They had a surprisingly large menu with many options to choose from. My friend and I came up on a Friday night around 9:30 and the kitchen was still open. We ordered the corn beef Reuben and giant nachos. The nachos had the tri-colored chips which for some reason I feel taste better than just the regular tortilla chips. It was loaded up with beef, cheese, beans with all the nacho fixins. It was large and we couldn't finish it. The Reuben sandwich had a generous amount of corn beef and tangy sauerkraut on marbled rye bread. It came with fries, a side of coleslaw, and a pickle. Huge and delicious sandwich for $16. Drinks seemed a little pricy at $9 each for Crown Royal Apple. The reason for 3 stars is the service was not that great. They were busy when we got there so understandably it took a few minutes to get our drink and dinner order in but when there was 4 people left in the place and the bartender ignored us for 15 minutes we decided to go over to where she was at and interrupt her conversation so we could cash out. I understand chatting with your regulars but they lost out on another round of drinks and possibly a round of shots because we didn't get any attention. Came here for dinner on a Friday at 5pm with 3 people. Ordered 2 mixed drinks and a beer, drinks came quickly and were good. We ordered steak bites for an app and ordered them medium rare. They came pretty quickly, they were gray and did not taste good. It tasted like steak pieces that were in a fridge and got micro waved. They were served with canned mushrooms, pita bread and bbq sauce? For our meals we got wings, a burger, and perch dinner. Wings were good, burger was on a stale bun and the burger wasn't seasoned, perch was also okay. French onion soup came with the perch dinner and that was very good. Good food, good prices and decent service is what we experienced at the Bowery. I had a friend in out of town who doesn't care for chains and wanted dinner in the Canton area. The Bowery immediately came to mind as I remembered that I used to go here for the auce crab legs on Thursday nights (yes they still have it!). We started off with one server and was switched in the middle of our dinner with no explanation. It left us curious and made my friend uncomfortable since we started off with one server and then suddenly someone else appeared and took over, yet the other server took care of all the other tables around us. It probably was something simple that could've made my friend feel better with a brief explanation. The saving grace was that the new server was great and took excellent care of us. The menu has so many selections that it is sure to have something to please everyone. There are souls, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and entrees galore. And there are also daily food and drinks specials posted near the entrance. We went for the open faced New York strip steak sandwich and the beer battered shrimp accompanied by glasses of white wine. Both dishes were nicely prepared and tasty. And we were extremely happy when the bill came in at around $40. This will be our new go to spot when we are in the Canton area. read more

This place is a good find!! Started off with a simple water which came in a mason jar. Very cool. As I was looking at the menu. I noticed everyone was eating crab dinner. All you could hear was cracking of shells throughout the place. The waitress was really kind. She let us know the specials of the evening. Of course all you can eat crab legs was the main special. For the price you couldn't beat it truthfully. I decided to try something a little different. I choose to get the cajun shrimp alfredo dinner. Boy! What a wonderful choice. The flavors were to perfection. If your a heat type of person. This is for you!! The heat is up there and leaves you wanting more. Definitely gets the beads going on the forehead. I recommend this dish. My significant other decided on the fish and chips. Nicely fried with a crispy bite. The coleslaw was very good also. There was no need to add any additional spice. Stopped in here on a Saturday before seeing a movie with my husband. Funny thing is I have rode up and down Ford Road many times and have never noticed this place before. Well I'm glad I did because it was pretty cool, they had a good variety of music playing and a little before we left I saw a band setting up but we didn't get to stay to hear them. We were told to seat ourselves and we were immediately assisted by a waitress and given menus. They have a pretty good menu with several options, I opted to just get the wings, bang bang shrimp and fries. My husband got the shrimp po-boy with fries and all was pretty good. The bang bang shrimp came on a plate with shreds of lettuce and they were a little cold but still tasty. My husband's sandwich was nice and spicy and my wings and fries were hot and good. So i haven't been here in years and figured why not!? I love the look of it in the inside lots of wood and brick gives it a-lot of character. They have specials of the week posted when you walk. They have a Happy Hour! So they server wasn't real personable but it was good service we were given everything we needed or asked for. I got the turkey reuben with slaw which was amazing! They were out of egg rolls, out of ingredients for a salad and had a small variety of draft beer. It's an alright place... I would say it was more mid-aged people there -- unfortunately I don't fit that category yet. I went right after work around 5:30pm to redeem a Groupon off. There was a new waitress on shift and they only had done the Groupon deal only a few times. They were unsure how it would work or if I needed to buy a drink first; but I had $20 that I had to spend. **Of course in the fine print it stated I had to dine-in. I ordered two meals -- so the waitress brings out the sandwichs which one I was eating there and the other sandwich was to suppose to be for carry-out. The waitress was nice but her service was poor because she didn't know the meal; she kept saying "i don't know". **I gave her a break!!! Well when I was cashing out -- I asked "WHERE'S MY FRIES FOR THE TWO SANDWICHES?". She said you don't get fries and then of course I gave her the confused face because the meal said "fries with every sandwich" -- so she verified and came back then apologized with two fresh hot fries. **I might review this place later in the future (maybe) only if another deal comes around -- if I was paying full prices, then I might be a little more upset about the waiting. read more

