160 Main is one of those spots that always delivers. This time we tried the tasting menu with chashu pork, carbonara, lamb, and apple pie for dessert. Everything was great, but the lamb continues to be a standout--my family loves it, and it's one of the few places where I really enjoy ordering lamb too. The tasting menu was fun to experience, but next time we'd probably order à la carte since we were debating getting the scallops (which are a must here). It's definitely on the higher-end, more upscale side, but worth it. Service is always excellent, the staff is kind, and the inside is super cute and inviting. read more

Fantastic menu and nice ambience for date nights or families. We thought it was going to be a bit more upscale based on outside appearance but it draws in a varying demographics. We started off with the yummy bread basket and seafood trio. The shrimp and oysters were lovely but the lobster tails were a bit tough. The dipping marinara, cocktail sauce and vinegar based sauce were also delicious. We enjoyed our pasta dishes rigatoni spicy vodka with meatballs, and fettuccine with beef (filetto). Ended with a nice strong espresso and crème brûlée - they had the thicket brûlée layer I've seen and it was SO good. Nicely topped with raspberry sauced too. This place was excellent. It was my first time in tonight - I was meeting a friend and she chose it. We split the artichoke appetizer, which is almost like a chicken piccata but with artichokes, and also the pappardelle al funghi (a mushroom pasta) and the chicken limone. I had looked on Yelp beforehand and saw that the chicken dishes (Marsala, etc) didn't come with sides, so it worked out to split these. They even served the chicken limone on two dishes for us, which was super nice. We were both a bit full for dessert but the dessert tray enticed us - there's an option to do 3 or 4 mini desserts. We got the tiramisu (my favorite), Panna Cotta, and cannoli. Our server was Elise, if the check is correct, and she was also very good, checking on us a good amount. There were a few others who came by with water refills so we were never lacking for water, too. Even with all that food (and two waters, no drinks), it was only $40 per person, which I found very reasonable for an appetizer, two split entrees, and a dessert platter. They let my friend try two wines before I got there, too, although she didn't end up purchasing one (wasn't a fan of either), which is also a nice initiative. read more

Tipped our waitress in cash (with copy of receipt where you can visually see the amount WE SIGNED FOR) and when balancing check book noticed an additional $35 charge added to our total. With several dietary issues, our group required a LOT of assistance and advice. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We needed a carry-out for health reasons but wanted to celebrate our friendship with a nice meal. Everything we ordered was prepped and packaged nicely. All arrived at the correct temperature. Best of all, the food was delicious! All of us found the salmon, the antipasto Italiano, and the crème brûlée dessert outstanding. Was able to snag a Friday 5:15pm reso on short notice. Highly recommend the front booth for dining. Best seat in the house. Perfect spot for date night, double date or dinner with friends. The good: the ambiance & food. Warm bread & dipping sauce to start, excellent! Charcuterie ($26) was fantastic, perfect portions to share & start off with. Paired well the Pinot Grigio. The pappardelle with mushrooms entree ($24) was my fave. The chicken Marsala ($22) was my friend's preference. Everything was cooked perfectly. The bad: we showed up to a lineup outside the door. You walk inside & the restaurant isn't even packed. Just mismanagement and sloth like pace at the host stand. Then our host who seated us, ended up waiting on us? My wine came after my charcuterie did. Big no no. Especially since I ordered it first. And the bar was directly next to me with only a few patrons seated. The service was so shotty. They really need to work on it. It's unorganized & unprofessional. I asked for a to go box and the server/host dude took my food. Never came back with it. When I asked where it was when we cashed out, he said it was ready in the back. 20 minutes later, I got my to go box. This was AFTER we paid. Really bad service. Also, not a fan that the chicken Marsala and Limon ($22) are served a la cart. No pasta or potatoes, nada zip zilch. Just your meat. Beware! The servers at this restaurant have a tendency to overcharge tip! I dined here on July 18, 2024 and suspected the final charge on my credit card was higher than the amount on my credit card statement. So on Aug 29, I revisited and took a photo of the "merchant copy", and to no surprise the amount charged to my credit card was higher than the amount I agreed and signed to pay. I was able to dispute this charge and get the difference from my credit card company but hopefully the manager takes note of this issue before someone files a Fraud complaint with FTC. read more

Environment was nice but extremely loud - no noise dampening. Drinks were overpriced. Food was just OK - also overpriced. The bread and cracker sticks only came with red sauce - butter or oil would have been better. The red sauce on one dish was similar to "no sugar" store bought sauce. One person built their own pasta dish - just noodles and butter - and received about a cup of penne for $22. Entrees do not come with salad or soup. Chicken marsala does not come with even a tiny side of pasta. Disappointing that we were there for a birthday celebration and no birthday desert. Service was good, not fast, but there were a lot of people taking care of us. Dirty water glass (chunk of food stuck to inside) was not a great start, either. I also will say it depends who you get as my friends had a different experience with a different server. The drinks took a very long time and didn't come out until our food did. We were not even asked if we wanted more drinks before we were given the bill. Asked several times for things like oil for the bread, it was forgotten twice. We were lucky to get a reservation one recent Saturday evening; on a previous impromptu drop-in, the restaurant was packed. My friend was celebrating a birthday and she had been curious about and eager to try this Italian spot. The beautiful place sits to one side of our welcoming town square. I like the two-story building, striped awning, and distinctive façade. The street was closed off to music goers, adding to the overall ambiance. Inside, the bar area was full but not packed. I liked two stories-tall bar with an eye-catching feature made up of pieces of concrete from the ceiling. The menus are interesting here. There is an ever-changing 4-course tasting menu, one for bar bites/happy hour, and of course, the dinner menu. We started with a small bread basket - yes, I actually had the sesame-crusted bread. Carbs! It's been too long and I indulged. We asked for olive oil/ balsamic mix for dipping. We shared the crab cake bites appetizer, as well as the beet salad. I liked the lump crab meat lightly coated with panko crumbs and pan-fried. Paired with the ammoglio sauce, it was terrific. As for the beet salad, the kitchen made individual portions of it and served it with pecan-crusted goat cheese balls. Yum. I had initially wanted to try the branzino but it was sold out the evening we were there. The branzino listed on the tasting menu was still available though. Instead, I had the swordfish, one of my favorites, prepared Livornese style. The small swordfish, topped with tomato sauce, rough-chopped olives, and capers, was bold and flavorful. The thick pieces of toast were useful for sopping up the sauce. I was hesitant to have dessert since I already had more than enough carbs from the bread. However, the panna cotta sounded so good and it was my friend's birthday if I have to have an excuse. The firm pudding had a nice firm texture, was creamy smooth, and had a bit of a jiggle. Our server was friendly and engaging. The restaurant manager checked in on us a few times during our meal which we appreciated. read more
