Upon review of all the estimates, not the lowest, nor the highest, they were chosen due to their history in the community, reviews, and BBB standing. In addition, they could meet the assigned deadline. We were placed on the schedule for February 10th. My prayers were there would be no rain until February 14th or 15th. We almost made it, however the rain came pouring down on the 10th and 11th. Thursday, February 12th dawned full of sunshine and the tear out commenced. Additional work was uncovered which unfortunately, yet understandably increased the price. Work continued, the city inspector, approved, and the tiles were installed. As the weekend approached so did an impending storm. The team returned Saturday, February 14th which meant they were with us and not their Valentines. Thank you!! The roof was completed before the storm and we've had several days of rain to test it out. No leaks!!! Johnathon, Ray, Omar, and the double crew were friendly, thorough, and left the job site clean each day. Excellent job and the roof looks amazing. Highly recommend Roofmasters.

Since then the system has been working fine. I suggested some changes to their customer service model as all of these issues could have been easily avoided. I appreciated his call and rapid response.

Got Watts installed two phases of solar panels on my roof, 67 panels in total. The job was massive,…read morethe price was fair, and the follow up service was excellent. There were hardware glitches after installation, but the Got Watts team reliably spotted them - without me realizing there was even an issue - and sent teams out to ensure my equipment worked as promised. Years later I noticed some leaks through my roof where some phase 2 panels were installed. I notified Got Watts and they sent large crews to my home to rectify the issue over several days. This was no small fix. They probably spent vastly more to rectify the leaks than they did to install the panels to begin with. No one likes to have problems with an install. But, it means a lot for a contractor to honor their commitment and spend vast sums to honor their warranty, and their word, to their customer. I've had "good companies" make promises they wouldn't honor once the initial check cleared. Got Watts was true to their word and treated me in a dignified manner that is rare these days. Jeff reached out and helped me troubleshoot the problem first before we decided to have them come out. David the technician ended up coming out and found a really serious issue that could have been disastrous had it not been fixed. The communication and quality of the service overall are what really stood out. Between Marlene keeping me informed about the schedule and following up the day after to make sure things were operational to David's work to fix the issue and his communication afterwards and Jeff staying in touch the whole time, it was a great experience. I got answers from Darlene that did not make sense. Sometimes her computer was down other times her phone was down. Sometimes she would call to give me a message only to realize that she had called the wrong customer. Did not enjoy working with her. Finally, Kara engaged and we got the Permission to Operate about two months after the install. Supposedly Jeff (the Business Owner) is no longer with the company and has gone back East, so not sure who is leading their future efforts. For future customers: hang on to a portion of the payment till the Permission to Operate is received not just the installation.

We first called Attic Kings about 4 years ago after heavy rains led to rats getting into our attic…read more They caused a huge mess, and I was especially concerned about the urine, droppings, old insulation, and fiberglass getting into the rest of the house. Moshe came out right away, inspected everything, and gave us a very reasonable quote to seal all of the entry points, clean and sanitize the attic, deodorize the space, remove all of the old insulation, and eventually replace it with new insulation. One of the biggest concerns for me was cleanliness. We had just installed brand new carpet upstairs, and the attic entrance is right there. Moshe covered everything in plastic and actually created a contained tunnel from the attic all the way downstairs and out the door so the old insulation and debris never traveled through the house. That made me feel much more comfortable about having the work done. Moshe and his team were fast, clean, and efficient, but what I appreciated most was how thorough Moshe was. He took the time to explain everything, sent us detailed photos, and never made us feel rushed. Because we have two attic spaces that connect along the roofline, Moshe did not just seal everything and immediately put down new insulation. He left traps in place and came back for several weeks to make sure there were no rats still hiding somewhere or finding another way in. Only after we were all comfortable that the problem was completely resolved did he install the new insulation. I really appreciated that because the last thing I wanted was to spend money on new insulation and have it ruined again. 4 years later, we still have the trap up there and have not had another rat problem. Recently, we had a completely separate issue with yellow jackets that made an opening near the roofline and got inside the roof area. After pest control handled the yellow jackets, I called Moshe just to ask whether the opening needed some kind of special repair. He came out the very next morning, walked the perimeter of both rooflines, found a few small areas that had shifted or opened over the years, sealed the area where the yellow jackets got in, and even went back into the attic to make sure everything was still secure and there was no evidence of rats. There wasn't. What really impressed me is that this was years after the original work, and he still came out as a courtesy to check everything. That says a lot about the kind of person he is and how he runs his business. Another thing I really appreciate is that when you call Attic Kings, you actually get Moshe. You are not dealing with an automated system, a call center, or a different person every time. He is very hands-on, and the people he brings with him have always been professional, respectful and clean. We even scheduled the original work while we were away from the house, and I felt completely comfortable trusting Moshe and his team in our home. His pricing was competitive, the value was excellent, and most importantly, the work has held up for 4 years. It is getting harder to find small businesses where the owner still answers the phone, shows up personally, stands behind the work, and cares about maintaining a relationship with customers long after the job is finished. Moshe is honest, dependable, and has a lot of integrity, and that goes a long way with me. I would absolutely recommend Attic Kings.

