I had Some delicious Asian chicken bites and a side of fries and my beverage was a Bon Voyage. The side of fries came out first, parts of the dish were undercooked, needed two more minutes frying. The chicken bites were the opposite, very hard and crunchy. They were tossed in sauce, but it didn't soak in. They were tasty though. Lots of sesame seeds. Yummy. The Bon Voyage was the highlight. I always see this place and I love the name...I finally tried it one day for a quick drink. Very aesthetic inside and the drink I had was delicious. There is plenty of parking the back so you shouldn't have any trouble parking. It was very very clean. A little more upscale inside than I was anticipating so I do think I was a little underdressed. When I went they were not super busy and I just sat the bar. The service was fast and the drink was great. Priced typical for an upscale bar. Unknowingly went on a night that they were hosting an event. Upon walking in we were offered either tickets to the event or regular seating on the covered patio. We opted to sit outside, the patio was very nice. They even had a heater set up since it was slightly chilly. We ordered whipped feta dip and buffalo chicken rolls (a suggestion from one of the employees). Both were delicious. We also tried the bulgogi beef sandwich, while the meat and other fillings were delicious, the bread was a bit thick for our liking. I tried the lavender cloud drink and it's probably my new favorite cocktail. My husband tried two whiskey based drinks (one not even the menu, that the bartender came up with) and he enjoyed both. Our server was friendly, as was the rest of the staff that we interacted with. Overall, this was a great date night spot! read more

Service was excellent! We wanted to check this place out & had a great time! The bartenders were both very attentive and kind. The restaurant is larger than we expected and has outdoor patio seating for when the weather warms up! There is a large bar (maybe like 12 chairs??) with comfortable seats and hooks for purses- I appreciate that! We enjoyed a couple of the happy hour drinks (Sunset Bliss with Rum- sweet & Sangrita) and had to try a drink on their regular menu. The chicken schwarma rolls were so cute, pretty good too! After a second visit, I have to update my review as the service was exceptional, yet again. Our server, I failed to get her name, was lovely and attentive and gave fantastic recommendations. We ordered SO MUCH FOOD! Shishito peppers Ahi tuna Falafel sliders Beef sliders Shawarma rolls BBQ chicken flatbread Chicken, Strawberry, Goat Cheese flatbread ...and one of each dessert. Every bite was exceptional! My guy Mohammed was there again, and I thanked him again for his assistance earlier in the week. The owner, Jad, recognized one of my friends as a former classmate, so he came and socialized with us for a while. He shared with us an exceptional shot of tequila, which we all enjoyed so much that we ordered another round. (And took a pic so we knew what to buy at the store!) There was a DJ starting at 8pm that was alarmingly loud while we were trying to socialize, but the more the drinks flowed, the more we enjoyed it! He played GREAT music and the vibes were immaculate. The atmosphere of the Bartisan gave off a swanky vibe - Nice, without being over the top. My husband and I tried 3 items on the menu. We got the shishito peppers, the loaded waffle fries, and the chicken shawarma rolls. Of the three, I liked the shishito peppers the best. They had a great flavor, and the sauce complemented them well. I did like the waffle fries, and these were my husband's favorite. The portion was huge, and we only finished about half of them. The chipotle ranch was a real highlight. Both of us were unimpressed by the shawarma rolls. The chicken was dry, and the wrapping had a cardboard-like texture. I wouldn't order this again. We came here for my girlfriends bday and her dads bday, both celebrated in the same night. Overall was good but the service was a bit spotty and we had some ingredients missing. One of the newest bars and restaurants in Plymouth! Located near Downtown Plymouth on Ann Arbor Road next to Red Olive. Ample parking! Great option outside of DTP! The restaurant is spacious and well designed! There is a space for live music too! This restaurant opened about 3 weeks ago. Nice to see how busy it got! We came here with friends so we were able to try more small plates. Small plates, but portions are so big! Great for sharing. I ordered the dusty rose to start. Tequila based cocktail with a rose ice cube. Love the attention to detail! For small plates, we ordered the Hawaiian chicken skewers, baba ganoush, caprese flatbread, avocado egg rolls, and the waffle fries. So much food for the four of us. We ordered many of the drinks on the menu. So good! The bartisan is smoked with blueberry jam in the ice cube. Since the restaurant is new, they are working out new business kinks. Went for happy hour on a Friday. Party of two ordered wine and two appetizers to share: the shawarma bites and beef nachos. Food was just so-so the nachos were puny and had no distingueshing flavor. The shawarma bites were a little better; the "sauce" was flavorful but had a watery consistency that was just wrong for dipping! Atmosphere: trying too hard for swanky with the dark decor but with a huge tv in pride of place on the back wall. This was our first visit here. We arrived at 5pm for happy hour. We asked to be seated in the couch sections and we were accommodated. FYI-normally those areas require a reservation. We were approached right away and our drink order was placed. We ordered appetizers, volcano shrimp, gyro feta flatbread. Our food was very good and plentiful. Our server was conscientious and always asking if we needed anything else. We would definitely recommend Bartisan and we will be back. Entrees are yummy because they are slathered in butter...not a place for a foodie. No herbs/seasoning/layering of flavor. Basic dinner food in a fun, dark, DJ, ambience. Beef nacho apps were burned tortilla chips with the emphasis on chopped iceberg chunks. Digging down to get overdone beef crumbles and a weird melted strand of cheese here and there. DISAPPOINTING! The Service team and management ruined what could have been a decent night out with the girls. Unfortunately, our visit on Saturday November 22nd ended with a member of the management team CONFRONTING our party about "only leaving a $1 tip".....which was not only inaccurate but also unprofessional and disrespectful. Each member of our party of 4 was given a bill that included a 20% gratuity (a policy that the receipt states "only applies to parties of 6 or more"). Each person PAID the bill presented to them, which totaled a $50 tip for our waitress, and one person left her change of $1 in addition to the 20% that was automatically applied. The food at The Bartisan was average at best. The service was slow and included cold food that had to be sent back to the kitchen to be prepared again. The unmitigated arrogance of The Bartisan's Manager to think it was appropriate to try and "check" us over an oversight his staff was too obtuse to correct but ballsy enough to complain about speaks directly to this restaurant's lack of respect for customer service and for creating a welcoming atmosphere for ALL patrons. Sir, please find your "free drink tickets on your next visit" on top of the trash can in the parking lot.....nothing about this experience at The Bartisan in Plymouth MI warrants a return visit. We ordered the sunset bliss and added tequila. The food was not it!! Ordered truffle fries, spinach dip and fried cod tacos! The fries were cold and very small. Should've been advertised as shoestring fries. The spinach dip was very bland and watery! Tasted like they took it out of a frozen bag, put it in the microwave and served it! In the other hand, the cod fish was fresh and fried to perfection. Overall the food was trash but the drinks were great. Would only recommend this place for drinks. We spontaneous came on live music night featuring Billy Joel music. Enjoyed the lighting and atmosphere of the place. The front host went the extra mile to help us to find a seat in the pack house. We ordered drinks, hummus, and truffle fries all very good. We both will come back again. The only negative was we don't prefer high top tables because of the high no back chairs associated. When we checked in at the front desk the hostess noticed we made our reservation to celebrate a birthday, and she welcomed us by saying happy birthday to me and passed the information along to our waitress who also greeted our table by wishing me a happy birthday!
