My mom and I came here for dinner a bit ago and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The space is HUGE with plenty of seating, even on a busy Friday. The menu is also expansive with a ton of options from handhelds to entrees, and a ton of starters. We actually decided to split a few of those. We went with the nachos, truffle fries, chicken wings, and spinach dip. First off, the portions were HUGE and I LOVED the fries and spinach dip. The wings were a little underwhelming (tough, maybe a little over done?) and the nachos, though very well portioned, were a little lighter on toppings than we would have liked. But still pretty good! There are a TON of TVs here and different games were playing ( to a different baseball game so if you're into that sort thing you'll dig that (many were tuned to the Tiger's game). Also the covered patio is dog friendly which is nice if you're a dog person! But if you don't want to be around pups I recommend sticking to inside since there were more than a few out there when we visited. Service was a little pokey but pleasant and helpful when we were able to get them over to us. Overall pretty solid, though! I'd be up for getting back there to try some entrees next time and maybe bring our pups with us to enjoy a meal as well. read more

I loved the sleek, modern atmosphere here. Everything was very clean, the service was great, and they have such a huge menu with so much variety. I wanted to try so many things that it was hard to decide! I also love and appreciate how dog friendly they are. Any place that is that welcoming of dogs automatically wins my heart. (If you're not an absolute dog lover, this probably isn't the place for you). The only thing I'd change is having more coffee creamer options. They only had half & half, and I personally prefer flavored or creamier creamers, so I probably wouldn't order coffee here. But that's definitely just a personal preference and didn't take away from the overall experience. I really enjoyed this place and would definitely recommend it! read more

I met a dear college friend here, so I might have been more generous with the star rating. It's probably more a 3.25-3.5, but our visit was 5 stars! The restaurant is on an extremely busy four lane divided highway/street and this restaurant is next to a La-Z-Boy store (to help you spot it). The great news is there is a lot of free and convenient parking at the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, it is a very open floor plan. While there are many TV screens for those sitting near the bar area, it is not disruptive to those in the dining area. The ambiance is casually upscale and pleasant. The outdoor patio areas were closed off due to the hot summer temperatures. There is also a large covered patio-like area where it did not seem that people were seated (or very few). I believe that dogs are allowed there year-round, though there weren't any dogs there during our visit. When the weather is better, dogs are also allowed on the outdoor patio. My friend and I were seated in a comfortable booth and were promptly greeted by our server. My friend is gluten and dairy free and our server was very knowledgeable on how to accommodate these sensitivities. We both ordered the Tuscan Chicken Entrees - I had mine with green beans and mashed potatoes; my friend's sides were broccoli and tater tots. Our server was overall appropriately attentive. My friend found the chicken entree too peppery and I found mine edible but on the edge of being too salty. The chicken was topped with artichoke hearts and feta, which could account for some saltiness. If I came here again, I would probably order something else. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, though it's not anyplace I would run back to. It was a good experience overall, but not for foodies. I was lured in by the fact they have Ace pineapple cider on tap. I ordered the giant one and it was blissful on a Friday night. They have some great drinks here other than cider though too. We started with the mac and cheese balls. Small portion of six and they were bland unless you dunked it into the sauce. Where was the pepperjack? Not bad but not what we were expecting. Dinner itself was fabulous. My husband loved his shrimp tacos. Generous with both protein and toppings. I went with the Ahi tuna California bowl. Huge bowl full of rice, crisp fresh veggies, creamy avocado and a solid portion of perfectly seared tuna. I loved both the sauces and mixing and matching each bite. The halved cherry tomatoes, shedded carrot and crunchy cucumbers really provided that textural contrast and colorful appeal. Yum. Service was fast, accurate and friendly. Atmosphere was very sports bar still but airier and brighter somehow. Plenty of TVs with the Masters on though. We took a prime rib dip sandwich to my dad and a cobb salad to my mom and they were equally delighted. My husbands already thinking about which app we'll try next time. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the food was unbelievably salty and the service was mediocre at best. After taking our order, our server was largely MIA. At one point I had to ask another table for ketchup for my daughter's burger and fries because we couldn't find our server. Two things in particular really bothered me. First, when we finished eating, our plates sat on the table the entire time. We had already asked for a box and ordered dessert, which should have been a pretty clear indication that we were done. Instead of bringing the box or clearing the table, our server brought dessert out to an already crowded table full of dirty dishes. After I asked again, she finally brought the box, but still didn't clear the plates. We ended up reaching over empty, dirty dishes to share dessert. It was awkward, inconvenient, and completely avoidable. The second issue was when I paid with cash. The change was brought back as a $20 bill and a few singles, effectively leaving me with the option of either tipping around 25% or around 5%. As a former server, I almost always tip at least 20% (usually more), but I wasn't willing to leave 25% for this experience. I didn't have any other cash and wasn't willing to wait another 20 minutes for the server to return, so I left the crappiest tip I have ever left in my life, and left. Overall, the combination of meh food and inattentive service made for a disappointing experience, and it's unlikely that I'll return. read more