A few days after we met and I signed the contract, the team came out to remove old roof debris left over from a recent reroofing, removed our home's original insulation, and installed fresh batt insulation in both the attic and crawlspace. They also added rodent proofing throughout the attic while they were at it. About a month later we heard critter noises, so I texted them and they came out to inspect. He didn't find anything in the traps but reset them to be safe. Sure enough, something took the bait because we heard it go off! Jose came back shortly after and discovered 2 mice (thankfully no rats), found a gap where the roof met the garage and sealed it up. He ran an ozone generator as a precaution for any smells. A couple weeks after that we heard faint sounds again. Jose returned, found one more entry point, sealed it, and since then there's been total silence! I really appreciated how thorough and persistent they were even after the job was technically done. Solid team, fair price, and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend Attic Kings!

My gutters hand't been cleaned in a long time and had developed a couple of trouble spots. I also have guter guards which complicated the job a little more. But no worries, the gutter guards were removed, gutters were unclogged where needed and cleaned, the gutter guards were reinstalled more securely than before. They also cleaned my solar panels which needed just as much attention. Professional, prompt, and a pleasure to work with, Eli and Tyler! I had to reach out to clarify a couple of things and Eli was just as prompt and professional as the first time that we spoke. If you want a job well done for a reasonable cost you can't go wrong with All Clear Windows and Gutters. Oh and yeah, Eli gave me a quote by looking at my house's roof layout online. I am *really* fussy about hiring contractors. So many of them conduct their business sloppily and…read moreunprofessionally I can't believe they stay in business at all. So I do my research and am VERY selective in who I hire when our house needs work. My wife and I hired Andy Fernandes and Adval and they proved to be the real deal. Andy was *always* prompt - every time he or anyone from his company was scheduled to arrive they arrived early. Andy and his crew were communicative, clearly very knowledgeable, and straightforward, which is to say that they told me *and showed me* what was really happening and not what they wanted to promise or what they thought we wanted to hear. And they followed through exactly as they said they would. The quality of their work was outstanding. We had a few kitchen cabinets that had gotten damaged by the 2014 Napa quake and were looking like they were going to fall off the wall. Andy sent over a master carpenter (he spent years building stuff for moneyed people on Martha's Vineyard, who can be quite demanding) who didn't "upsell" us by telling us one of the cabinets needed to be rebuilt (the build cabinet in their own shop), he showed us in detail exactly what the problem was and convinced skeptical me that a new cabinet built from real plywood instead of the particle board of the cabinets the flipper who sold us the house had installed was the way to go. They reused the facing from the old cabinets, so the match was immaculate. Price-wise, yeah, they weren't the cheapest I could have found, but they were most definitely not close to the high end, they were right in the ballpark, and I figure if I demand quality I have to be wiling to pay for it. And we most decidedly got what we paid for. I repeat again that I am VERY picky about contractors, but I unhesitatingly give Adval Construction my highest recommendation. Our job was pretty small, but I would hire them for a big job in a heartbeat. This is the way construction contracting is supposed to work.

