There were hardware glitches after installation, but the Got Watts team reliably spotted them - without me realizing there was even an issue - and sent teams out to ensure my equipment worked as promised. Years later I noticed some leaks through my roof where some phase 2 panels were installed. I notified Got Watts and they sent large crews to my home to rectify the issue over several days. This was no small fix. They probably spent vastly more to rectify the leaks than they did to install the panels to begin with. No one likes to have problems with an install. But, it means a lot for a contractor to honor their commitment and spend vast sums to honor their warranty, and their word, to their customer. I've had "good companies" make promises they wouldn't honor once the initial check cleared. Got Watts was true to their word and treated me in a dignified manner that is rare these days. David the technician ended up coming out and found a really serious issue that could have been disastrous had it not been fixed. The communication and quality of the service overall are what really stood out. Between Marlene keeping me informed about the schedule and following up the day after to make sure things were operational to David's work to fix the issue and his communication afterwards and Jeff staying in touch the whole time, it was a great experience. I got answers from Darlene that did not make sense. Sometimes her computer was down other times her phone was down. Sometimes she would call to give me a message only to realize that she had called the wrong customer. Did not enjoy working with her. Finally, Kara engaged and we got the Permission to Operate about two months after the install. Supposedly Jeff (the Business Owner) is no longer with the company and has gone back East, so not sure who is leading their future efforts. For future customers: hang on to a portion of the payment till the Permission to Operate is received not just the installation.

Upon Ryan's recommendation, we also decided to replace the solar panel racking system installed by Sunrun because we were plagued with roof leaks due to improper sealing of their footings. Ryan and the Northstar team were absolute champs at removing and reinstalling the new system for us. Everyone we dealt with was so professional, kind and easy going. The work was beautifully done and based on all the photos and detail provided by Ryan I am confident we will be safe from leaks going forward. He also had to coordinate the reinstall with our roofer and everyone handled it so well. The owner of that business recommended Sunlight Electrical to fix my system. I spoke with Carlos at Sunlight. He sent out Isaac who seemed very capable. Isaac's assessment was that my system had multiple wiring issues and recommended a service that would require a larger team to complete. He explained why, and I concurred with Isaac's recommendation. Carlos scheduled a larger team to come out the next week. They were led by Jesus, who also seemed quite knowledgeable. Jesus and his team worked diligently for 4 hours. They found more wiring errors as Isaac has predicted. And they found a damaged Tesla MC2 unit on the roof which had cracked. After they completed their repairs, the system started operating better than it ever had before. I estimate that I am now getting an extra 10-15% more power from the solar panels. In addition to providing capable technicians, I really appreciate that Sunlight is so easy to work with. I asked several highly technical questions and always got thoughtful answers. If you want something done a specific way, just ask them. They have such a positive, customer oriented attitude that makes them a pleasure to deal with.

Adam came back when he had enough open schedule to fix everything and some parts were shipped in. An incredibly nice guy, and just an incredibly fair and integrity oriented operation. All the vendors I evaluated were five stars with many reviews, but Letts was the only one that didn't feel like I was being upsold and he was just out there to help me solve my problems. Honestly can't wait to hire them again, which is an absurd thing to say about a plumber, but man what a great experience. I will rave about them to anyone who will listen.

I have been working with Al, Sue and Joe for years. Since we have been in the house (for 28 years now) they serviced our old (older then 28 years) "inherited" collector panels. Over the last few years as they really started deteriorating, and started leaking, they were always prompt and repaired them. Finally they told me it was not worth trying to repair them anymore. I never even got another bid to replace them, thats how much i trusted them. They installed our new system just a few months ago, and I am happy say even with the mild year we have had so far, the pool is a warm 83 degrees. Thanks Alcor Team! read more

When I decided to go Solar for the pool 8 years ago I met with all of them. My site required a custom setup, which I assumed all installs were because every pool site is different. That was not the case as I found out. Only Alcor offered the best Solar Panels in the industry along with an experieced install team. The price was very competive even compared to lesser panels. Their sales rep did his homework on our house and then came over with drawings and and Full financial mapping. I am in high tech and business for my day job and he already done much of that research myself but they nailed it and were honest about the size system we needed. Solar city had oversized it. For purchasing they even let me purchase the solar equipment direct and get credit card points. The paperwork process was a breeze and they handled everything. Even the install with the workers was smooth and on time. When we hit a snag in terms of running conduit and making it look good they even hired a contractor to cut into my roof and make it run in the closed attic and then repair it so it looks brand new and clean. We are already producing electricity that is right on par or above their estimates. They got started within a couple weeks of signing the contract and done within a week. They hit every day of their schedule. Update 5 months in. They modeled that from January to May I would produce 6300kwh. Even with all the rain I am coming in at 6700. Appreciate the conservative modeling and over delivering :)

Installation didn't take long and they handled all the paperwork and inspection. A battery was added later and the experience was repeated. Now I've just had to have the roof replaced, solar panels removed and re installed. Daniel made the arrangements with the roofing company, the panels were removed the day before the roofers arrived and put back on within a couple of days. I am so grateful for the outstanding service I received each time. The quality of their system is excellent, pricing is good and working with them was a pleasure. Bravo!

Many cities now require solar systems to be installed, inspected, and signed off during rough construction, and fully completed before final inspection approval can be issued. I reached out to High Def Solar for a quote on a new construction project and scheduled a phone consultation. To help streamline the design process, I requested an email address so I could provide all the relevant project information upfront, including: * New electrical panel location and amperage * Appliance load sheets * Roof plans * Exterior elevations * Homeowner energy usage statements * Construction timeline and rough inspection schedule Instead of working collaboratively, the salesperson refused to provide an email address and stated they would only speak directly with the homeowner. Once I explained that I was the builder managing the project, I was told they did not want to discuss the system with "a construction worker" and insisted on dealing only with the client. This made absolutely no sense considering the homeowner has little to no knowledge of the construction schedule, rough inspection requirements, electrical infrastructure, or timing needed to successfully integrate solar into a new build. As the builder, coordinating these systems is literally part of my job. I've already received proposals and had productive conversations with several other solar contractors who understand how new construction projects operate and were happy to work directly with the builder to properly coordinate design, scheduling, and permitting. Unfortunately, my experience with High Def Solar was dismissive, unprofessional, and unnecessarily difficult. If you are a builder, contractor, or anyone managing a new construction project, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Working with professionals who understand construction coordination will save you a tremendous amount of time and frustration.
