We are so happy with the life changing solar installation that Sol R Us provided for us. Chris, Daniel and the rest of the team went above and beyond on the installation of our unique solar system. The two days for installation that the team was at our home they were very professional, responsive, and efficient. We highly endorse and recommend Sol R Us and we will use them when we are ready for an energy storage installation in the future. The savings that we have seen in the first two months of the interconnection are amazing and will make for a very short return on investment. We are thrilled! Ben and Lisa Carnahan

We saved over $4K in year 1. It's been a great investment for us!

It's been over a year since my panels were installed, but I wanted to wait until at least after my first annual true-up bill, so here it goes: I was referred to SolRus by a former co-worker. I got to see his install and learn about his experience working with Chris, Daniel and Arielle. I'm the type that really gets into the weeds before making a big purchase (I have a touch of OCD- lol); I got 6 bids and have been very happy with my decision to use SolRus. They offer a premium product at a very competitive price. Everything from the solar panels, the inverters and even the roof mounts they use (which are not all created equal) are top notch. Some companies I got bids from didn't even specify the model or brand of solar panels they were proposing (immediate red flag). I had a brand new roof installed just before getting solar, so I was really concerned about them damaging it. After the install, during last winter's heavy rains, I went into the attic a few times to check for leaks and all was good. I had Daniel oversize my system by 20% because my next car will likely be an EV and I also knew we would use more electricity than we had in the past (most people that get solar typically do). The system actually produced 609kWhrs more than what Daniel projected it would from June 2022 through May 2023, despite a very rainy/cloudy winter. I was very happy to see that on our first annual true-up bill with PG&E, they owed us $154.72! I was a net exporter for the entire year by 1,818kWhrs, which should be plenty for me when I get an EV. Daniel knows what he's doing in designing a system! If you're shopping around for solar, be weary of the guys that are aggressively selling leases and Power Purchase Agreements. They are typically a very bad deal- the worst way to get solar. You'll end up paying multiples what it will cost you to simply buy the system (even if you need to finance the purchase). The guys selling PPAs are the sleazy, used car salesmen of the solar industry. They have a slick response to any objections you may raise about leasing or PPAs, but read the fine print on those 20-25 year contracts. They are written to extract as much value/money from the consumer as they can; they favor the solar company, not the consumer. Glad that Daniel never even mentioned a lease or PPA. I'm a very happy owner of a solar system that has exceeded my expectations. With the recent rate increases and since I'm grandfathered in under NEM 2.0, I expect my payback to be just 3.5 years. =) As of this review on 9/25/23, I have referred 23 people to SolRus and all of them are happy customers. Yes, 23, which includes my brother, my partner's parents, friends and neighbors. I have no reason to believe that Chris, Daniel, Arielle and team won't continue to provide customers with a great product at a great price and an excellent overall customer experience.

Simply put, if you are considering solar, go with this company. I met with 5 different solar companies and Sol R Us impressed me from the start. I first met with Chris and Daniel. Daniel was my sales rep who was great to work with throughout the entire process. Daniel was always responsive (never more than 30 minutes to hear back from him) and worked hard and fast to answer my questions. I felt supported throughout the entire process. Chris was the most knowledgeable person of the all companies I met with. He was honest and straight forward in explaining the sizing of my system and the pros and cons of different panel options. Following my meeting with Chris and Daniel, I met with Eddie, who ultimately led our install too. Eddie was great. We walked through the install plan and on install day he and the team did a great job and finished installing 26 panels in about 7 hours. They even removed some old water heater panels from the previous owner of our home. Also, Sol R Us coordinated all of the inspections and even reached out to a plumber to install an automatic shut off valve for our gas (requirement by the town of Danville). The town inspector even said he's never seen that level of service from a solar company. Finally, I'm very happy with the price I paid for the system. Overall, I can't say enough about the positive experience working with Sol R Us. The service, price, quality of their work, and overall experience with the company are all reasons that make me recommend them if you are thinking about installing solar!

