Nestled in the heart of downtown Wayne, US 12 is a not only a bar/grill. It also has a separate room with an arcade attached to it. This was the main reason I came here, boasting a decent selection of games and pinball machines. I met up with my cousins, and while I waited for them to show up decided to order somethings to munch on. Generally speaking bars are hit or miss when it comes to food, and this one belonged in the latter category unfortunately. I got the chili to start and finished with their chicken alfredo. I enjoyed the chili just fine, it just wasn't above average or better than what I could make at home. The chicken alfredo on the other hand tasted like something you get from a frozen dinner and microwaved. Perhaps it was my mistake to order pasta from a bar just before 9 pm, but it was filling I will say that. Food aside I very much enjoyed a round of Ms Pac-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter 2 after the fact. read more

This place wasn't terrible. The inside is nice and the pop up Christmas bar was cool too. Honestly the pop up bar is what made it for me. The customers inside were just not my cup of tea. Hooting and hollering about the game. I understand that bars are loud, but these people were straight up obnoxious. Just doing too much. Going to the other side of the bar (where the pop up bar was) made the vibes a lot better. That side actually had a "Christmas drink menu". The normal side didn't even have a drink menu at all. The fries we got weren't anything crazy either. I thought to give this place a try because it's close to where I live. Wanted it to be my go to bar. Unfortunately though, I just wasn't a fan. We had a good time here last night seeing a friends love band. It's got a huge stage. The place is gigantic but it's a very strange vibe. There are several themes going on in one space. It's like two places smashed together. One part has its own bar and a big time nautical and tiki vibe. Then they have the stage area had another bar. Big stage. Weird leather floor to ceiling booths with brick walls and a realty office in the corner. The bathrooms have saloon doors. Strange lol. The food was good. I got Mac n cheese with fried chicken on it. Tons of chicken. I did have to salt and pepper the Mac and cheese it was alittle bland but all around good. The onion rings were great. The quesadilla was good. My husbands fried chicken sandwich was very good too. The mixed drinks felt weak so I switched to white claw. The service was ok. We had a big group so it was a lot I'm sure. read more

I haven't been in here in probably 15 years or more. I am amazed at the updates since then. I recently rented out the Tiki side to do a Celebration of Life for my brother. I am amazed at how everything went. The owners are great, and super nice. The look of the place is phenomenal. The food is amazing. I had the pepperoni pizza and my wife had the fish tacos. I 100% recommend US12 for your events and I am going to start patronizing again just as a bar. The pizza was great. A good chew on the crust and a good spice on the pepperoni. Will certainly order again. Also the bartender, who's name I didn't get, was amazing. We had probably 30 people and all the food was delivered promptly. Very unimpressive "blackened" cod tacos. Good on the fish quantity but it ended there. Not hot, not blackened and nothing sauce wise to make me want to order these again. My burger was cooked on point, the truffle fries were amazing, but my fiancés chicken Sammie, albeit enormous, was over cooked. The breading was way too crunchy/hard. Once she got that off she said the chicken was good, but she would have loved the sandwich breaded lighter so she could have enjoyed it as well. If I could give zero stars, I would. My friend and I were kicked out of this bar simply for calmly voicing a valid complaint about our food. No yelling, no scene--we gave honest feedback and were met with hostility and removal. Let's be clear: we are regulars--3 to 4 times a week. Our usual bartenders, Woody and Kay, have always treated us with kindness and professionalism. We've never had a single issue until tonight. The bartender on duty, Cianna, labeled us as "difficult" the moment we walked in. Her energy was off from the start--dismissive, cold, and clearly biased. We were also the only Black patrons in the bar, and the only ones treated this way. Things escalated unnecessarily when the manager threatened to call the police on us, even though we remained calm and respectful. He told us directly, "You are not wanted here." That statement alone says everything. This wasn't just bad service--it was a targeted, discriminatory experience. To go from loyal customers to being removed and threatened over a food complaint is beyond unacceptable. We won't be back, and we'll be sure our community knows exactly how this establishment treats Black customers when they speak up. read more

This is an excellent bar and grill that my wife and I went to on a Saturday evening around 7 o'clock while we were visiting the area. We walk in it's definitely a dive bars got a pool tables TVs the sport games dartboards golden tea all the good stuff. We were immediately seated at a nice table conveniently located next to a TV which I enjoyed. The waitress was really nice and helpful her name was timber which I thought was cool and we ordered couple of beers and I got the double cheeseburger with fries which was excellent and my wife got the fish which was also excellent we had a great time a lot of fun a lot of laughs it's a great place read more

