Still a great and unique place. My only bummer is still the lighting. I'm all for ambiance but when it's so dark EVERYONE (young and old) pull out their phones for the flashlight, it's annoying and it then ruins your experience. Food and drinks are still top quality.

I had such a lovely time at The Ebenezer on New Year's Eve! This spot is an absolute gem, perfect for a cozy date night or just unwinding with friends over drinks. The interior is beautifully decorated, with a vintage speakeasy vibe that just oozes charm. I highly recommend making a reservation, though. This place fills up quickly!

I keep coming to this restaurant because everything is amazing in this cozy beautiful restaurant. The food which is basically appetizers are great, the entertainment is enjoyable when they have some live music, and the staff is always wonderful.

It was one of my girlfriend's birthday and we had dinner and then decided to end the night at the Ebenezer. I heard about the Ebenezer for years but this was the first time that I had a chance to visit. The Ebenezer is a speakeasy with no password required. A little challenging to find until you find it. The light in the space is extremely dim. But the Vibe is uplifting and unexpected when you enter. There was a DJ on the night were there which was a Friday. They do have a food menu but we did not eat here. We only had a few drinks both cocktails and mocktails for our crew. The mocktail was very interesting and well composed. Music was a little loud. So not really an "easy" relaxing lounge type environment...but certainly something that makes you think you could be in a bigger city than Plymouth, Michigan. I'll certainly visit again.

New menu when bartenders get overwhelmed or after 10pm

My husband and I made reservations specifically to try the new clarified rye drink, the Michigan Sour. Our reservations were at 9pm so well before the new change over of the late night drink menu. We came to the Ebenezer last week after the Ledger and learned about the new drink menu but since it was after 10pm, we couldn't order it. As a local we come here often, it wasn't a big deal to come back except our service was slow. By the time our server came she told us that the bartenders were overwhelmed and they were switching to the late night menu even though it wasn't 10pm. We tried to order the Michigan Sour and we were told no. We love supporting small business, but wow... what's going on here?! We use to love this bar, but with all the rules and not being able to get the drinks we came for? Very disappointing.

The Ebenezer is a speak-easy inspired restaurant underneath the Ledger. My cousin and I tried to go to the bar, but this place is definitely a popular destination, so I'd recommend getting there early or being prepared to wait if you want a seat! They also have plenty of tables that you can reserve. Near the bathrooms in the cabinet room, there are a couple of chairs/tables that are first-come, first-serve (they still have a waiter), and it's much quieter than the rest of the restaurant! This is where I ended up sitting, and it was great! As far as the drinks go, they are delicious and very unique! I ordered the Malbec, which was delicious and dry, and my cousin ordered the "Two Sizes Too Small", which was AMAZING (and I tend to shy away from cocktails because of how sweet they can be). We will be back!

Great little Speakeasy in downtown Plymouth. I had the Brown Derby and the espresso martini. I highly recommend both. My friends had Blushin Betty, I think, and a smoked Old Fashioned. Finally, when my friend's husband arrived, he git the Ebenezer. Cool drink AND delicious! Also, our server was excellent and I didn't make myself a note to recall her name.

Go now! We got here when they opened at 4pm on a Friday and glad we did. By 430, it started to bring in a crowd. I can't rave about this place more. The moment you open the door, you step into the roaring 20s and prohibition. Marvelous cocktails; I highly recommend the old fashioned and Tequila Mockingbird. I couldn't stop looking at the seating options and decor. I can't wait to return and try the food! TIP: Snag a reservation via Open Table.

    Careful what you wish for

Very cool atmosphere but really loud. The vibe of the place seems like they wouldn't be blasting EDM but overall chill. Love my drink (Careful what you wish for) it was so unique and herbal. Service was good.

the ambiance is 1000/10. I love how classy this place is! The drinks were good and very aesthetically appealing. I got the rosé martini and it was nice and sweet. They even put a bubble in it too, pretty cool! The service was good and the bartender was very helpful with his recommendations. Overall, a 10/10 place to have date night!

I highly recommend this spot ! My friends and I were looking for a new spot to try and came across the Ebenezer. First I recommend reservations.. and get there a little early because parking In downtown Plymouth is a little crazy. Try to find a spot in the parking garage that's in fleet because it puts you right at the entrance ! Other than that it is a little difficult to find ! The ambiance it this place is a cool vibe, our waitress was amazing ! Do be aware that you have a limited amount of time at your table because of other reservations. However our waitress was nice enough to let us sit at a table nearby to finish our drinks until another party came. The food was good. I had the wings and Brussels .. I was disappointed they had not buns for the brisket sliders so I didn't get those. Drinks are strong as well. I'll definitely be back !

Super cool speakeasy vibe, great for a sexy date night. My wife and I split several cocktails and a charcuterie board. Everything was delicious, but the the highlight was the smoky drinks they make with a giant bubble over the glass -- I wish I could remember the name, but if you ask the servers, they'll tell you what those are. My only complaint are that it's too dark and too loud -- we had to use our cell phones to light the menus, and it was difficult to hold a conversation.

There was no question, I would see my friend. We had selected Chicane earlier, eager to try the new restaurant in a familiar setting, by the train tracks on Starkweather. This location was formerly Station 885, a restaurant my friend and I visited years earlier, when a toy train ran along tracks around the perimeter, delighting her young daughter. We arrived early, scoring a great table with a view of the large bar, lounge, and stage. The restaurant is glamorous, with gorgeous lighting and attractive furnishings. Musicians entertained the eager and appreciative audience. There are so few places that provide this level of entertainment and hospitality. I had already previewed the menu and was anticipating the meal ahead. The duck sounded amazing and is almost always my first choice. However, the short ribs were tempting, as were the scallops in a coconut curry broth. I went with my first instinct, the duck, paired with a French Onion soup. The medium-rare duck breast was perfectly prepared; I liked the sweet potato puree and slaw accompaniments. Incidentally, the portion was huge. My friend enjoyed her braised short rib, which was on the 2-course supper menu, available before 6pm. For dessert, I went with the chocolate cube. Unfortunately, I didn't even see the banana parfait, which was mentioned in several of the reviews here. Oh, well, I was content. The dessert had a bold, intense chocolate flavor, which paired well with the ice cream's more subtle flavors. I also appreciated the different textures on the plate. Service was fantastic: professional and helpful. Unfortunately, my car died during the cold, and TripleA was unable to help, given the number of people/vehicles in a similar situation. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to find someone (the Executive Chef, who was in the middle of service) to provide a jump; I am so grateful for the gracious hospitality.