We hired Adval construction to repaint our kitchen, bathroom, and hallway linen cabinets. Our old…read morecabinets were dark and gloomy, and we wanted a refreshed look. While we are overall happy with the final product, there were some pros and cons along the way Pros: - Hiring Adval was a pretty seamless process. We requested a quote and within a week, Camila the consultant/designer came for an inspection of our area, measurement, and go over samples for a free quote - Since my husband and I didn't want to be around paint fumes, it took us a few months to schedule the project in tandem with a trip out of town. Adval respected that and didn't push; they simply had us let Debbie know when we were ready - While we were out of town, the painters Ana and Jeff were very respectful of our place. We had cameras setup for security, and they always cleaned up after themselves, turned off our lights, and ensured our doors were locked each day they were on site. They even helped bring in our trash bins after trash day! Cons: - Adval wasn't the most affordable in comparison to other quotes we received. However, we chose them anyway because their process and communication seemed the most thorough (in the beginning) - Since we had the work done while we were out of town, scheduling with the GC Pedro for repairs and touchups was a bit of a struggle as they were already busy with other projects - It was not made clear how EASILY new paint on the cabinets could get scratched and damaged. We had pre-existing rollout drawers in our bottom cabinets and they scratched the doors so quickly. In addition, some areas (drawer/cabinet edges and corners) have already chipped. We wish Camila elucidated this information to us when we were debating painting vs refacing and that Ana/Jeff/Pedro gave us care instructions for the new paint when they initially finished the project - There were a few doors that were clearly damaged prior to painting (corners were broken off/chipped but then the door was still painted over); Pedro ended up picking up these doors and they repaired them at their warhouse - It took about 2 months from the time we returned from our trip/initial paint completion to the final completion of the project (between scheduling, Pedro taking the damaged doors back to the warehouse to have repainted/repaired, and Ana/Jeff returning for reinstallation and final touch ups; the final reinstall was rescheduled on their end 3 times which was slightly annoying) - We changed our mind after initial completion from financing to paying the remaining balance in full. However, something must not have been communicated because the Synchrony account was activated and we didn't know until they charged us a late fee due to missing the first payment. We were able to get the late fee waived and ended up just paying off the balance through Synchrony. Again, annoying. Overall, even with the roller coaster of our simple project, the entire team at Adval was always respectful. They were quick to respond to my texts/calls and showed professionalism in their work. I appreciated that they were responsive and accountable. We are just disappointed in how fragile the final product is and we weren't properly informed.

We have contracted and completed three (3) projects with Ambrose Solar, Vacaville CA. The projects were: 1. Installation of 26 panel solar system (2019) 2. Installation of 3 Tesla batteries, solar backup (Contracted in 2020 and installed 2021) 3. Self-Generated Incentive Program, SGIP (2019-2021) I am providing feedback on all the projects and will start with the last one first. SGIP: Audrey Coppock, Ambrose Solar's Utility Manager, handled our application for the SGIP. She did an excellent job from start to finish! She prepared our application, walked us through the application process, submitted the documentation (all electronically), kept us updated on the progress and succeeded in getting us a rebate on the battery installation. Audrey's work was professional, efficient, thorough and she always had a positive attitude. She communicated well throughout the entire project. Aubrey managed this project with little effort on our part. We are incredibly pleased with the results. Thank you, Aubrey! Tesla Batteries: Paul Barber, Solar Specialist, met with me on both the battery (2020) and solar (2019) contracts. He did an excellent job explaining the cost, reliability, payout, design features, installation process, rebate options and financing options for each project. He brought samples of solar panels so I could get a good understanding of what I was purchasing. Paul was thorough, patient and professional. Thank you Paul for your hard work to get me to energy independence. Tesla manufacturing fell behind in 2020 due to Covid. Despite the delays with Tesla deliveries, Ambrose representatives were openly communicating delivery dates and any schedule changes. Noelle Feldman, Project Coordinator, routinely updated us on battery delivery timing. This was greatly appreciated. In fact, the batteries were delivered pretty much when expected. Ambrose scheduled an installation date as soon as the batteries were received. The installation crew arrived on time, were efficient and installed the batteries, conduit, junction boxes and pulled wiring in one day. Final connections were finished the next day. Crew was very accommodating to my battery location request and I am incredibly pleased with the results. Crew was professional, paid attention to safety along with housekeeping and were respectful. There was one issue with a breaker (square D) which was quickly resolved. Permits with the City of Fairfield were handled expeditiously which was