My parents purchased solar from a HORRIBLE company that sounds a lot like 'SunFun'. After they passed away, and the house was sold...we were STILL making the monthly payments for over a year!!! That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership. Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar companies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. We had FINALLY FOUND A PEACE about getting solar on our home; KNOWING we would be in good hands, and we were ALL IN. Got Watts installed two phases of solar panels on my roof, 67 panels in total. The job was massive,…read morethe price was fair, and the follow up service was excellent. There were hardware glitches after installation, but the Got Watts team reliably spotted them - without me realizing there was even an issue - and sent teams out to ensure my equipment worked as promised. Years later I noticed some leaks through my roof where some phase 2 panels were installed. I notified Got Watts and they sent large crews to my home to rectify the issue over several days. This was no small fix. They probably spent vastly more to rectify the leaks than they did to install the panels to begin with. No one likes to have problems with an install. But, it means a lot for a contractor to honor their commitment and spend vast sums to honor their warranty, and their word, to their customer. I've had "good companies" make promises they wouldn't honor once the initial check cleared. Got Watts was true to their word and treated me in a dignified manner that is rare these days. I could use more power but since my original installer went bankrupt, I have been unable to find a company to work on adding panels economically. Each company contacted wants to sell me a new system, which is not what I want, need, or afford. We went back and forth on this a couple of times in two or three separate calls and came to the mutual decision that the cost was not worth the additional "juice" I would get. Unfortunately, much of this is a result of both inflation (rising cost of materials due to tariffs) and the withdrawal of rebates and other benefits to installing solar. I still firmly believe installing solar is the correct thing to do for our environment and our world. I truly appreciated Diego's honesty in being upfront about the cost. For this reason, although it did not work out for us, I highly recommend working with this company if you want to install solar panels.

They opened a gate and did not close it after them. They do not wear any company logo on clothing or company trucks. They came in private. Looked like they were just individuals off the street..

I was very skeptical about getting Solar because of the stories I'd heard about the rebates, and I was worried about the "catch." After getting multiple bids on the project and the system that I needed, this company was able to do it right. They quoted me a reasonable price for the design, whereas other companies pushed leasing, which cost more over time, and others wanted to charge way more for the system because of the rebate increase. Missing leading customers, overcharging, and lacking the best financing options. Daniel, however, was very reasonable and professional, explaining it step-by-step. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. He was able to get the system up promptly and was very professional, as I have a newborn at home. It wasn't inconvenient when I asked questions, and he would respond even if he had a long day on other projects, which I appreciate. I cannot say the same about others. I thought the others were trying to make a commission and even wanted to contract parts of the job like Bird shielding. Which for the price is ridiculous. I got answers from Darlene that did not make sense. Sometimes her computer was down other times her phone was down. Sometimes she would call to give me a message only to realize that she had called the wrong customer. Did not enjoy working with her. Finally, Kara engaged and we got the Permission to Operate about two months after the install. Supposedly Jeff (the Business Owner) is no longer with the company and has gone back East, so not sure who is leading their future efforts. For future customers: hang on to a portion of the payment till the Permission to Operate is received not just the installation.

I bought solar because I wanted lower electric bills and a system I wouldn't have to think about…read more Instead, I've spent the last several months dealing with a system that stopped working in early March and still isn't working the way it should. When this first happened, my system wasn't producing any solar power at all. Since then I've had multiple technician visits, a lot of emails and text messages, and the same problem keeps coming back. After a technician comes out it might work for a day or two, then the production drops again. Months later, it's still not producing what it should. To be fair, communication was actually pretty good in the beginning. My emails were answered quickly and appointments were scheduled. But as time went on, the responses became slower and slower. I found myself having to send follow up emails just to get updates. At one point I was told they would keep me posted about the next appointment. After more than three weeks without hearing anything, I had to follow up myself. The next appointment wasn't offered until after I reached out. One thing that really frustrated me was being told my system looked fine because there were no alerts. That was hard to understand when the system was clearly not producing like it had before all of this started. I even explained that it would seem to work after a technician visit, then the production would drop again shortly after. After months of dealing with the same issue, I asked for my case to be escalated to management. That request wasn't even acknowledged. No one responded to it. No manager reached out. It was like I never even asked. The whole time this has been going on, I've still been making my monthly solar payment while also paying higher PG&E bills because my system isn't producing what it should. I have every email and text message saved from this whole process. This wasn't one bad appointment or one repair that didn't work. This has been months of temporary fixes, waiting for the next appointment, then finding out the problem still isn't fixed. At this point I honestly wish I could have the whole system removed and get my money back. I never expected buying solar to turn into something this frustrating. I gave Citadel every opportunity to make this right. I was patient because I know things can go wrong.
