The confirmation text didn't come through until we were already inside, which might be bad reception, but it almost cost us the table. Then they sat us right across from the back kitchen entrance. Banging, yelling, and an open doorway into the kitchen. Off-putting, especially with better seating clearly open. The food keeps the rating up. I did not expect a wings place, but the smoked wings were my favorite, right amount of crispy with good smoke. The sauce list is long and I couldn't pick a favorite. The ranch tasted house-made and it was amazing. The chikin soho was the other standout. Honey ginger glaze, chili dijon slaw, and pickles that all work together. Misses: the brisket nachos needed fresh guac and actual brisket, since there was barely any. The 6 cheese mac was fine but not worth ordering again. Prices were right for what it is, a bistro concept. It's in Wayne, which surprised me since I didn't know spots like this existed out here. Wide enough menu that I'll be back. Next time I'm speaking up about the seating.

Great food -- the BEST you'll find anywhere for 10 miles in any direction !!! Very, very reasonable prices, especially the breakfast specials. According to the owner, the secret is fresh food -- everything they buy is FRESH, and it shows !!!! The fish dinners are terrific !!! The salads are so fresh you'd think the Mexican just cut it off the stalk !!! It's location is on Michigan Avenue, two blocks West of the Michigan Avenue and Wayne Road intersection -- just past the old cemetary. It originally was a gas station, then a bunch of pizza joints, so it's small, but WELL WORTH the effort to visit. A lot of Seniors eat there and Seniors are FUSSY. If the food wasn't great, My Place wouldn't get the business. There is another restaurant less than one block away but that restaurant has had to drastically cut back their hours because My Place gets all the local business !! The word on the street is "their portions are bigger". That is very true -- you get a lot for your buck here. The menu is expansive for the size of the place and My Place is much better than any Coney Island you could visit. They have great hours, too. If you are undecided, go to My Place first !!! The current owners completely redecorated what used to be a tired "American Diner" and turned it into a modern and extremely clean upscale family restaurant. This place is so much more than the classic "Michigan Coney" restaurant. The service was the friendliest and most attentive of any family restaurant that we've ever experienced. Unlike our current "regular" breakfast place, the music level was appropriate for its role as background music. Our regular place (which shall remain unnamed) usually plays good "oldies style" music but is quite loud and has more of a concert feel to it making conversation and concentration on the daily newspaper difficult. The breakfast potatoes at this place are still the sliced "American fries" style which we really enjoy over the often tasteless and undercooked "hash browns" served at so many other places. Our breakfast skillet dishes were very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the coffee was hot and strong! We will definitely be back and will probably make this our regular "go to" breakfast restaurant replacing another old standby down the street which we've been frequenting for so many years. Sometimes it pays to get out of your rut and try new places or revisit ones that have changed hands.