I am so obsessed with this restaurant. The food is really good. The quality of their meat is notably great. I am a picky eater, especially when it comes to quality of meat, so that means a lot coming from me. I loved that the patio area of the restaurant where they allow dogs is like a legit indoor patio. You can be seated there anytime of the year, it is a fully insulated patio. The waiters are all friendly as well. It's a great atmosphere there! And very clean as well. And what I loved most of all was that you can order food for your pup! Besides the complimentary bacon for all dogs, you can order unseasoned grilled chicken or hamburger patty for your dog. It was a great portion size and looked so good. I've been looking for a restaurant like this for such a long time. No other place I know of does this. I just wish this restaurant was closer to me. Dog friendly! Great service and food! Why haven't I been here?! I learned about Maverick's from another dog mom. Finally checked it out! We were immediately seated on the patio. It's heated so it's great year round. Our hostess and waiter were wonderful. The entire staff at Maverick's is so kind and attentive. After being seated, we were given waters for the humans and for our pup. While we were figuring out what we wanted for lunch, our pup was treated to some bacon. Love that bacon is complimentary for all pups! For lunch, we ordered the California bowl with seared ahi and the prime rib sandwich. Portions are large! The food is delicious. It's always a good time at Mavericks! The food is great - I personally get the grilled chicken sandwich with Cajun fries. Their apps are where they really shine, specifically the nachos, the pretzel, and the flatbreads. No matter how busy they are, and they usually are very busy, the service is always quick and attentive. This is the perfect spot to hang out with friends and grab some good food and drinks! I've been here a few times and loved it. The greatest thing is that they let dogs on their side patio, which is covered/closed in and heated in winter! There's lots of options to bring your dog out when the weather's nice, but this is a great option for colder months. They even bring out a water bowl and bacon for dogs:) The food is great! I've gotten the Tuscan chicken and the ahi tuna salad and both were fantastic. They also have an extensive beer list. Great food and a great alcohol selection for drinks! This was our first stop in a drinking and eating tour tour around the area. It used to be called World of Beers or something like that, so we were excited to see if anything had changed in here from the last time some of us were here. Service definitely seemed to have improved. We all just wanted to get a small bite to eat because we had other stops. It was funny to see that big pretzel still on the menu. We didn't get it because when you take one piece off of it, the whole things falls off the hook. Instead, many of us got tacos and pizza. Been to Maverick's several times but never got around to reviewing it. I had a wonderful late-night meal there tonight with a group of friends coming from a USA Hockey game. The beer was excellent - I had a rare Porter and enjoyed it. My friends had some brews you can't get at most other places in Canton. The server was delightful. Helpful with the menu, quick with refills and offers to help - better than I could have expected from busy staff at 10:00pm on a Saturday night. She warned me the Spicy Korean Chicken Sandwich was going to be spicy - and she was right! I love spicy - and this sandwich delivered. But it isn't for the faint of heart; it got my sinuses rolling for sure. I would order it again in a heartbeat - the slaw on it was an excellent counterbalance to the spice and flavor of the chicken itself. We also had a very pleasing spinach artichoke dip that I would order by the bucketful if I could afford it. The chips that came with it COULD have been a bit more crispy/fresh, but that's a minor qualm. I hadn't been to Maverick's in a year or so, and that's a travesty. I need to get back soon, for the service, the beer list, and the great food. This is a place we're lucky to have here in Canton. read more

It's always a good time going to Mavericks! Myself n my son went here on a Saturday for brunch and it never disappoints!! Our server suggested the apple cider mimosas and OMG they were really good!!! We then ordered the chicken tacos (3) and I ordered the Mahi Mahi Tacos (2) which were really tasty n filling!!! I even forgot to take pictures ‍‍ it's my stomach's fault!! the ambience was good, able to hear one another talk and enjoy the meal!!! Will definitely return!!! I think their menu has a lot of delicious choices, ones that you might not expect to find in a bar/sports bar type setting. Their soups are always delicious and home made.
