The eggs were cooked well, the hash browns were crispy, and the French toast was perfectly made. The ricotta and berry compote was also fantastic. We were absolutely stuffed and could not be happier. The bill was also much lower than we expected, so the food is pretty affordable compared to other diners in town. I just ate here for breakfast and the food was great!! However, for the most minor thing the owner Addi yelled at me so loud that everyone in the restaurant looked at me. I tried to brush it off that she must have a very unhappy and stressful life. Moral of the story, even if you are the owner being nice to your customers is still important even though you cannot be fired b/c you own the place!! P.S. I do psychotherapy and prescribe psychiatric medications so I am rather knowledgenable in regards to human behaviors. this was my first and last time at this restaurant. So if anyone else spoke up or tried to, she had already walked off. Food was good. We all ordered a variety of things. Portion sizes were big. I definitely took some home. Everyone enjoyed it. Parking is atrocious. While waiting for the rest of the family to arrive, my husband and I went walking around to figure out how to get out of their cramped parking lot in a big truck. The only backing up I wanted to do in this lot was into my parking space. I think Eugene/Springfield has a severe lack of 24 hour diners, so I'm thrilled that Mandy's expanded to a second location. I engineered every remaining bite to recreate it. The sausage itself is worth ordering on its own. It was light but rich, beautifully seasoned, and an absurdly good addition to the Spanish eggs. As a local, it truly breaks my heart to write this review. I always want to support our…read moreneighborhood businesses, but I have to be honest about my recent breakfast experience here. The Atmosphere I'll start with the positives: the decor is absolutely awesome. As a discophile, I spent half my time admiring the vinyls lining the walls. The model aircraft suspended from the ceiling and the upside-down table add a unique, cool character to the place that you just don't find elsewhere. Visually, it's a 5-star experience.. The Food & Drink Unfortunately, the meal itself was a different story. The Coffee: I'm a black coffee purist, but this was beyond horrible. It tasted completely "burnt"--to the point where I actually had to add sugar just to make it drinkable. Breakfast Burrito: This was, quite frankly, uneatable. I'm not sure if it was the black beans, the eggs, or something else in the mix, but the flavor was horribly off. Hash Browns: They were completely flavorless and added nothing to the plate. Jalapeños: I'm a huge fan of sauces and peppers, but somehow even the side of jalapeños was bad. On a smaller bright note, the English muffin was good (though it's hard to ruin one of those), and the water tasted great. I honestly can't recommend the water enough, which is a strange thing to say about a diner visit. Final Verdict I cannot recommend this spot for breakfast in good conscience. I hope I get the chance to come back and try their dinner menu to see if it's an improvement, but for now, the great decor just isn't enough to make up for the kitchen's performance.

I totally get they can't resell it. I threw it away wishing it would have been bearable I would have just kept the scone. But the woman kept saying baking is hard and it's tough to get it right as she was putting in the new price for me to pay. It made me feel like it was my fault for it not being a scone (just a scone shape) It was like a cake rather than a biscuit consistency which you can look in the definition of a scone. If the scone didn't come out well then don't sell it? :/ She never said sorry or dang it that's a bummer. It was, well it's hard to bake so it's on you and here's the new price. That experience made me leave this review as it could have been handled a lot differently especially with the amount of traffic they get, they could have been thoughtful to the situation one time. It seemed greedy and a lack of good customer service to sell a scone that is misleading and not a scone at all but then make a customer pay for it for not liking it. Truly a bummer, I will stop going to this place now. :/ If you look at my reviews I've only given 5 star reviews this is my first 1 star and wish it wasn't the case. Ps, I just had the second type of scone. It's cake too and not a biscuit or scone texture at all. I just wasted $10 dollars. Don't get their baked goods. "A scone relies on cold fat (like butter) rubbed into flour to create flaky, tender layers, very similar to a biscuit. When a bakery serves something with a cake or muffin texture, it usually means they over-mixed the dough, used too much liquid, or used a batter-based recipe instead of a traditional pastry method"
