This is my second visit and review of Chicane, and it didn't disappoint! I tried the Sunday Brunch menu, actually, I was ambitious and decided to have the "Classic Breakfast" and "Chicane Burger". Three eggs over easy, thick cut bacon, crispy potatoes, with wheat toast and butter and of course, freshly brewed coffee to wash it all down with. The Chicane Burger was "Perfectly Prepared Pink", american cheese, bacon and jalapenos on top, with fries on the side and their burger sauce for both. They keep getting better and better. This time, brunch offered a "Make your own Bloody Mary " bar. So fun and great selections! Also, they keep the area spotlessly clean. The corn beef has is FRESH and tender. The shasuka was spicy and savory and fabulous! I'm not leaving a review for every time I come here or else there'd be 100 reviews but if you're looking for a place to be a regular, Chicane is the place. During a cold snap with wind chills in the -20s, I was waffling between a long-awaited meal with a dear friend or staying home with a good mystery and endless cups of hot cocoa. There was no question, I would see my friend. We had selected Chicane earlier, eager to try the new restaurant in a familiar setting, by the train tracks on Starkweather. This location was formerly Station 885, a restaurant my friend and I visited years earlier, when a toy train ran along tracks around the perimeter, delighting her young daughter. We arrived early, scoring a great table with a view of the large bar, lounge, and stage. The restaurant is glamorous, with gorgeous lighting and attractive furnishings. Musicians entertained the eager and appreciative audience. There are so few places that provide this level of entertainment and hospitality. I had already previewed the menu and was anticipating the meal ahead. The duck sounded amazing and is almost always my first choice. However, the short ribs were tempting, as were the scallops in a coconut curry broth. I went with my first instinct, the duck, paired with a French Onion soup. The medium-rare duck breast was perfectly prepared; I liked the sweet potato puree and slaw accompaniments. Incidentally, the portion was huge. My friend enjoyed her braised short rib, which was on the 2-course supper menu, available before 6pm. For dessert, I went with the chocolate cube. Unfortunately, I didn't even see the banana parfait, which was mentioned in several of the reviews here. Oh, well, I was content. The dessert had a bold, intense chocolate flavor, which paired well with the ice cream's more subtle flavors. I also appreciated the different textures on the plate. Service was fantastic: professional and helpful. Unfortunately, my car died during the cold, and TripleA was unable to help, given the number of people/vehicles in a similar situation. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to find someone (the Executive Chef, who was in the middle of service) to provide a jump; I am so grateful for the gracious hospitality. read more

Came here on a business meeting and had a lovely evening! For starters, access to a parking lot was refreshing in Plymouth, and the interior was spacious and not too loud. Our server Theo was extremely attentive and friendly. Our group split a number of shareables, including the beets, arancini, oysters, and lamb meatballs. All of these were so yummy! For mains I had the coconut curry scallops which were delicious and filling. My colleague loved his lion's mane and patatas bravas. The drinks were also very good and I was so excited to see a lychee mocktail. For dessert, we split the chai crème brulee and an apple dessert that everyone devoured, with the apple being the crowd favorite. read more

Banquet hall attached. Disco balls are set up and ready for NYE. Three cargo trains run right behind the restaurant. Ordered spiced pear smash, last word, lavender berry, Michelob light, Chardonnay, roasted beet salad, Caesar, caldo verde, fried brussel sprouts, roasted chicken, butternut ravioli, mushroom risotto, cheese burger, butter noodles, scallops and creme brûlée. Our portion of the meal was $152.11 The drinks were good. The cranberry focaccia is good, sweet, doughy, billowy and good. The whip of butter is tasty. The dinner roll is slightly sweet, reminds me of Hawaiian roll. The mushroom risotto is okay. The Brussel sprout is a bit bland, could be sliced up into small slices, to make them more crispy. The fish and chips is a grilled bass, potatoes are sliced fingerling potatoes. Wasn't bad. The butternut squash ravioli, roasted chicken, hamburger. The scallops are small, root vegetables are decent. It's okay. Creme brûlée is different with the chai. Service was good. read more

We came to Chicane to celebrate my birthday and enjoy Alexander Zonjic. We made reservations too. Once we got there, we inquired about the high tables in the bar. The hostess said that that those tables were reserved so we were seated in the back at a low top table. Luckily, a group of ladies didn't like their table so the asked to move. I immediately went to the front to ask the hostess if we could switch tables. Although I explained that the table moved, they were not helpful. Luckily, the bartender was our server too. She was able to help us with securing the high top instead of sitting at a low top and not being able to see Alexander Zonjic. The hostess did not inform our server that we were celebrating a birthday so that was a miss for me. We included the details in our resy reservation too. It was a little frustrating to stare at the tables that were reserved all night which no one sat at. Definitely seemed like a disconnect with the hostesses and the rest of the staff. Once we got settled in at our high top, the rest of the night was great. We started off with the bone marrow which is sooo delicious! We kept the bones to take home to our dog. The bone marrow is made with a cranberry sauce and salad. So good! The complimentary bread and butter melts in your mouth. Incredible!! For dinner, my husband and I ordered filets with wild mushrooms. I added Detroit zip sauce to my steak. Chicane knows how to make some great food! For dessert, we order the iced banana parfait. When our server found out it was my birthday, she gave me a cupcake to take home! Minus our experience with the hostess, the night from our service to food is 5 stars! read more