impressive. Much appreciated. Solar: Within approximately one month of signing a contract with Ambrose the solar panels were installed and up and running. This included the design, permitting building the panels, installation, etc. Great job by all. The installation crew completed the install in one day which exceeded my expectations. The crew was professional, efficient and courteous. The crew had to enter the attic to install conduit. They wore booties over their boots and swept the carpet when they were done. Good housekeeping. The design of the system was good. Running the conduit through the attic instead of on the roof improves the esthetics of the installation. This past summer, my wife and I had an inground pool built. We were very happy with the pool, but even though we live in Northern California, the water temperature stayed on the cool side. We became interested in a solar pool heating system that warmed the water by slowly pumping the pool water through panels, heated by the sun. After doing some research, we contacted Ambrose Solar, to get more information and an estimate. Within a couple days, we met with Ian Finger to discuss our options. Ian was very professional and personable, he listened to what we wanted and assessed our pool and roof situation. Without giving any kind of hard sell, he also evaluated our PG&E costs and expectations. With the new pool, our PG&E bill was getting closer and closer $500 per month and we wanted a heated pool without additional cost. Ian was very knowledgeable and told us they could install a system, like we originally requested, but our PG&E bill would actually increase. He explained, for the pool water to be warmed by the sun, the pump had to run more, which used more electricity. We thought we would have to go without a warm pool, then Ian suggested we consider solar "electric" panels. He provided all the data to show we could get a system that would support an electric pool heater and the electricity for our entire home (including AC). The monthly cost of the system was almost 50% of what we were currently paying PG&E. We considered our choices and reviewed the information, then decided to go solar for the house and pool. Ian and the Ambrose Team guided us through the financing process and our panels were delivered within a week of approval. Ambrose Solar took care of all the coordination with PG&E, to get us connected to "The Grid", once the system was installed. When it was all finished and we were authorized to turn the system on, it had only been 5 weeks from our initial meeting with Ian. Lucky for us, everything happened much faster than expected. We were originally given an estimate of 8-10 weeks. Our system is amazing and is delivering the results we expected. We are able to monitor what we produce and how much we are using from any computer, tablet or smart phone. It provides information by the hour, day, week, month, and year. Now our pool is maintained at a comfortable temperature and we produce enough electricity to cover our needs. We highly recommend Ian and the Ambrose Solar Team to anyone considering going solar. They are very professional and helpful through the entire process. Their panels are the highest quality and have the best guarantee available. I chose Ambrose Solar primarily because it is local and their installers are employees rather than sub-contractors. While it is head-quartered in Vacaville and I live in Marin County, that is close enough. In addition, the portion of negative Web reviews seemed lower than with other installers that I considered. I think Ambrose was the right choice. The work was professionally done. The recommended components (33 REC AA Pure panels and 2 Tesla Powerwall 3's) are top quality and are performing well. The only serious problem was the result of the capriciousness of one of several PG&E people who were involved. (The other PG&E people were cooperative and supportive.) Ambrose was effective in dealing with the PG&E problem. A friend was at the same stage as I was last Fall, and his system is still not installed because of PG&E issues. All the Ambrose people that I met or communicated with were friendly, knowledgeable and good communicators. I dug more into the weeds of the planning and installation than I imagine an average solar system customer does. John Landsman made the initial presentation and stuck with me through the several month-long process. He provided lots of information to me and was involved in my communication with other Ambrose people. The installation was finished in late January, and I received the Permission to Operate in late February. Ambrose has continued to monitor the system and provide advice, even though this is an owned system, not a leased system. John has continued to provide usage settings advice, and Ambrose is working on an additional permission from PG&E that I wouldn't have been able to obtain with my limited knowledge. Other Ambrose people with whom I had significant contact and were instrumental in the project are Austin Hohman and Bri Larsen. In addition, I'd like to single out Stephanie Reiser, Ambrose's Utility Coordinator, who worked on the PG&E issue I had. Also, her work secured a Self Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) grant from PG&E in an amount that is 11.75% of my original cost before the tax credit. While it was probably a matter of course for her, I was very pleasantly surprised by the availability of the grant and its size. Overall, I am pleased with the experience and the result. read more

