This is one of our locally owned favorites for cheap eats. Mark's is fast, the quality is just good enough (no homemade ingredients but they cook them well) and the price point is very nice. Try the gyro sandwich- it is stuffed with diced tomatoes, rings of raw white onions and shreds of lettuce. A large cup of zsatziki sauce comes with it, so there is plenty to dip a side of fries into. I enjoy the chicken salad sandwich on wheat, toasted with cheese (it comes with swiss but I always swap for shredded cheddar) and I add tomato slices and lettuce to it. These are my favorites here! They offer sides of onion rings or mozzarella sticks, too. Soup and chili (get it with cheese, onions and sour cream) are always good here. There's a nice breakfast menu with pancakes, eggs, hash browns but nothing too fancy. It is quick, it is cheap and will let you get on your way without hurting your wallet. The call-in curbside service lately has been very convenient and the handwritten notes on the box made us smile--we even got a free extra bag of fries last time! Highly recommend! read more

My friend and I had never been there before so we decided to try it. She had the Cobb salad and I went with a vegetable omelet and raisin cinnamon toast. Was cooked perfectly. I was impressed with sanitizer on each table and individual packets of salt and pepper. Had eaten out very infrequently in past year so felt comfortable there. I have dined at all three Mark's locations. Menu kinda slim compared to Leo's Coneys and Sinbad's Coney in Ypsi. Nice here but definitely not a date night place. Not a hipster doichebag haven, either. Just regular folk eat here. Recommend the wing ding platter. Yum! read more

Will never come back. Walked in, literally in front of another couple, sat down and waited. The other couple was greeted and chit chatted for a few minutes before the server walked off, I assumed to bring us our waters and greet us. I thought it was weird they were greeted first but thought maybe they knew them. He returned back with their water, talked briefly, and left. I again thought when he came back he would come greet us, nope, he came back with his order booklet and proceeded to take their order. My daughter and I made eye contact with all other employees there, so I know we were seen. One server never looked up or moved from her spot at the counter. Another server looked at us and walked off, and the one server who was actually doing something never made any kind of attempt towards us. We left after 5 minutes of waiting and not a peep from anyone on staff, even as we were leaving. There were only 2 or 3 tables occupied when we walked in, so you can't blame it on being busy. Personally, this coney island is one of my favorite places to go. I am literally in there several times a week, and one of the waitresses even asks me right away if I want coffee because that's what I always get. The service is fast, efficient, friendly, and overwhelmingly positive. I've been taking all my friends and family here for years and I plan on continuing. Every one there helps create a positive atmosphere and it feels very home-like. The food is delicious, made quickly and with the best of flavors. Even when there are minor mistakes made, the staff does everything in there power to fix it. One time my sandwich came missing one single ingredient, and the server had the whole thing remade, spoke with the cooks, and gave me my fries without charge. There's a lot of kindness and integrity put into this diner. Always happy to stop by and would recommend it to anyone. Lots of love for this place. read more

Cute place with a big long grill running along one side of the restaurant. Lots of booths and a carry-out business. Seems to be popular with the locals for it was filled with families, businessmen, and people just taking a break in their day. Service is fast, attentive, and unobtrusive. Food is old-fashioned Coney food. My sister's Greek salad was covered in feta, just like she likes it! I had the Italian burger, which was a hamburger on garlic bread, smothered with mushrooms and American cheese and topped with marinara sauce. Make no mistake, you will smell of onions before you are through! You won't mind, however, because the food is good! As good as they are, the acoustic level can get ear-deafening! I think this is the best Coney Island in Michigan. I know many others think they're better but this one has the best chili on chili dogs or omelettes if you're in for breakfast. I can't count how many times I've been to Mark's Coney in Saline but everytime I'm happy. read more

I was just at Marks Midtown Coney Island in Saline MI, and the food and the workers are horrible. When I first got to the counter the cashier was an old white man and immediately when I told him I didn't like the food that I got for takeout( I didn't eat any of the French toast I opened it and was disgusted by it) I asked could I be refunded. He gave me a nasty attitude , glared and kept saying he can't help me. But he helps everyone else and is nice but I'm a black woman and I'm disrespected and not helped. My French toast was soggy and not cooked well, there was tons of egg hardly any bread. I am very disappointed and the man at the counter needs to be fired for his actions. I rate this business a zero I will never go back again unless it's for my refund. read more

We don't eat out often but when we want a good breakfast without breaking the bank, we hit Mikes. Our coffee cups always stay full, the food comes quickly and it's good. Typically we stay under $20 for our family of 4. Decent prices, great specials, good food and it's fast and fresh. read more

The people working here are very friendly and so are most of the customers. The food is good and they are quick with service. There are just two things that they should consider, have a medium coffee to go and taste your own cooking of breakfast, the eggs don't taste like eggs they are cooked in a imitation butter and that's what you taste. read more