This year (2024) I decided that my electric bill was just too much, I was going to get solar eventually, and the longer I put it off the more it would cost me overall. I liked that they didn't harass me. Once some folks get your number they just wont stop calling. Diablo didn't bug me back in 2020 and they were not really trying the hard sale this time either. I called them, had a brief discussion about what I was looking for, and scheduled a visit. I didn't know much about solar installations, so I spoke with a friend who was familiar with these things. He told me what to look out for in terms of equipment. After I got the quote, the folks at Diablo were very helpful answering questions along these lines. Again just providing information, not trying to sell me. Diablo handled everything and scheduled a time to do the install. Overall it took about 3 days. Two days for most of the hardware and then a day about a week later to deal with the mess in my breaker box from some previous work done by another company. Then they handled everything with PG&E and about a month later everything was cleared on PG&Es end. This delay was due to PG&E processing paperwork. Overall it's working well. Just see the before and after photos below. Not of my roof but of my electric consumption. You can see some before and after values as well as how the system performed on a particularly hot day.

My parents purchased solar from a HORRIBLE company that sounds a lot like 'SunFun'. After they passed away, and the house was sold...we were STILL making the monthly payments for over a year!!! That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership. Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar companies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. We had FINALLY FOUND A PEACE about getting solar on our home; KNOWING we would be in good hands, and we were ALL IN. It's been six months now, and we are beyond pleased with our solar panels, and the two Tesla batteries we have purchased. We are true fans, who have NOTHING but RAVE REVIEWS for this company. If you don't have solar, or if you need to add solar, Kevin Bedard is your man! and Ambrose is your company. Every employee has been amazing and helpful. In a world where customer service has taken a dump, this company has remained a class act. So again...if you are considering solar, call Ambrose, and tell them Albert and Rhonda sent you.

Any home renovation project has bumps, and this one had its fair share: after initial install they monitor the systems production remotely to see if it's doing what it's supposed to/expected to, and my system was initially under-performing. They caught it and sent out a team to problem solve it, which took a couple tries, but they didn't drag their feet, they kept on it and kept at it and got it resolved. It was no fault of theirs, just a technology glitch. Core fear was that they would give up after a couple failures and leave me following up with them to get it done, but I never had to worry about that. I also did not end up liking where they placed the control box- it was something that was going to make future maintenance of my house trim problematic down the line. They willingly moved it up a few inches for me (and my only complaint was the team that did that didn't patch the original hole as efficiently as they should have. If I had understood the box placement better on the first pass that would never have happened, so this is a bit of a complaint of my own making.) Jon Landsman, who sold me the system, stayed with us the whole time tracking the project, checking in, and following through on every detail, every question, every concern. He never made me feel like the demanding diva that I am, was always prompt and gracious! The bottom line is that start to finish, even with a few bumps in the road, I have zero question that this is a company that legitimately cares about doing what is right. The culture of deeply valuing customer service that they have built is unmatched by many businesses these days. I am SO pleased, and SO impressed, and I can promise that you will be too!

I also replaced my gas furnace with a heat pump, so our electric needs are significant. A new roof with complete tear off and new plywood is a big project. I started by getting a quote from Solar City but they weren't able to coordinate with a roofer. Their leasing agreement (aka PPA) also had some provisions that seemed pretty predatory. I don't remember if Solar Sesame cold called me or I called them, but I do remember that Marcel did a great job of explaining the process. I'm pretty knowledgeable about these kind of projects so I asked somre very detailed questions. When he wasn't able to answer them immediately, he didn't front, he just said he didn't know and called the office for better info. That's the best response. I was a little concerned that Solar Sesame used an outsourced the roofing to a vendor. But given the time constraints, that was a good decision. Also, the vendor they chose, Arts Roofing, was a joy to work with. They communicated well, and when there was a small problem, they handled it professionally and entirely to my satisfaction. The solar panels went up super fast and well. They system was generating power the as soon as the installers were done. Unfortunately, PGE took their sweet time getting the final inspection done. So PGE got some free kwh from the system. On the good side, we didn't start paying for the system until after PGE did the final turn on, so no problem for us. I monitor the system via the PGE site as well as the Tesla app. Those two systems match up perfectly so I am happy with the amount of power being created and sold back to PGE. Also, we had a short power outage in our neighborhood, and it didn't impact us at all. The only reason I knew about it was that PGE alerted us via text. I looked out my window and noticed that none of my neighbors had their lights on. Between Marcel (sales) and Mei (project management), I'm very happy with the end result and the process on this large residential project.

PG&E was here today, because I called to schedule the inspections that were SolarSesame's responsibility. PG&E indicated that the system would likely be failed and that more work would be required. 3. I had to demand that SolarSesame and GoodLeap stop calling me because they lied constantly.