First time at Chicane. Enjoy the ambience and the subtle live music. The owner stopped by to say hello which was a nice touch. Our server was friendly and helpful, but I had too many tables. We waited a long time in between visits. It was clear she was rushing around to many tables working hard. Seems like they need more staff. We started with the spicy lamb meatballs and the bone marrow appetizer. The meatballs are definitely spicy but they were delicious. We recommend them. The bone marrow appetizer was very good but for $20 there should've been at least three bones. I probably wouldn't order it again at that price. They have a nice cocktail and wine list and we certainly sampled both. Everyone's entrée was excellent. Definitely recommend the roast chicken, ravioli, and the Denver steak. I had never had a Denver steak cut, but was glad I tried it as it was so tender and flavorful. I highly recommend it. We also ordered broccolini and crispy potatoes to share. The broccolini was perfectly cooked and the crispy potatoes were delicious and spicy which we enjoyed. For dessert, we shared a banana parfait. It was pretty good, but I don't think I'd have it again. We also had a couple of Irish coffees which were delicious. Overall, the food was excellent, but just be aware, it's a very expensive restaurant for the area. read more

I went to Chicane recently for brunch. On this visit, we got another Cinnamon Roll. This is an absolute must, even though it is huge and I can't eat much more after that. We tried the Croque Madame and the Chicane Burger. Of the two sandwiches, I like the Croque Madame better, and would order it again. The burger wasn't anything special, and I think I would chose something else next time. read more

Second time at Chicane. This place is a paradox for me. On the negative... I don't get the vibe. Disco ball, old school middle aged party vibe trying to be fine dining. But.... The food! Every single thing we ordered was great. Filet, short rib, beat salad, scallops, and Brussels. Delicious! Only the glazed carrots felt average. The wine menu was reasonably priced too. It was a nice touch for the owner Don to come over and check on us. He's done that both of our visits. I like Chicane a lot and will be back. But I would love it if they fixed the vibe. read more

I didn't take pictures because it was a business meeting but I needed to let my Yelp family know this is a new business that has great food, drinks and cozy higher end atmosphere. The owner came around and visited with every table. He was a kind gentleman and was very genuine and professional. We ordered 2 Steaks, Lamb shanks , sides of Brussel sprouts, broccoli and French fries. Everything was tasty and made to perfection. Our drink orders consisted of tequila siesta, old fashioned, champagne spritster and scotch. All tasted and finished well. Great wait staff and bartenders. Very welcoming and made sure all or needs and wants were met. Finally, the best part of the evening was the desserts. The desserts were the best I've ever had anywhere I've ever eaten everybody at their table was raving. Our compliments to the bartenders the weight staff and especially the dessert chef. As a preface, we came to chicane on a busy Friday night where they were also hosting a private event. Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow. Our server did not recall to put in our drink orders a couple times and did not bring us the bread service until I noticed other tables with it and asked about it. On the bright side, the entrees we ordered were phenomenal. The roast chicken had a hearty portion and great flavor. One of the best roast chickens I have ordered at a restaurant. The duck was meaty and I liked the pairing of the miso with the spicy slaw for balance. This is a wonderful dinner place in Plymouth. Very elegant, with a large open dining room and very comfortable tables. Looks wonderful, and it is. Live music tonight was perfect. Our table of 8 enjoyed everything. Our server, Grace, was wonderful. The several appetizers, shared sides, and entrees were all excellent. The steaks and bass were amazing. Nicely presented. I stumbled upon this modern restaurant and was left like how did I not know this was here! Beautiful atmosphere, nice light-live music was playing. The service was superb, all team members were personable and had good conversations, not to mention my water glass was always topped off. The owner was friendly and gave me recommendations. I really enjoyed their unique cocktails! I tried the Chicane burger which was a high quality blend- chuck, brisket, and short rib. I was inquired to check out the private dinner party space that are stunning and I was told there is a patio. All in all, I will be back soon! I couldn't get the idea of Station 885 out of my head. A place I frequently went to. What a difference. Food was good but temperature of food not good. Had the perch - was not lukewarm. Tasted okay but obviously was held on the rack too long. Atmosphere was cold. A lot of tile and blue light. And the chairs, why so heavy? Service was good. The live music was a plus. Will I go back? I had an event at Chicane early in their opening and had several meetings to ensure the event food would be plentiful. We chose a plated meal as it served our function the best. Unfortunately, I was left very embarrassed in front of my guests on the day of the event when the "main" dish was served and portions smaller than an appetizer came out. The main dish was supposed to be chicken, a vegetable and a starch. It was served on a small salad plate with a dollop of starch, two sprigs of asparagus and in some cases only a wing on the plate. The meals of chicken fingers we had planned for the children were twice the size as the adults meals. I would encourage anyone who is planning a party here to ensure they show pictures or preview the meal beforehand. read more