I was greeted and served very promptly. And then........ My glass is empty. I'm drinking their most expensive draft beer. Yet all the regulars are getting fresh bottled dom beers before theirs are even empty. Both bartenders slightly glanced my way. Yet did not offer me another beer. US12 could have made a new regular patron. But your complacent bar staff did you no favors. Your staff vaping behind the bar??? Must be this place's thing. Because it's not a thing anywhere else. Oh I get it now. One of the bartenders was trying to leave for the day. That should come before customers for sure! It's hard times for everyone. TIP means to ensure promptness. Absolutely amazing service and food. In Detroit for the hockeytown 5k and need a place to watch the game and grab a bite before we flew out... thanks to the buffalo bills for having the bills backer site because we found this gem on our way to the airport. The service was awesome! Door was great!! And the prices are very reasonable. We visit Detroit a few times a year and this will be on our path next time! We swung by on a Sunday night because it was open and on the way home from work. This sounds like a big deal but I get off between 9 pm and 10pm after a ten hour plus day. Not much is open and I'm not cooking at that time of night. We expected and got a bar. Typical fare, typical drinks. The place was slow as molasses because it is a Sunday night. The staff was friendly and welcoming to newbies and gave very good recommendations when asked. I did not feel awkward about dining (which can be weird at some bars) nor being decidedly middle aged. They were very helpful and sweet about everything. My patty melt was quite respectable. My husband really liked his bacon BBQ burger. We were both starving so I would not depend on me for objectivity though. Fries were standard but hot and crispy. I had a pop and James had a garden variety domestic beer. Prices were good and he got to watch some football so he was all good with the place. I thought it was a-ok. Not stellar but a nice place to swing by and have a typical bar experience. I think I will stick with our usual Sunday night haunts but I would return in a pinch. read more

We had a girls group meet up on Saturday. They knew we were coming and had a head count for our tables for 2 weeks. Myself with the other members had to push tables together out on the patio. Nothing was set up for our party. I took 60 minutes for members of our group to order and receive there food, which all was mostly wrong and/or cold. The owner was more interested in trying to hook up with members of our group then making sure his guest were happy and enjoying his restaurant. You think with 26 women in your restaurant and looking for a place to have a monthly meeting would be more appreciated for the business and word of mouth. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BAR AT ALL! I visited on a Sunday to check out a drummer. The place was dead. There was supposed to be some fundraiser in the back lot but the big show took the stage the night before. I was really disappointed that this venue didn't advertise better for the event. I would have been there the night before too. Huge space, private lounge areas, and nice outdoor festival space. I had two drinks, which were fine. The girls were especially nice and I stayed only an hour. Parking is plentiful if you search around the building, though I don't think the area is the safest. Reeking of old urine and burned food (as it usually does), this 'establishment' produced an overamplified garage band, and a $10 cover on New Years Eve. Wheee! While I was there, 6 gobsmacked others, snickered and gave them the "Eek! Methinks not!" and walked. What ever happened to good service in this country. I am sitting at the bar Aug 23 at 2:00 PM enjoying a burger and a beer. Everything was pleasant until I asked the barmaid to top up my craft beer glass which she left with 1 inch of infilled glass. She gave me the sink-eye then spent the next two minutes doing other things then wordless filled my glass and sloppily plopped in down with beer everywhere! I even thanked her twice very nicely. When I went to pay she ignored me for 10 min. Eventually the other bar maid saw me sitting holding my CC in my hand. It's always refreshing to watch the cook stuff themselves with food while cooking, then walk out of sight when you see him. I don't know what happened to this place but it's really changed over the years. I remember heading here for football games, happy hours, I even remember watching the NBA finals here on 2 separate occasions but I can definitely say the atmosphere is different. One good thing about this place is that they have a decent bottle selection of craft beer, which is a plus. The customer service is pretty much focused on regulars based on my observation. The food itself is typical frozen to order bar food, not fresh I remember, but also you can see the cook make everything through the window. It's a cool bar if that's what you are looking for I'm ok. The place was not very busy, only about 8 other patrons at the time. I waited over 10 minutes before I was able to get anyone's attention. I let them know I had an online order, in response I was told to wait for someone else. I did, I waited another 10 minutes before I was able to give the name for my order. After that I waited 20 more minutes for my food to be handed to me. A total of 40 minutes waiting, which would have been fine if my order wasn't sitting out for that same amount of time. This is a cute little bar & grill on the main drag in Wayne, a neighborhood bar with regulars, lots of working class folks. They don't have the biggest selection of beers, but they had a few microbrews & bottles of Bud and Miller were $2 during happy hour on a Saturday night. I also ordered pasta there, and while it was OK, the alfredo sauce was too runny and the vegetables looked like they came out of one of those mixes you get in the freezer aisle at the supermarket - they were supposed to be grilled but seemed more microwaved. Some other positives: The women's restroom was clean and nicely decorated. I liked the patio out front - it was a nice day to have a Corona & lime outdoors and watch the cars go down US 12. When I was little my foot got caught in the chain of a bike I was riding on the back of, tore up my foot and ankle into a complete mess. That was still a better experience than this place. Awful food, customers all looked and acted like idiots and the manager completely ignored my wife. I live on the east side so whenever we are out on the west side we always make sure to stop at the 12 for some dinner and drinks. The wait staff and bar tenders are very friendly and make u feel very welcomed there. I Like the fact that they have a variety of different beers and have live music on the weekends. Ok, but can be way better. Always passed by this place and decided to finally come and try it. Came late night, but the kitchen was close (closes at 12 am). They did have outdoor music, live DJ, a big dance floor, and cheap drinks. However the place was relatively quiet for a saturday night and the service was not great (various waitresses not paying attention, almost ignoring you to an extent). Overall an ok place to drink at ( and they do offer you 10% off your bill when you check in on yelp), but the party and food is probably more or less at the avenue down the street. read more
