover Electric - 14-50 install - Electricians Near Me

So like any "honest" licensed C7 low voltage contractor, I hate dealing with line voltage & most electrical projects. Wood working, plumbing, minor construction/landscaping & painting, no problem. All other projects that make me deal with 110/220V...I'll pass. So had the last element of a Pergola remodel from late last year that needed addressing, a ceiling fan. While I totally could have run an extension cord to an outlet 25' away & called it a day, sanity prevailed & we hired Ric & Grover Electric. BEST DECISION EVER! Ric is a true professional, gave a fair price, suggested a few options I didn't even think of & finished ahead of schedule, cleaned up & was a totally respectable, honest & all around good dude. Would highly recommend! read more

Ric is the absolute best - he's reliable, professional, has great pricing and a good sense of humor. He helped us switch out a few switches, swap out ceiling fans and also installed a new outlet and set of island pendants. We couldn't be happier. Thank you again Ric! read more

The power in my Master bedroom and bath was inconsistent and fluctuated when to the point where the ceiling fan light would flash on and off even when turned off. The power would flicker off and turn on or to the point where the power would shut off my CPAP machine and would wake me up. In looking at Grover Electric's reviews I was a review from a gentleman who had the same problems I did. Grover electric suggested before calling out an electrician to have PG&E to come out to check their electrical connection to make sure the problem wasn't on PG&E's side of the drop. PG&E did come out and there was no problem on their side of the power drop. I made an appointment with Grover Electric to trouble shoot my electrical problem. Pepe came out and immediately found the problem in the power panel. Pepe also did checking to insure the problem was with the power panel. In fact, Pepe could hear the problem circuit sizzle. Pepe was quick to replace the bad circuit witch solved the power delivery problem. Given the age of my house and the age of the power panel Pepe suggested to make another appointment for a power panel tune up where all the old circuits are replaced with new ones. I will make a power panel tune up with Pepe. Pepe also replaced a bad porch light switch for me on the same visit. I'm sure Rick is an electrician, but for my next appointment for the power panel tune up I'm requesting Pepe. Pepe is GREAT!!! read more

Ric s was quick to respond to my test messages about selecting a site for EV charger installation. I felt comfortable with the quality of his work and pricing. This is the third time I've used Grocer Electric in the last 3 years or so and results have always been excellent. read more

Grover Electric was one of four electricians we contacted for an estimate on the cost to increase the amps in our kitchen. They were the only ones to suggest an alternative, thereby saving us a lot of time and money. You don't often find people/business' that are forthright and honest: their main concern being what is best for the customer in a particular situation. I can't tell you how much we appreciate it. For sure, going forward, they will be the electrician we use for any electrical issues. read more

I needed a level 2 EV charger installed, and Grover Electric caught my eye on Yelp due to the numerous highly rated reviews. Ric's Facetime consult was quick and convenient, and the quote given was quite fair to other quotes I had received. For the installation, Pepe was wonderful. We ran into some unforeseen obstacles for the wiring due to the position of the panel and charger, but Pepe was able to structure a neat workaround and got the job done in a very timely manner! The entire experience from beginning to end was of the highest standard of professionalism and customer service. I would strongly recommend these gentlemen to others and will certainly give them more business for future electrical issues. read more

The project was getting a new outlet in the garage for a new electrical heat pump water heater. I enjoyed the conversation with both Ric and technician Pepe. Ric was easy to talk to, with a short video of the breaker room & water heater location in garage, he was quickly able to get me a reasonable quote, available date, and technician name. I love the easy text messages so I could review it briefly anytime I want. Pepe arrived and started working on it. He explained the process from selecting the switch, wire, connection, location. Professionally installed and cleaned up the debris when it was done. Everything was so smooth and met my expectations of efficiency and quality work. I Highly Recommend their service if you want excellent customer service and work! read more

10 stars times 10 for Rick!!!! Just the most awesome individual and electrician ever. We had just moved into our new place and had a huge list of items ranging from small to very complex and Rick took care of everything and went way beyond. He took time to explain us every step of the process. Walked us through items we can do on our own and things he can take care of. Guided us on what materials we can get on our own to save money and showed us specific items online, in Costco and other retailers. Just so happy with Rick. Definitely recommend him to anyone out there read more

After a CFL burnt out in our bathroom, I wanted to convert it to LED. Ric provided me with an example of what to get to ensure I had the correct recessed lighting trim kit before Pepe arrived. Pepe is very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He explained what he was doing and answered my questions during the installation. He showed me how to adjust the color temperatures on the trim kit if I want to adjust it later on. After he was done, he cleaned up the debris. A very professional and smooth process from start to finish. I would highly recommend Grover Electric and Pepe in particular. read more

What a wonderful experience! I manage a music school in Danville and was experiencing a localized power outage. After briefly describing it to him, he offered to hop on a video call and help me solve it on the spot! We had an issue at our home where a number of outlets stopped working after plugging in an appliance. I called Grover Electric and got an immediate call back. After explaining the issue, they walked me through the potential solution, and within 15 minutes I had an appointment scheduled for their first available time slot. They provided an estimate over the phone that I was very comfortable with. Pepe showed up at our house on time and was very friendly. We have 3 dogs and a newborn, and he was comfortable with the dogs and was very kind and aware to not disturb our child. He started working immediately and diagnosed a number of issues at the house that we did not anticipate. He worked diligently and efficiently to correct the issues we had, and even provided some advice on what we can improve at the house without pushing us into spending more money. He was extremely fair in the final price he gave us, which was even better than the quote I received! I highly recommend Grover Electric, and especially Pepe for anything you might need. I will be hiring them any time I have electrical issues or questions. read more

I was lucky to work with Ric on a fairly involved project. I am installing a sauna in my backyard, which required 240 volts to be run out from the main panel, trenched, and wired up to the heater in the sauna. In addition, there was fairly involved wiring of the structure (lighting, fans, control switches). It's safe to say that the project ended up being a little more involved than either of us expected, but Ric was committed to preserving his initial price quote. He produced excellent work, and he was a collaborative partner as we had to problem-solve several times along the way. Very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Ric. read more

Wow, I am so impressed and happy with Ric and his amazing service. Our outlets weren't working and he hopped on a FaceTime call with me and saw the issue right away (all over video, a pro!!!)
