Delicious! Boyfriend and I got breakfast and it was good. Pretty good steak and eggs for a coney. And the waiter was very kind! He even pointed out how buff my man was and that made him feel pretty good lol. thank you!

I was so excited to find this place! It is close to home and the service is impeccable. The restaurant has a homey feel with beautiful decor. The restaurant had plenty of booths which a must. Parking was easy and there are plenty of spots available when we arrived. My husband ordered the corn beef hash as a side and the chicken and waffles. I ordered an omelette and a side order of pancakes. Everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and we had plenty to take home. The diner had a homey feel. I think we found our regular breakfast place.

Wonderful Greek salad! Very fresh and tasty.

Very pleasant restaurant with friendly service. The gyro and greek salad is a wonderful combination. Great coffee!

Came to this place before when it was classic cup. Alpha is the new place now nice change. Ordered the gyro with my son and we got a side of onion rings to share. These onion rings are fantastic made all different sizes ,great thick custard batter & very crunchy! If you have a craving for some super awesome onion rings this is definitely the best place in town as I've tried them all. Also they have Saginaki which is the flaming cheese. I always find that so entertaining!

We showed up right when they opened. The restaurant was clean and had a warm environment. They were playing the fake fireplace on the TVs The server was friendly and keep our coffee cups full. The coffee was super hot and pretty good. Since we were there first people through the doors our food came out quickly. It was hot and fresh. I really enjoyed my blueberry pancakes. They were loaded with juicy blueberries. The edges of the pancakes were a golden crispy delight. The omelette was a decent size but really greasy. For the price I would probably pick something different the next time. I would come back.

Great service, the staff and the owner were very friendly and welcoming. I had a mega gyro with no pita (GF) and as a gyro connoisseur, this place has the best, authentic gyro meat. The interior is beautiful with nice Greek accents and paintings. I highly recommend Alpha Koney Island. Sincerely and from FL, Dave Toman

For a recent lunch date, my partner in crime suggested the newly opened Alpha Diner. I was itching to try a new place, and the thought of all day breakfast or the option of gyro at the same spot appealed to me. We met up shortly before noon on a recent weekday and were promptly seated in a booth. The restaurant is clean, open, and definitely felt upscale for a place with diner in the name. After a quick glance at the menu, we both decided on a gyro sandwich with a side of fries. While we waited for it to arrive, we sipped on a refreshing soft drink and looked over the menu for what we would order on a brunch visit. It only took a few minutes for our tasty gyro to arrive. Once they were set down in front of us, we dug right in, dipping each bite in refreshing tzatziki sauce before eating it. The fries were a perfect crispy warm and the ideal texture, although I could have used a bit more flavor or seasoning on mine. All in all, we enjoyed our lunch at Alpha Diner and will look forward to returning again soon!

What a wonderful place to have lunch or breakfast. I love the variety and the hobo breakfast was phenomenal. Hannah and I came for the breakfast and were titillated and delighted with every morsel and savoring bite. Thank you for the wonderful service and dining experience. We appreciate you and look forward to future visits. Please be aware that takeouts ordered have a mandatory 20% add-on. so I wouldn't take out,I would only dine in. Not sure what that was about.

The good. Nice and clean restaurant, great front of the house. The bad. I ordered corned beef hash and eggs. I didn't ask if canned or homemade. It was canned, no problem, but cooked to death. Most of it was not edible. The over medium eggs were almost totally hard yolks. There is a reason this place was almost empty and the diner up the street is always busy. This is the second visit, last time had the spinach pie, greasy and not great. Won't be going back, better options available.

I'm excited to give this brand new restaurant its first review, and a 5-bagger at that! I recently noticed a sign for the grand opening of a new restaurant on Jackson Road. The "Alpha" part of its name had a familiar ring to it as I was familiar with an Alpha Koney Island on the other side of town. After my wife and I were greeted with a smile at the door, we sat down in a spacious booth and our outstanding server Katy told us that this new restaurant is owned and operated by the same Marwan Al-Rabie, who owned the old Alpha Koney Island. The inside of the restaurant looked spotless and was tastefully decorated with scenes of Greece as well as local Michigan Wolverine Football. We ordered custom Omelettes and split an order of Blueberry Pancakes while we sipped fresh cups of hot Joe. Before long the owner Marwan came out to introduce himself, greet us and thank us for coming in to his newest venture. This was a very classy touch and one that doesn't happen often enough these days. He then kindly offered us a complimentary plate of two kinds of delicious hummus! I can't remember the last time we were offered a complimentary anything at breakfast! Throughout our meal, our server Katy gave us fantastic service and was always close at hand to warm up our coffee cups without asking. Our breakfasts were of 5-star quality, freshness and taste all the way around. The hummus plate was fabulous and provided a peak at how exciting lunch and dinner will be on future visits. This was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had in a very long time and have subsequently found a new 'go-to' for breakfasts and other meals. I can very highly recommend Alpha Diner for an exceptional dining experience.

