Sunday lunch for 4 of us was less than $35.00 and we are stuffed!! We shared: spinach pie, gyros, Achilles fries, and a coney dog. All delicious!! Great service, relaxed yesteryear atmosphere. Can't recommend highly enough.

    Spanakopita (Greek Spinach pie),

For more than 20 years we have been enjoying this classic diner. My son loves their Reuben and Sothern omelet. My go to is the Greek omelet). Truly delicious, home-cooked comfort food at its best. You cannot find a better spinach pie (Spanakopita)! Try a Greek salad with homemade Greek dressing, it's fabulous. I absolutely love this restaurant; the service and quality are top-notch.

    Hidden gem? Lets find out

I highly recommend Achilles. I ordered the Southern Omelette with bacon. I always order this type of omelette when I experience a restaurant for the first time. The hash browns came inside the omelette and were perfectly cooked. This was easily one of the best omelettes I have had in the Ann Arbor area! Additionally, the service was great and I never had a empty cup of coffee. I will definitely be going back to try more. A hidden gem indeed.

Chicken strips dinner with sides of soup and fries - $8.50

I think I chose the wrong thing to eat but I personally had a poor experience compared to other reviews. The prices here are your typical diner fare and the breakfast and lunch options seem good. My chicken strip dinner was less than satisfactory. The strips were small and the temperatures were not well maintained - the BBQ sauce was too chilled and the soup was scalding hot. Additionally, I had to remind the waitstaff of my bread basket which came out chilled as well. In addition, the service was not the greatest - the waitress seemed to be in a rush to get off her shift and was not the most attentive. She also seemed a bit pushy to get our orders. I might give this place a second chance as there are not many diner options around and the prices are reasonable - but I didn't have a good first experience.

Lamb gyro plate with hash and eggs.

Cheap and decent diner food with good service. No complaints. Very friendly staff and constantly came by to refill our coffees. Had the lamb gyro dish with hashbrowns, eggs and toast. Nothing over the top or remarkable. Overall, a nice quick sitdown for any meal in the day with friendly fast service.

This is a cute little restaurant. It offers the usual diner fare like tuna melts and breakfast all day, as well as a few Greek specialties. The decor is diner kitsch, with posters of James Dean, the Statue of Liberty or jukeboxes on the walls. On the warm but overcast summer day I was there, they had the windows open instead of running the air conditioning. The temperature was fine, but the wind was blowing in just the wrong direction so that some of the smell from the smoking side was wafting over to the non-smoking side. I ordered a veggie gyro, which was really just a veggie pita wrap sandwich. Depending on what the ingredients for the flatbread are, this could be a completely vegan meal, as it was just a mix of sauteed vegetables along with fresh tomato and lettuce wrapped in a round of soft, fluffy flatbread. There was a really thick, creamy tzadziki on the side, and the sandwich was very satisfying. By itself, I could have eaten a meal, including tip, for around $5. However, I got it as a combo meal, with fries, a mini Greek salad, and a soda pop. The fries were nothing special; they were good, though a few were a little limp and undercooked. The mini Greek salad was really good, with generous chunks of feta cheese, really fresh-tasting kalamata olives, and perfectly ripe red tomatoes. I thought it was odd that they used what seemed like a bag mix of lettuce with red cabbage and carrots, instead of just using romaine. However, it didn't detract from the salad, and the Greek dressing that came on the side was good and obviously made in-house. Unfortunately, the soda was flat, and when I sent it back, the second glass was equally flat. However, the waitress was apologetic about it, and, by the third try, they'd changed their CO2 canister, and I finally got a fizzy diet Coke. They have really good breakfast deals here, as low as $2.49 on weekdays before 11 a.m., and I may have to go back to sample their breakfasts some time.

Super Coney, fries and slaw. Way to go Dearborn sausage! You'll need a knife and a fork for this job.

From the written menu, I thought this was going to be butterfly pea powder, cinnamon, almond milk, maple syrup, coconut whipped cream. However, when ordering the Blue Whale drink on the self serve order kiosk, it's described as "Blue Majik" spirulina/energy boosting botanicals (carbonated). The drink I got fit the latter's description. Would suggest updating the board :). I did get a little jittery afterwards, but unsure if that was from the "energy boosting" botanicals or from a coffee I had a couple hours earlier. (Or combo - I do tend to be more sensitive to caffeine, and assuming this drink was caffeine free.) Free WiFi and seating/outlets to do a bit of work here. Not a lot of seating for this, but it wasn't busy on a Thursday morning for a little work! Clean airy vibes, and convenient location in what I call the "Trader Joe's plaza".

This Sunday, my mom invited myself and my siblings to join her for brunch. The ambience was amazing - with lovely natural lighting and gorgeous table settings. The menu makes every dish seem mouthwatering and delicious. When the plates came out, they were gorgeous and the food looked so inviting. Unfortunately, the taste was completely lacking. If you're going to charge the prices they're charging, the flavor should be amazing in every single bite. We sampled four different dishes, and none blew me away. Some, were even borderline "bad." Here's a rundown: mushroom pizza - the description makes it seem like it will be cheesy and full of flavor, but it was very one note duck confit pizza - had three pieces of duck on it and was otherwise covered in hot peppers lemon blueberry pancake - more of a skillet cake - sauce was the best part, otherwise dry on the bottom Raclette burger - $30 which is almost comparable in price to a burger I had at The Four Seasons in Maui. That burger, was worth every penny. This one had absolutely no flavor. The meat tasted like mush - definitely lacked seasoning, and there was not a speck of cheese to be found. If you're going to call a burger a raclette, it should be oozing with cheese. grilled Romaine salad - leaves were bitter and the dressing again, looked delicious, but had no flavor. The flavors did not compliment each other at all - with the pickled grapes, taking away from the dish and contrasting very starkly against the rotten tasting lettuce Brown sugar oat milk latte - really the only thing that delivered both on looks and on flavor. Sadly, not high on my list of places to return. It kind of made me think of Vegas: lots of pomp and glam which momentarily distracts you into thinking you're having the best time of your life. But in retrospect, not very fulfilling.
