Update: 1. Last full True Up year of December 2022 to December 2023 I paid $900 to PGE for electricity for the entire year. We own 2 electric cars and our home has 2 AC units. To say we are power hungry is putting it mildly 2. In 2023 our 11.47 kw system with microinverters generated 18.1 MwHs of power. This is about 40% more than a similarly sized Tesla system my co-worker has. 3. Earlier this year my Enphase system stopped reporting data to enphase but was still working. Enphase called Corda who called me and they got a tech out to fix it same day. This was a free service visit. This is amazing customer service. 4. We've had 2 power outages so far this summer and both times I only realized it after receiving notifications from PG&E and Enphase. The system cuts over so quickly there is no interuption to any devices. 5. We live in the Tri-Vally where a heat wave had temperatures reaching 95-110 for several weeks in June and July. We never changed our consumption habits and kept the house at a cool 74 degrees anytime we were home. My True Up increase for that time period was only $75. The True Up was negative for the 3 billing cycles prior. I'm seeing Reddit posts of people with power bills over $1k for the same period. Keep in mind we are also charging two EVs! I calculate this system will fully pay for itself in 7 years and continue to provide my family with essentially free uninterrupted power after that. We did manage to catch NEM2 but the system will still pay for itself in NEM3, it will just take a lot longer and you will definitely need batteries. read more

We had 26 panels installed in 4 separate modules, which was necessary due to our roof having many different pitches. We live in the Tri-Valley area. Six power outages and a $400 a month electric bill had us strongly considering installing solar with a battery backup system. Our house have a metal roof that my in-laws had installed 18 years ago and I know she paid lots of money then. We have a pool and added a hot tub last year and my PGE bill was $500-600 a month! I called lots of company and nobody wants to install solar on a metal roof. I called Tesla since I have an account with them and they gave me a quote for 45K and that's removing my roof and getting rid of my pool solar and they are putting new solar roof. I talked to my pool guy and he recommended CORDA SOLAR! Gary called me right away, came to my house and gave him all the info he needed! Was very impressed that he made it easier for me! I don't need to get a new roof, kept my pool solar and they even moved it towards the front of the house! The whole process and installation took less than a month and really was delayed by the shelter in place. After talking to 2-3 big companies, I spoke to Gary at Corda Solar. Gary came over soon and took a survey of the property and walked me thru the changes needed. He gave me multiple options (both price wise and quality wise) I asked for specific dates and got it installed. I was not home, but Gary and his men came, installed, and cleaned up. I was surprised at the cleanliness. I don't write many reviews but: After installation multiple times, Gary/Courtney and the company helped me - I wanted to say I chose the right solar company. - They are available when you have questions to answer - Gary came and checked the system when I had some doubts - they painted the pipes to match the roof tiles accurately and placed them where I wanted precisely - after miscommunication from my side - they went ahead and gave me a credit memo for solar service These show that they are honest people and I highly recommend them.