We had a wonderful experience here, service was good, the duck spectacular and the scallops, while not hot were tasty. Be sure to peek into there event space. It is lovely. The place is nicely appointed inside and out, but the atmosphere is kind of stuffy and cavernous at the same time. The waitstaff were all very friendly, attentive, and nice, as was the sommelier. They have live music, but the person doing the sound needs some direction because it was very distorted and strange. Granted the room is big, with not many soft surfaces to absorb sound, so it is harder to dial it in, but that's also what needs to be done. Also, if you're going to have music, it needs to sound right, and actually be loud enough to hear it. What's the point otherwise? The food was alright. The chicory salad was delicious, and the potatoes were good, but what they called "arancini" were rock hard and dry. The romesco sauce it was served with was tasty, but had nothing to do with arancini. And the creamed spinach was a gelatinous blob of over-thickened roux, with some bizarre breadcrumbs on the top. It was an abomination against all leafy vegetables. There was also this kind of unwelcoming atmosphere. It's hard to put my finger on it, because it wasn't from the waitstaff at all, but like only certain people should be there or something. I don't know. And there is the 3:10 to Yuma that roars by like twice an hour, which would be cool if the place were hip instead of trying too hard to be upscale, and leaned into it more, but it doesn't, so it's just kind of a frightening nuisance. I want to start off saying this was a hard review to make. There were a lot of positives but I couldn't quite give it 4 stars. We were a party of four coming in with a reservation on the Saturday of Valentines weekend. We expected it to be busy and were totally ok with it. The hostesses greeted us right away and sat us by the bar/entertainment stage. We were worried it would be loud- but the music was at a perfect volume to still enjoy a conversation. Our server was friendly and greeted us quickly. We asked about a cocktail menu and were told they didn't have everything in stock so they weren't sharing the menu at the time. This was a bit disappointing as we were celebrating a 21st birthday. We decided on wine and beers for the table. For appetizers we decided on the grilled prawns and a dozen oysters. We also got the French onion soup. All were good, but the shrimp only came with 3- that would have been nice to know before ordering. I decided on the chicken. My step daughter the NY strip, stepson went with the bolognese and my fiancé chose the prime rib. We got Brussels and roasted potatoes. My chicken was great. I loved the presentation with the potatoes, beets, and kale. The table was disappointed with the beef. Both the strip and prime rib were overdone and lacked flavor- especially the prime rib. Beef is hard to get perfect, so normally this wouldn't affect my review as much but the cost of this dinner was very high. With high prices comes high expectations and unfortunately ours were not met. read more

If you remember Station 885 this is nothing like that. They did a nice job with the remodel, and it is totally different. If you are looking for a special occasion night out this is a good choice. We had an app, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks each. Food and service was very good! With tip it was $275.00 so it is not for the faint of heart. It is high end for sure. It will probably be a once-a-year type place for us. A good addition to Plymouth, but a 10 dollar cover charge seems a little tacky. The live band was great and still provided a nice dining experience as the music was not too loud to have a co version over dinner. We have already planned our return visit. I have been to Chicanes 2x now. The music/entertainment has been wonderful both times. The Neil Diamond performer for my first visit and the jazz band on my second were both pleasant background music during our dinners setting the perfect vibe. The hostess and waitstaff have all been friendly and knowledgeable. Just hoping for a fun cocktail/mock-tail menu to come soon! For our dinners we have tried a variety of things such as the beet salad, the Winter Chicory salad, the seasoned potatoes, the pork chop, the roasted chicken, the Brussels Sprouts, Mushroom Risotto, and the Arancini. All have been bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. For dessert you can't go wrong with the crème brûlée or lemon tart! Chef 's kiss to end the night! I've had the pleasure of dining at Chicane twice now, and each visit has been excellent. The ambiance is elegant, warm, and inviting, with a supper club vibe that makes it feel unique. During both visits, the food was outstanding. I highly recommend the pork chop, which is by far the table favorite. The wood-grilled steaks are among the best in town. The pasta dishes were excellent as well. We did not try the fish dishes, so we cannot provide feedback. For a new restaurant, the service was quite good. My squabbles are on the smaller side (they were still creating the cocktail list, missing some items etc.), and overall, it was a great experience and one worth trying. read more
