My wife and I went here yesterday. Atmosphere is an older building that doesn't try to hide its character. The are multiple old time decorations scattered around. Not a fancy place but very clean. Owners and staff were extremely friendly. If you choose to engage them with conversation you won't be ignored. Food was prepared promptly and all ingredients were very fresh and tasty. Menu was more on the simpler side but everything I saw was done nicely. Staff definitely wanted to be sure we were satisfied. Limited parking out front but there is parking in the rear. Prices were on the modest side and the value for the price was very good. If your looking for fillet mignon go elsewhere but if your looking for a down home place to get good food at good prices I would urge you to give them a try. Now for the number one question: would I go back. Absolutely. Very comfortable atmosphere, fresh good food at good prices, friendly staff, not sure what more you can ask for. Cute coffee shop in small town Wayne, MI. Good selection of drinks + syrups, great prices & no upcharge for dairy alternatives - what?! I got a 12 oz dirty iced chai tea & a decently sized (delicious) chocolate muffin for only $8, you typically can't even get a drink for that price at other places. The food menu sounded so good but I didn't have time to wait for a bigger order or I would have tried something else, Menu offered wraps, burgers and salads (fries, baked beans and/or coleslaw). The coziest little place! I was feeling like trying out a new coffee shop in the area and this popped up. I saw some of the food on their menu and decided to give them a try. When I got there, I was shocked to see they offered burgers and wraps with sides for under $10! Nowadays, places aren't preparing your meals fresh for no less than $10. I got the chicken nuggets wrap with bacon, cheddar and ranch and the hand cut fries. Delicious! And portions were amazing for the price: I got a mocha latte and it was huge for $3.50. The female employee working there was super sweet with helping me order. Next time I come, I will try a burger. This place is refreshingly different for a coffee shop due to its menu and prices and I will definitely be back! read more

I love the fact that they took an old storefront and repurposed it. My food review is from months ago so hopefully it has improved. I like the menu but it's not as good as it could be. Cappuccino was not as it should have been and small slice of pound cake was microwaved so long that it was literally hard to chew. Service was blah. Forget service with a smile - i got one verbal interaction. "What'll you have?" That was it. No, have a nice day or anything of the sort upon leaving. A friend told me about this place. It's difficult to find & it's easy to pass by even when you're looking for it. I hope they can do something to make it stand out more because it's a gem. You can enter in the front of the store or the back. I see people posting about their limited hours but it's a small business owned & operated by by a couple so you can't expect them not to have down time. You can always Google it to see if they're open & check the hours before you go. I had a burger & it was delicious. We also had pumpkin spice lattes & a cupcake both were amazing. Prices are great especially for fresh made to order. It's cheaper than fast food & ten times better. I definitely will be back. read more

Wonderful place! Super friendly and helpful staff/owners. Food is AMAZING! Fiancé and I both got the sweet bean burger with cole slaw on the side. My sweet bean burger was their new spicy variety. The sweet bean burger is made with pinto beans and sweet potatoes. Never had anything like it! We both agree that this is hands down the BEST veggie burger we have ever had. And we have tried many over the years. We both love cole slaw and also both agree this is the best we each have had. Can't wait to come back and try other items. Although that will be difficult when that sweet bean burger is on the menu! YUM!!!! read more

I really liked the steak burrito and coffee I got here. They're nice people and it was a relaxing, low key environment to sit down and eat something. The burrito came with homemade tortilla chips that they cooked right there in the kitchen, which was nice. Everything's fresh. Only thing is the limited days they're open (Tuesday-Friday), but still, if they're open and you want coffee and a nice breakfast burrito, they're absolutely worth a look. read more

Very nice gem the decor was very nice you can even buy artwork from a local artist. I ordered the chicken sandwich with hand cut fries I really enjoyed it. I did not want the ranch dressing that came on it but I wish I asked them for some hot sauce. I even thought if they served it with maple syrup buffalo sauce would be great. My daughter ordered the Karma Kares for you salad with ranch dressing she was very pleased with the freshness of the salad can't wait to try the next time and I highly recommend it based on our first of many visits read more