So I'm at my friends house and we're thinking of dinner plans, something quick and good. So my friend suggest this place, I'm a vegetarian so I wasn't too sure of what they had on the menu. With quick glance, I was able to decide on the veggie wrap, based on the description--it had me excited to try it. I called the order in and the young woman quoted me 30 mins, Im thinking that's typical nowadays due to everyone not dining in due to the pandemic. We get there, my friend walks in and was told "Your order isn't quite ready yet, maybe another 5 mins or so". So she walks out and then goes back in 5 mins later and witnesses a cook come out of the kitchen yelling "don't give her that order, it isn't right!" So my friend then walks back out and lets us know our order STILL ISNT READY. At this point, I'm appalled and we all decide to go inside to see what the issue is and the lady explains that they had to re make the order so that's what took awhile. I get back to my friends place to discover the veggie wrap I ordered was NOTHING like the description. It had black beans falling out of it with no homemade basil mayo like described. I decided to call up there and ask why it was made with black beans and she goes, "I don't know", it doesn't say it's made with that. And let me know the chef is new and she doesn't know why he made it with black beans. I politely requested and a refund and was denied because she'd have to double charge my card, in order for me to get my money back? Clearly, the atmosphere is more bar than restaurant. But WAIT! The food here turned out to be Great! I had the fried pickles, cup of chili, and fish and chips (I chose fries over potato chips). The food here is fantastic! The only problem is they have so much on their menu and (I'm guessing) the kitchen is too small so the food takes forever. Even if you're the only ones in there. A pitcher of bud light costs $12 and I think that is a bit overpriced when you can get it for less than $10 at crow's nest and around $8 at canton bistro. While the food took forever to come out, the wait staff is very attentive making sure our drinks were filled. They have keno, which we love! We only go here if we have a lot of time in our hands. In town for a business meeting. I detest chains and always look for something local. Stumbled on The Bowery. This place has everything you want in a local pub, great selection of beers and drinks, solid food menu, and super friendly staff. They are all pretty laid back, made me feel at home. Just goes to show that even in a beltway filled with all the prototypical chain restaurants you can still find local. Got to my hotel and the others that got on the elevator had left over bags from BDubs, and a local Italian chain. I thought Smh! The Bowery is a hidden gem located across the intersection from IKEA. It has fast become my local favorite every time I come to IKEA. When you first walk in you get the vibe that it's just an after work drink spot. But if you are staying after work hours you will slowly start to see delicious food start rolling out. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of what originally seemed like it would just be regular "bar food". Their burgers were unexpectedly good and you HAVE to try the homemade pretzel, you'll go home wishing you had another one! Their drinks are good but I rarely see any drinks specials there. We stopped in here for an unexpectedly late dinner after a long day on the road. We were hungry, bordering on h-angry, and did not want to cook when we arrived home. While there is no dearth of options on Ford Road, I try to stay away from chains, and options are more limited toward 10 pm. I liked the large high top tables and the setup of televisions for this type of bar environment. It wasn't too loud, so we were able to zone out watching some ESPN, but still talk to one another as desired. The draft selection is reasonable and rotates. I had a Leinie's Summer Shandy which was the perfect temperature and carbonation level. We had some chips and salsa to stave off our hunger while we waited for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that the chips were freshly fried, not just straight out of the bag. They weren't anything too special, but being fresh and crispy goes a long way. My partner had the sirloin steak with a baked potato and vegetables. It was cooked just as he ordered, and he said it was well-flavored. The potato was solid and the vegetable was mixed color string beans, a great choice for this time of year, and different than so many places that just have broccoli. I enjoyed my barbecued chicken salad. The chicken was still warm and tossed in barbecue sauce, so I didn't need much more dressing. The combination of ingredients was perfect. Based on the good level of service and quality, price of the food, I was surprised that this place wasn't busier. Maybe there are just too many choices on Ford Road, and this joint doesn't have the right gimmick? Really this should be a great spot for locals, so check them out. read more

I was a new Customer here and I ordered the all you can eat crab legs. When I say they were absolutely horrible they were from the back of 5 alleys. I will never step foot in this place again. My husband and I came in on valentine's day and were greeted by a man who I assume was the owner or manager. He cleared a table for us but didnt wipe it down. He then walked away. We then finally sat down at the dirty table assuming someone would come take care of us. Two other servers came by asked if we had been helped, but never helped! the first guy sat back down at the table behind us and carried on with those guests while drinking. In the total of about 20 minutes we were there, we did not recieve a glass of water, clean table or asked to order. They have standard, mediocre bar food. Salads include lots of wilted leaves, fish and chips were greasy and both fish and the fries came fresh from a freezer.