I was referred to Ian of Ambrose Solar by a friend who recently had solar installed by them. (I did tell my friend if it was one of the solar salespeople that hassle me when I'm shopping, I'll refuse to do with them. They aren't. I asked.) My experience was smooth and flawless and broken down as follows: Consultation: After giving Ian some basic information, he met with us to discuss what our "energy goals" were. I'm going to be completely honest here, I don't see myself as a person with "energy goals." However, it did get me to thinking how conservative we've been in using energy, and how nice it would be to crank the AC or heater without mentally calculating the loan I'll need to pay off PG&E. After showing us an array of options presented in layman's terms, we were able to choose a configuration that perfectly suited our needs. The Process: Ian clearly communicated what to expect at each step of the process, and how long each step would take (BTW, sale-to-install was about six weeks in my case). Throughout the process, Ambrose Solar gave me regular updates (but not obnoxious over-communication) of where we were at, what was required of me, and what I can expect to happen next. They were very accommodating to my schedule and met at my convenience. They were punctual for the installation appointments too. Installation: The workers that came to our house were professional and courteous. Before each installation appointment, they explained why they were there and what they were doing. The main takeaway here is that I wasn't inconvenienced at all by any of the installations (I think for one of them the power was off for a few hours). Post-Install: Ambrose doesn't just set it and forget it. I've had several follow-up calls, and a meeting post-install to make sure everything is working fine and that all of my questions and concerns have been addressed. For aesthetics, this didn't factor much into our decision-making, but now that it's up there, I think it looks pretty good. Also, I love the monitoring tools available. I can't say enough great things about Ambrose Solar! From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely outstanding. Ambrose Solar provides a service second to none. While we didn't buy our system from Ambrose, I wish we had, and here's why: Local presence and Outstanding Customer Service! You see, we bought our system from another Sunpower dealer/installer back in 2013, but they've since gone out of business - I only discovered this because our system had a problem requiring dealer support, and when I tried to call, their phone was disconnected. Recent reviews on Yelp tell the story - declining customer service, increasing complaints. It's a sad story and no wonder they're out of business. So I connected through Chat with Sunpower (they warrant their products regardless of dealer/installer) and they advised to locate another dealer/installer via their locator utility on their website. I called the first dealer on the list (510 area code), but since I wasn't already a customer, and they weren't really nearby (I'm in Vacaville), they weren't too eager. A call to the next on the list (916 area code) yielded similar results. And then I spotted Ambrose - a 707 area code! (Why Ambrose wasn't first is a mystery - the locator uses zip code.) As it turns out, Ambrose is right here in Vacaville! A call to Ambrose yielded results - Ian was incredible! It was afternoon when I called, but he was able to get a crew to my home that day to start the troubleshooting (all Sunpower could tell me was 'Inverter down' - in other words, 'not making electricity'!) The crew started troubleshooting our inverter (an older model), tried to connect with Sunpower technical support to help them with the fault codes, but Sunpower wasn't available. However, the Ambrose crew returned the very next day, solved the problem, got the system back up and running, and we're back on line. From top to bottom, this company cares about their customers and their business. Our interactions with their sales representative was informative without any pressure or hassle. Cordt was responsive to my hundreds of questions with detailed and thorough responses any time I asked, which was very helpful during my pricing and efficiency comparisons. His confidence in his product and his company made this an easy choice. Their support staff was available and VERY quick to process paperwork, applications, permits, and whatever other hoops were required for the solar conversion process. Once again, speaking with Pamela and Audrey was always a pleasant and helpful experience. They kept me informed of timelines, processes, and what they needed from me to keep moving forward. Because of them, my install was only 3-4 weeks after signing up. HUGE jump to grab my system before summer time cooling bills. Finally, their install staff was epic. 3 guys handled my rather large 24 panel system flawlessly. Review for Ambrose Solar - Outstanding Follow-Through and Service After a major issue with our SunVault battery system, we were disheartened to learn that SunPower had filed for bankruptcy, leaving customers like us--who purchased systems outright--without manufacturer support or warranty coverage. Our system had stopped functioning, and because it wasn't leased, there was no pathway through SunPower for service, parts, or even basic troubleshooting. It was an incredibly frustrating and uncertain time. But after escalating the issue to Ambrose Solar, I'm very thankful for how their team responded and followed through. Jo, the technician who came out (three times total, including twice after escalation), was absolutely fantastic. He was professional, communicative, and highly skilled. He took the time to run in-depth diagnostics and patiently worked through complex