Decided to check this spot out because they were hosting music bingo that night. Nice interior, friendly atmosphere easy location to find off Telegraph. Ordered drinks & snacks. We got the loaded fries & fried pickles. Both were tasty for bar food, wait staff was kind & attentive. This is a good spot for a midday drink. I stopped in here with a big group in between a wedding ceremony and reception. We had a blast! I was able to hook up to the TouchTunes, get a drink quickly, and order some good apps. Great local watering hole that's welcoming. read more

I live in the neighborhood so I've frequented this bar enough times to write a review. I've never experienced good service here, the servers act annoyed if you ask for another drink?? The food is meh, nothing to write home about. The time I was here I walked in with my bf and it was almost empty inside but there was a server so we sat down, we ended up having to walk up to the bar to order drinks because the server never came to wait on us. The ambiance and crowd seems to be a lot of regulars and I get the feeling they get top priority. I really have given this bar so many chances, and they fail everytime, which sucks because it's right down the street. I drive out of my way to other establishments because I'd rather not walk in this place ever again. I guess their regulars keep them afloat, because they dont seem to care about new customers coming back. read more

Came on a Friday night to have a quick drink. Jacob and I immediately noticed the "bro" crowd and the crazy-loud music. We had to scream to talk to one another. We sat down at a table in the middle of the place and looked around desperately for a server. None ever came to us, so when a couple seats at the bar opened up, we sat there. I ordered a cocktail, Jake got a pint of Killian's. My drink was $5.50, which was a rip-off because the drink was weak and they made it a tall even though I didn't ask for it that way. We couldn't wait to finish our drinks. The horrible loud music and the obnoxious crowd were enough to turn us off, but the bartender wearing a belly shirt in the middle of winter was probably the nail in the coffin. read more

I went here a week ago and my experience was eh. It's a fine neighborhood bar I guess. They charge way too much for a neighborhood bar though. Over $6 for a drink? I guess I am used to 3 or 4 dollar drinks. I ordered the pizza sticks and they were disappointing. Also the bathrooms. They are so small and not ADA compliant at all. Only 1 stall has a door on it. The other is wide open. They have a sign that says: "we know our bathrooms suck, thanks." If you know, then fix it!!! It's a fine place for a quick drink with a friend, but I wouldn't waste my time going here. read more

Kelly's is a divey bar with a light Irish atmosphere. Beer selection is OK, whiskey selection looked robust. Now let's talk to food. I chose the Ruben sandwich (Irish Pub right). Although they implied it was made in house I have my doubt. The corned beef was cut way too consistently and tastes processed. I saw the waitress taking sauerkraut out of a "food service" bucket and warm it on the grill. Although the sandwich was ok. I wasn't impressed. Frozen French fries .... I won't say more. Ugh, yuck, and never again! Took some work friends out for a Friday night. They were from out of town and wanted a local bar experience. About 10 minutes in, realized we may have made a mistake but decided to give it a shot anyway. Kelly's was dark, stupid loud, crummy mixed drinks, meh beer selection, uninspiring greasy bar food. VERY questionable cleanliness. And then--they asked to hold our debit/credit cards?! Who goes here? People with questionable character or sketchy credit? We're working professionals and expect to pay after the meal when the bill is due. Would give a zero if I could. read more

I've been here enough times to give them a fair evaluation. I just don't like Kelly's. It's a locals bar, but not in a good way. Mostly dudebros and middle-aged men drinking bud light and playing awful music on the jukebox. Bartenders are the skinny, under-dressed type you'd expect from a sleazy dive (don't let the building's nice exterior fool you), but they do alright. Haven't had any food. Nothing to get excited about on tap. Prices are middle of the road. I really only come here when I'm meeting up with people who are already there and don't want to go somewhere else. read more

