    Maple scone and cappuccino

Saline FINALLY has a good coffee shop! I love the staff- they are super friendly and helpful with food recommendations. My maple scone was nice and flaky and my cappuccino was great as well, not too sweet. Highly recommend! Plus they have yummy food options for breakfast including avocado toast. Pro tip- workout at the new Planet Fitness nearby and then grab some coffee and breakfast at Arise and you are set for the day! I love the local art on the wall and also the tiny sweet bouquets on the tables are all fresh flowers. Such a sweet little spot- will be back!

Delicious breakfast sandwich on Challah and iced coffee.

Arise is a modern, adorable cafe in Saline. I love the atmosphere!! It's cute, uncluttered and they play relaxing but hip music. The staff is fantastic. The food and coffee are always excellent, so fresh and reasonably priced. This is my new favorite coffee shop and cafe. Open from 7 am-2 pm M-F, 8-2 on Saturday. Closed Sunday.

I brought 2 of my kids here on an early weekday before school. It was 7:30, and the display case was full of yummy choices, including cinnamon rolls, muffins, cookies, quiche, and a few other treats. The savory menu on the wall is great and has a nice build your own breakfast sandwich option with a choice of meats and breads. We got 2 egg and bacon on focaccia sandwiches, one with Gouda and the other with cheddar. Both were totally delicious! Fluffy eggs, yummy bacon, the bread was flavorful and moist. I got a latte, which was a favorite, and reminded me of the lattes I used to get at Cultivate in Ypsi. If you know, you know. The kids got Calders chocolate milk and split one between the 2 of them, which was plenty. It's delicious but rich. I also grabbed a Hyperion nitro cold brew out of the cooler. Love that they have that here! Friendly service, prices are affordable, tables to sit at or just carry out, nice sandwich menu with lunch sandwiches I can't wait to try. I wish they were open until 3 or 4pm so I could get sandwiches to take to after-school stuff, but I totally get the hours and it was good enough that it's worth planning ahead to get there earlier.

I like the whole experience and there are so many choices. Being a new Boba tea customer, the staff was very helpful in helping me select a drink. I chose Tiger as a base with Thai and black tea. I like Chai spice, and Thai was a similar taste. There are many toppings to add, and multiple can be added for a truly custom drink. I chose a favorite caramel and the Boba to complete the drink. I went up to the counter to place my order to get advice and suggestions. The kiosk would be handy also. I like the fact that the drink was sealed with plastic, and the straw is thick due to the Boba. The business is clean and spacious, and I could see how it would be good for students completing coursework on laptops or gatherings of friends and coworkers. It is in a strip mall near the Saline Emagine and would be a good place pre and post movie to gather. Thanks Quikly for a great first time experience

The food, though, lands squarely in the "just okay" category. The calamari came with a honey glaze that made them noticeably sweet. If you enjoy sweet‑leaning seafood dishes, you might love it, but it wasn't my favorite combination. The beer, on the other hand, outshines the food by a mile. I had the Heavenly Hefeweizen, and it was excellent smooth, refreshing, and easily the highlight of the meal. I also had the hot chocolate which was tasty and rich, but it comes topped with a giant marshmallow. It looks great for photos, but once you start drinking it, things get messy fast. Service was fine overall, nothing special, nothing terrible. The host, however, came off a bit rude and had us waiting even though there were plenty of open tables. My guess is they're short‑staffed, which might explain the delay, but the attitude didn't help. The bathroom could also use a more thorough cleaning. All in all, it's a nice spot for drinks and atmosphere, but the food and service have room to grow. If you're here for a good beer and a relaxed vibe, you'll probably enjoy it

Our server was quite efficient and pleasant. A bonus was that the manager/owner (?) came over to check on us and have a brief discussion. I had the fish and chips for lunch. I should note here that the restaurant is very accommodating to those who are GF and those who have a few other types of food allergies. As a GF, she really appreciates this. I appreciate the efforts they put into community building and local craft. But none of that is why I'm here... I stopped in on my way to work yesterday to get a cup of coffee and decided I'd better write a review about what I got. Many of the reviews below mention the great coffee that Zingerman's provides. But as a coffee drinker of 30 years, I can confidently say Zingerman's roasts the MOST BITTER coffee I've ever had. I guess it's a product for connoisseurs, but I am a little disappointed they don't have a normal coffee that tastes good. They only have burnt tasting, extraordinarily bitter coffees that make a British IPA beer taste watery. What's up with that? Why no mellow coffee at Zingerman's?? Also, if the cream curdles as soon as I add it to the coffee, I'm grossed out. If I want curds in my coffee, I'll dump some cottage cheese in there. What I prefer is a nice, smooth, creamy cup of drip coffee. There's really nothing better!