troubleshooting. Thanks to his persistence, our system is now working perfectly. Jo kept us updated at every step and even coordinated around my busy work-from-home schedule. Audrey, who stepped in as the project manager after the escalation, also deserves huge thanks. After months of frustration dealing with the parent company, Sunpower, regarding a solar system that had reached it's useful life (toasted inverter), I called Ambrose Solar for a solution. At first, I met with Paul B., who had planned a neighbor's solar system. He walked my roof, took a bunch of measurements, and explained thoroughly, all the options I had to regain energy from the sun. He didn't bother me with individualized breakdowns on every little detail. Just gave me how much energy I needed at what price so I could basically keep my PGE electric bill to a minimum. About a week later, the process began. The installation crew, Marcelino O (lead), Tony G (Battery/Inverter), and Ruben L and Imanol L (roof panels) arrived, fully equipped, organized and efficient. These guys worked together brilliantly, with no confusion. Their timing for each step was perfect and they completed the entire job in one day, even two days were allotted. No waste, no damage of any kind and they picked up every tidbit of material at the end of the day. I believe this project would not have been as flawless as it was were it not for the efforts of the Project Coordinator, Noelle F. Now, one week after the installation, I had a visit by Michael O. to assist in preparing the site for the City Inspector to sign off on the project. After collecting multiple bids from installers across our area and surrounding regions, we chose Ambrose Solar -- and it was absolutely the right call. Just had a 9.6 system installed with 2 power plus walls. Ambrose is 5 stars from start to finish. As a former solar installer, I have seen good installs and horrible ones. Ambrose team was a well oiled machine and got the job done fast! 2 days for 24 panels, 2 powerwalls, commissioning. Can't beat that. They worked long hours and wanted to get it done; no rush jobs and no skipping on quality. From pre-sale to sales consultant, to permitting, to install, to closeout, the Ambrose team took care of it all. Conduits were installed straight, level, and looked good. Panels were aligned and final assembly was perfect. The team always stopped to answer any of my questions and asked if I had any. They pitched the "Ambrose Promise" and they delivered. No trash during install, no trash after. No mess, the work was organized, no damage to the roof or the wall. They did a trash walk!! Office team was easy to work with and communications was spot on. No guesswork, no surprises. The installers really took pride in their work, there was no drama. Inspection passed the first time and they did not leave until EVERYTHING was working properly. Their checklist is extensive. They even painted the conduits and the wall as company policy! This is my first time writing anything on Yelp. I told myself that I would write something for Ambrose Solar because they were awesome. My husband and I have been talking about getting solar for a couple of years, but haven't really looked into it. I decided to call a few places to get some prices. The first two companies were from Vacaville and the other company is located in San Jose. I called all three companies and had them come out to give us an estimate within the week. I didn't realize that solar was that expensive. My husband and I decided to choose Ambrose Solar , because our sale person Cortlandt was all about getting us the best product and explained everything that would work for us. Cortlandt was on it. He explained to my husband and I what we needed to do in order to get the best production and we were on it. My husband and I made the appointment for Ambrose to start installing the panels which included the inspection and it only took one day to install. The only waiting time was waiting to hear back from PG&E . They said normally it would take about a month for PG &E to let us know that it was ok to push the button. We recently worked with Ambrose Solar in Vacaville for a solar upgrade project, and we couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism, expertise, and overall customer service. Our original solar system was installed in 2005, and we were looking for a trusted local company to handle a much-needed upgrade. Happy with how Ambrose Solar handled the whole process. Doug was the sales representative and we had an appointment at my house. All was explained and all questions answered. I had some other companies still to give me quotes but I chose Ambrose. They seemed a bit pricier than others but the reputation seemed better. My installation coordinator was Hannah, and she did a great job at keeping me in the loop. The installation was completed on the scheduled day at the contract price. No overages or add-ons needed. It took PG&E a couple of weeks to switch me to the new agreement but all was eventually completed. Timeline: Contact in mid-March 2022; appointment with Doug the following week; contract signed and good to go on March 24; installation scheduled for and completed on May 11; final city inspection on May 20; PG&E gave the okay to energize on June 10. The system installed was 9.36 kW with 26 panels. I have monitored on the PG&E website my energy usage and it is as expected. The final part needing to be installed on my system by Ambrose is a direct monitor that will link to an app to provide real-time data. That component is back-ordered...supply chain issues, but I expect that to be installed in July. Overall...a good experience with, for me, a reliable company that did what it said it would do on time and on budget. read more