Came in here on a Thursday around happy hour to kill some time before my kids powderpuff football game at DC. We sat down and the bartender came over and asked us what we would like to drink and if we wanted food. We ordered a couple beers and a couple apps. The menu is small and it's essentially deep fried apps and burgers/sandwiches - you know, BAR food - like you would get in a BAR. Beer was cold and the deep fried cheese sticks tasted like deep fried cheese sticks. It's worth noting that there were probably 20 people in there, including us and the bartender was it for front of the house and she did a great job. Nobody was ever left wanting for anything and she handled drinks and food and keno like a champ all by her lonesome. We went to another bar after the game that had a bartender and 4 servers and our service was terrible. If you have reasonable expectations of what this place is and are fine with that, you will be hard pressed to find something wrong with Kelly's. Get in, get some beers and get on your way. If you come in here expecting to be presented with a linen napkin and served out of a chalice this probably isn't your kinda place. I personally like to rate places for what they are, not for what I hope for them to be. I'd come back for sure. read more

I've been to hundred's of Irish pubs around the world, this is the first Irish pub that doesn't serve Guinness on tap! They had American beers on tap, (bud and bug light..) i just don't understand why they don't have Guinness on tap.. still confused. The bar tender lady is nice and friendly, she also the chef. Gave her extra tip in hope it will contribute to the funds to have Guinness on tap. The pub it self however did have the Irish feel to it which was good. read more

I don't understand why this place has some back reviews either but me and my buddy came here for lunch and we love the nice warm atmosphere the bar had. The bar stools we're very comfy. The bartender was very friendly. I had the party melt with chips and it pretty good for bar food. We also had the mini corn dogs and the pretzel stick and they were also really good. This bar recently changed hands and reopened in July 2012. The place has been nicely spruced up with new tables, flooring, paint and looks nice inside. They now have Guiness on tap (as well as Killian's). They really need to revisit their pricing structure, though. I think the new owners have forgotten that this is a neighborhood bar - not a destination hot spot. The cost of a Michelob Ultra was $3.50 on an early Saturday afternoon while the bar was mostly empty. I'm told that premium drinks (Captain and Coke) are over $5 a piece. They don't serve food anymore, at least not yet. Although, the bartender made popcorn and told me to help myself. Speaking of the bartender, she had zero personality and wasn't all that grateful for our business. I would suggest bringing friends if you're hoping to have someone friendly to talk to as you enjoy your beer. A friend of mine (former regular of the bar) also visited recently. They attempted to introduce themself to one of the owners, saying "Hi, are you the owner?" The response? "That's what they f****n call me." Nice. So, maybe it's a little early to judge this place. I hope they will re-evaluate some of the decisions they've made so far and make this back into a great neighborhood place. Right now, it isn't. read more

Kelly's has been around a long time, and it's been 20+ years since I've been in. I was there for a friend's mom's Irish Wake, and they were sweet and attentive. It's been remodeled and has an outdoor patio space I can't recall, but due to the fact I was overserved the last time I was there, it may have been there and I just didn't recall. Plenty of choices on tap and behind the bar. Acoustics make for a loud place, but it's definitely a good stop if you are in the area. read more

Recently under new ownership, Kelly's has seen some badly needed updates. I'm not sure that they really need a DJ here like they had on Saturday night but they do have a grill going now and the place feels less cluttered. I miss using the back service door to enter the place tho. read more

Well, this is more of a guys bar than an Irish Pub. It kind of has a "good ol boy" atmosphere and the guys like it that way. It's a good place for guys to laugh, shout and holler during the televised sports games and a good place to laugh, shout and holler when there are no games. The most popular drinks are probably Miller Lite and Bud Lite. Nobody ever asks for Guiness on tap. You won't hear Irish music and you won't dance the Irish Jig. The guys who frequent this bar "pub" want no part of either one. read more

We had a party at Kelly's for approximately 30+ people. The owners and staff bent over backwards to help us out and take care of all of the guests. Everyone was impressed with the atmosphere and service. We would highly recommend Kelly's. You'll have a great time! read more

Although the place looks a great deal better than it used to, I'm not a fan of the new atmosphere. As I've read in prior reviews, the new management seems to forget that it's a "neighborhood" bar and not a club. The waitstaff leaves something to be desired in the class department. read more