Just a local restaurant. Independently owned and run. The food is really good and just simple and tasty. The staff is amazing and friendly. Very clean, but not fancy.

The service is perfectly prompt (and that's my opinion as someone who chugs diet coke). The ambiance is adorable, too -- the decorations remind my parents of their time as bikers in Germany in the 90s, possibly the last time my dad had spätzle this good. The schnitzel is amazing. The sauerkraut and red cabbage are ready for you to devour. The sauerbraten converted my boyfriend from a skeptic to full-time believer. We've even, somehow, had room for dessert and tried the carrot cake and it's amazing, too. Try Metzger's! You will not regret it.

My wife had their French Onion Soup, which was rich with melted Swiss cheese, croutons and had great flavor. Metzger's is one of our favorites, and we definitely recommend checking it out when in Ann Arbor.

It took several attempts because the phone just kept ringing before someone finally answered. Perhaps they could benefit using an online reservation service like OpenTable. The restaurant is charming, with the feel of a cozy house and a beautiful outdoor patio. We shared the calamari, smoked whitefish dip, and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were the star--perfectly roasted, not mushy, and coated in a yummy sweet sauce. I'd come back just for those! The Wild Blossom Martini was also refreshing and delicious. I ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly, but the dish didn't quite come together for me. The "avocado relish" was more like scoops of guacamole, and the white cheddar grits were served as a cake. I think a vegetable succotash would have made the dish much more balanced. For dessert, we shared the Mexican chocolate pot de crème, beignets, and a strawberry dessert that wasn't listed on the website. The pot de crème and beignets were both delicious. Overall, the service was good, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was enjoyable. A few small improvements would make it even better, but I'd definitely return the next time I'm in Ann Arbor.

Service was excellent and attentive! I enjoyed the bread service, roadhouse simple salad, French fries, chicken basket with cole slaw and mashed potatoes, and a strawberry specialty cocktail. The breading on the fried chicken was perfection, and the bread AS ALWAYS was delicious. The mashed potatoes and gravy were probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Absolutely holiday home style with great texture. Downsides: too many assorted flying insects on the patio, the pimiento cheese was nearly flavorless, fries were underdone for my liking, and pricing too high and portions too small for the chicken basket.

The food was great 17 years ago when I got three meats and two sides for $11:99 or add Mac n cheese for $15.99. Now at $32 with tip and just water, the smoked bbq pulled beef sandwich was just ok, not a big portion by any means and they do not leave the sauces so whatever is on your sandwich is it. The dining room is still like stepping back in time. Nothing has changed. really. nothing. Our visits have slowed in the last couple years due to the poor experiences we've had, but this last one was the final straw. I am done with Knight's Steak House and the attitudes from the servers. The food isn't good enough nor is there value enough to put up with that level of (lack of) service. I booked a reservation for 6 on a Monday night at 7pm to celebrate a birthday. From the start, the server was short and took WAY too long to come around just for drinks. (25 mins) She had an attitude and before our people were even there, I had a feeling we should leave. I didn't want our son's birthday to be spoiled by this server, but too late. After waiting 25 mins to PUT IN a drink order, we got drinks after appetizers were gone. When she finally brought the drinks, did she stick around to take our order when we asked her to take our orders. We had a kid in our party and it was already near 8pm. IDK what her hold up was or why she was so unavailable to a party of 6 but that was ridiculous. We are pretty easy and very forgiving but throw attitude on top and that ensures we got the message and not a place we would like to go again. The wine selection is crap but the pours are heavy. The dinner salad on special is $13 (with a 6oz steak add on for an additional $15) but was the size a side plate. No reason there could not have been just more lettuce in it. Charge more for a bigger size even. The steak was proper cooked temp but served lukewarm and no flavor. Same for the kid's meal - lukewarm. She was about sleep on the table before the food came out so she didn't eat much anyway. n the upside, they know how to serve a sandwich, on end, so the bread doesn't get soggy and he said the sandwich was good. Our 3 boys had steaks and they didn't complain though they said it could use some flavor. Then I remembered that you have to ORDER flavor. Why didn't the server ASK any of use if we wanted seasoning on our steaks? We aren't a table full of old people. 3 men in their 20s might want some flavor. Horrible experience and getting worse with each visit. $300 bill I hope someone comes in an shapes up this place. That was ridiculous. Crystal was a fantastic server but I heard she is gone when I asked for her section.