Karma is the quintessential American coffee house. It wouldn't be out of place in Seattle or NYC but it's in downtown Wayne. The decor is cute, the atmosphere quiet and calming and the food and coffee fantastic. I've had meals here twice and both dishes were fantastic. My first go around was the Korean bbq steak fries. The toppings were fabulous but what really shines are the fries themselves. They're crisp with a little skin on, salted perfectly and tender on the inside. On my second trip I tried the breakfast burrito. It's generously packed with meat, cheese and eggs with just the right amount of seasoning. The bacon is crisp and pleasing, the eggs cooked without getting rubbery and the flour tortilla chips they give you as a side are crispy and delicious. My only gripe is they aren't open early! read more

I had passed this place many times to and from work and always wondered what it has to offer. My girlfriend and I recently decided to try this hometown small business, this place blew me away! Karma is the highpoint of small businesses that we as foodies should give full support. I tried their Pulled Pork Sandwich with hand cut fries, as well as an Apple Turnover. The sandwich was a bit of a departure from most pulled pork I've had - instead of being a sweet style barbecue, it was much more savory, tied with the home made coleslaw on the sandwich made me melt just as much as that pork. On top of that, the wonderful head chef and co-owner, Dave, delighted me with the experience of explaining his recipe and style of cooking. He and his wife Jennifer run a great show here. My girlfriend decided on their Mac and Cheese with a freshly blended Strawberry Smoothie. Based on how much her eyes dilated when she tried that smoothie, I'd say it went well. With that Mac and Cheese, wow. Dave also explained how he brought the whole dish together and I am very impressed. It was savory with a hint of Kentucky sweetness - were most of his cues come from. I do believe I will be frequenting this establishment in the future, I've never felt more welcomes and at home with a restaurant. tl;dr This is the epitomy of a homely small business and all the fresh, homemade recipes will knock your socks off! read more

Very cute place with nice owners. The prices are a bit high, but I would expect that with a little coffee shop. My only complaint are their hours of operation. A place like this should be open on the weekends. Another place I had hoped to like as I want to support small town businesses. I was at the grand opening event and really liked a few of the samples I tried there - I especially liked the meatloaf. Everything I've had to eat there tastes like home-cooked meal (thankfully not my home cooked meal...maybe my grandma's). Comfort food all the way. The overall interior atmosphere is great - lots of seating and even table with an oversized checker game. The front of business faces a busy road and it is hard to see unless you know its there but they just added a small table with two chairs outside so that should help attract attention. Unfortunately there are more negatives or neutrals than positives: - $2.50 for flavored water that is made in big pitcher is way too steep; especially if no refills and its about a 10 ounce cup. - No wifi. I had hoped to hang out there and work but had to head back home after eating lunch. I felt that this is a hot topic there cuz when I asked, the server immediately turned to the owner to let her say there was no wifi. When trying to hopefully connect to another business's wifi, I saw that you have an employee wifi...please just extend it to public. Heck, change the guest wifi password daily or weekly but offering it would go a long way. - French fries were kinda soggy and no salt at all. I know we all have to cut down on sodium but a little salt goes a long way. Also, I love homemade fries but these were not prepared properly...double frying them will provide the crispness that they need. - My husband and I ate lunch there and the server dropped off two napkins (the kind you buy in a large package from Kmart). That may be fine for others but we are rather messy folk and we ordered a burger and a chopped meal hogie thing (not sure exactly what hubby ordered) so a few napkins were going to be needed. -Exterior in front is cute as can be...but we walked in the back entrance and that was an ugly experience. Garbage cans right by the entrance to the little non-decorated, empty patio-ish area; a possible and dead attempt at gardening right outside the door. read more

I love that there is finally an independent coffee shop with good coffee and dessert near my house. Super friendly staff and very reasonable prices. I will definitely be back! Update- finally came back for food. First of all the staff is so friendly and accommodating! I also love the dishes they use, all different. The food is amazing! Definitely homemade! Great prices and good portions! The fried chicken sandwich was truly amazing, killer cole slaw and French fries and the barbecue sauce on the pork sandwich was excellent!