I would like to write a quick review of my experience with Ambrose solar... I think my decision to finally put solar on my roof took more than a year to make and every step of the way from Kelsey who was my sales person to Vincent my project manager and Mike my closing meeting specialist was a seamlessly professional experience. My project was made difficult by a few complications with my house not the least of which was the need for a new roof and a solution for not having a 200 amp feed from PG&E into my house. Those guiding my experience at Ambrose were beyond patient, as I asked them to explain things over and over again. When it came to the actual installation, I was completely blown away by the crew that Ambrose sent... to call them. Professional was a complete understatement. Imanol led the crew on the roof and just got the job done so fast! Tony dropped what he was doing every single time I asked him a question and explained things to me so clearly! Nate did the same thing while he was installing the Span panel. What was clear the entire time was that all representatives of Ambrose solar understood what a big decision. The application process was smooth but the install so far has not been the same. Install was scheduled for yesterday. Was told it was a one day job. I was never notified that the job was not finished and the city inspection was already scheduled for today. Got the call this morning that the inspection would need to be cancelled but NO other information other than I would be called to see when I could be scheduled back in for completion. Dissatisfied with how they have handled things and would not refer them out to anyone else at this point. Just got a call back stating they would be back tomorrow. Don't you think a company should finish up one job before moving on to the next? 11/4 Update I will have to say that Ambrose turned things around very quickly for us. Per the review earlier I had some concerns but after contacting Kody and receiving a call from Pamela, my dissatisfaction has completely been eliminated. The entire team that has worked on my job has done everything to ensure that we are happy with the communication, the work, and the customer service. The job is finished and we are now awaiting city inspection. Thank you again to Ambrose Solar for making this right. The two Ambrose Solar crews that installed the equipment for Kim and I were excellent, always on time, polite and respectful. On day one Dalton arrived with his crew Jordan, Isaiah and Diego this 4 man crew spent the day placing all the mounting brackets on the roof in the cold and rain . Day two no rain Dalton's same crew placed most all the Solar panels and conduit in the attic.The electrician / battery crew of Irvin and Eddie arrived at 8:00 am and took the time to explain what they would do. Irvin was concerned about Kims plants, she and I were very impressed but we told them not to worry. Irvin and Eddie did a great job placing the batteries where I hoped they would. Day 3 both crews arrived early to run wires to complete their job and after a thorough cleanup and explanation of the equipment, and they painted the exposed conduit the same color as the house. Of course, all of this happened after we met with Mark HARLOW sales manager then we went to their office and warehouse and met with Pat Ambrose along with office personnel and our project manager Bri. Solid and Beyond Expectations Mid-2024: started the process of having a new roof, solar panels and two Tesla Power Walls installed. At the front end, Jon Landsman was the main point of contact. Jon listened well and got answers to my many questions and walked me through the process to getting a signed contract that I was satisfied with. Late 2024: the system was installed with a start-up and permission to operate before the end of the year. 2025: system operated well for the entire year providing my family with significant savings in our electric bill AND allowed us to charge our plug-in hybrid electric car. 2025-2026: Ambrose initiated applying for a PG&E rebate for the Power Walls on my behalf. I was not aware of the program, so this was an unexpected bonus! The application process was long and had lots of detail for which Stephanie Reiser (Senior Utility Coordinator at Ambrose) was very pleasant to work with. For every twist and turn and request for more or different information by PG&E, Stephanie was there to shepherd me through the process. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. He was able to get the system up promptly and was very professional, as I have a newborn at home. It wasn't inconvenient when I asked questions, and he would respond even if he had a long day on other projects, which I appreciate. I cannot say the same about others. I thought the others were trying to make a commission and even wanted to contract parts of the job like Bird shielding. Which for the price is ridiculous. We went back and forth on this a couple of times in two or three separate calls and came to the mutual decision that the cost was not worth the additional "juice" I would get. Unfortunately, much of this is a result of both inflation (rising cost of materials due to tariffs) and the withdrawal of rebates and other benefits to installing solar. I still firmly believe installing solar is the correct thing to do for our environment and our world. I truly appreciated Diego's honesty in being upfront about the cost. For this reason, although it did not work out for us, I highly recommend working with this company if you want to install solar panels.
