Horrible service. Walked in with my daughter and grandson. Dressed in old worn out clothes as we were on our way to help a friend on a farm. We heard staff arguing over who would serve us. We have absolutely fallen in love with this place! They upgraded their menu and today I got the club omelette, and it was amazing! It had REAL Turkey, bacon, tomato and cheese and was loaded with the ingredients! Their prices are probably the best we have found locally as well. **UPDATE** 09-26-2023 Under new management and my liver and onions was still delicious. I happen to come in almost closing time and to do them a favor I decided to ask for food to go when I was half way done, just so they can clean and go home. I wasn't even close to finishing my drink so wanted my Pepsi to go. Before handing me the styrofoam cup she said just to let you know they charge you .50 a cup. Ok? Didn't know that but I do now. Some really good food our waitress took great care of us Thanks. Started with a Flaming Cheese OPA n Cup of Veggies Soup spot on. She had a Double Smoothered Chicken n Rice Wonderful. Me n Daughter shared the Mega house Burger and House Made unique Hash n Eggs. A cup of really great Sausage Gravy WOW. The bad didn't feel the Love that others talk about, owner on the grill wanted 4 bucks to add a scoop of Loose Burger to Bowl of Chili, he's nuts and never heard of a Chili Special most places have for under 5 Bucks. Charged 5 bucks for Xtra Chicken just likes to charge outrageous prices for additions NOT GOOD. read more

When I first came to this restaurant two years ago I was a manager at the State Wayne movie theater a couple doors down. I stopped in here on my lunch break to grab some food to-go. I ate some soup and a coney dog which was just okay. A couple of weeks later I decided to try breakfast and that's when I fell in love with the place. The parking lot is small and the inside is even smaller, but it is packed everyday for breakfast. Why you may ask? The breakfast prices are pretty cheap, the staff is friendly and the food is good. A simple breakfast that is fast to make and tasty to eat. You can be in and out of the place in 20 minutes if you're in a hurry. I personally like the adventure of getting up early enough to make sure I can get a seat before the rush. Give this place a try! read more

Great breakfast and the specials are till like 1pm. The service is always good,can't say nothing bad about that. Only reason for 4 star is for lack of seating and lack of parking spaces. Wife and I ate at My Place Restaurant yesterday. The chicken noodle soup was solid. However, the chicken parmesan was disappointing. After one bite I was not going to continue. The side of spaghetti was also disappointing. The noodles were overcooked or water logged. Soggy noodles are the worst. I did not eat my dinner. My wife shared her side of fries and coney dog. Tasty fries. However, the coney dog is a standard hot dog and not natural casing. I prefer natural casing. read more

I've only been for breakfast, so that's what I'll review. If you blink while driving down Michigan Ave., you will miss this tiny diner/coney. There are probably less than 10 tables, so I wouldn't plan on coming in with a large group. From what I've seen, they do a good amount of carryout orders with the Ford plant being so close by. So, on to the food.....their $1.99 breakfast special is really good. My eggs, toast, bacon, and hash browns were all cooked exactly how I like them. The restaurant is clean, the waitstaff are super friendly, and the prices cant be beat. I would put the food up there with any of the local coneys, and definitely say they are better than the other places in Wayne. I will update once I've tried the lunch/dinner options. read more

My Place is a small place which was once a gas station just west of the historic State Wayne Theater. I tried the breakfast special along with biscuits and gravy and was very happy with the results. There is a lot of carry out action to the Ford Plant down Michigan Avenue about a half a mile away. OK so here's the deal....When this restaurant first open years ago is was great. You had great customer service, the $1.95 breakfast which was tasty. Now you have not so friendly customer service, the $2.75 breakfast (in which I ordered recently). The scrambled eggs was partially runny, the toast extra dry and nearly burnt, the meat was the same as always, however, the hash browns, wasn't brown as it used to be, now it was rock hard, crunchy, and burnt. I went to this place because my neighbor works there. She told me what good food they had so I tried it. I went for lunch and I decided to have the Julienne salad. The lettuce was crisp and they sure give you enough ham, cheese, and turkey on the salad. And the bread. Oh, my, I love that bread. Contrary to other coney's (not that this restaurant is a coney), My Place actually warms the bread on the grill so it's warm and crisp around the edges. Very good. I've also had their chili dog with fries. I think their chili dog is the best I've ever had. I'm going down for breakfast soon so I'll let you know how it was. BTW - the service IS very good.
