I love Wild Willy's. It is near Detroit airport so if you are staying nearby def check it out. We stop here every time we fly in/out. Pool tables, jukebox, bar food. Everything u look for in a neighborhood bar. I travel quite a bit so most bartenders recognize me when I come in. This is a regulars spot so if they don't know you, you will probably be waiting a bit. Great craft beer list. Food is totally forgettable so eat as last option. No near the airport markup here. Didn't try any food but what was coming out looked really good. Bartender was quick with the drinks and the beer was good. Great place to watch a game and hangout. Noise level was loud but not so loud you can't talk. Definitely a must stop. read more

I REALLY want to give them 4 stars, primarily for the wonderful servers. Other reviews were spot on. The entrance is not super welcoming (see photo), but the review helped me cross the threshold. Once inside, I agree, clean and such. (But why was someone allowed to smoke indoors? Is it a club like places claim in Indiana? There is some sort of beer club with mugs hanging from the ceiling.) The food was good. Big, juicy burger with tasty bun and toppings. Fries were fine. BBQ chicken pizza seemed a little overdone. Main problem was that it took a fairly long time, even though not many other people were eating. Maybe they are accustomed to folks having several beers and taking their time; I had to get my kid to a hockey game. Someone sent along fried Oreos. We came here to kill some time after our flight till check in at our hotel. Great service- even the lady who said it was her first day was really nice and checked on us frequently (even though we moved around a bit to play pool). Great regulars who were very talkative and got a hoot & a holler over the shot prices I mentioned from DC. S/o to Scotty with the Budlight bucket for welcoming us to Michigan! The lady who said she used to clean there was also very sweet. Everything here was reasonably priced. Got a bucket of millers, many shots of Jameson, played pool, & fed 3 people for under $100. We made sure to take care of the bartenders. We watched a man come in and try to give the staff issues about keno/trying to get money- the bartenders stood firm & handled the situation well. Food was decent. Not my favorite but my boyfriend really really LOVED the garlic Parmesan battered wings. They were not overly salty and wet like most places. They were crispy and lightly seasoned! Sooo many people raved about how good the food is so I'm putting a star on there because my group really liked it. I really enjoyed the basement bar look. If I could give any advice, I would make which doors are the entrances more clear- just any kind of sign. If I'm ever back in Michigan, I will be coming back here!!! Loved it! read more

Reviewing for after kitchen closed (which is 11pm) - my coworkers and I arrived after midnight which our shift ended. They were hosting karaoke which most wasn't that good but it was entertaining . Theyre two pool tables available and shuffleboard (I think). They have a digital menu which is nice but needs to viewable all the way around - definitely wouldn't sit in that area because more likely people would be standing behind you for a long period of time. Drafts were very limited and they had mainly IPA available; bartenders were nice and working the crowd good. Would I be back? If it was the only option and literally tonight it was - I did hear the food is kinda good though. Happy drinking!!! read more

Honestly if I could rate the experience a 0 star I would. And it's because the young lady in there today 08/18/25 @ around 12:45pm. Me and my brother went in there for some food before we had to go back to work. For context me and my brother were black. And she was a white lady. As soon as we sat down she spoke but wasn't very pleasant. Then once I took a little longer than her liking on ordering she looked very annoyed like she had an attitude. And the food was just ok from what my brother had! I decided not to order. And he just decided to get his to go. She only gave a smile once and that's when he was getting ready to pay. If you love total dive bars with hot food served cold this is your place. A perfect place to feel like you are not safe. Homeless looking dude in the corner was a nice touch. She got our order and beers quick, the food was slow to come but she said the equipment in the back was having some problems. So it wasnt an issue. Food came out, burgers were overcooked. Ok, it's a dive bar! Notwithstanding, the beer is ice cold, and they have a nice selection to choose from. Now the food, the burgers are a 10/10. They are the bomb diggity. The chicken wings are second to none, and the chicken tenders are just cut fresh and thick and juicy. The food is scratch made!!!! They even cure their own corned beef. Where do I start? Looks like a run down strip club from the outside is a the starter... it's not welcoming and doesn't draw you. When you walk in... it's dark a little outdated. Older pool tables and tables. 1960s painting of a nude women graces the wall, neon lights for beer they may or may not be selling. The only updated part is the men's bathroom. The best part is that they like it that way. A true dive bar. Now that I got that out of the way... This place is a hidden gem. Super clean, great atmosphere, cold beer, AMAZING FOOD (almost too good to be sold at a dive bar). Owner is behind the bar or serving food/drinks, servers try to remember every customer, great I g them with their favorite beer as soon as they take a seat. I absolutely LOVE this place. Previous ratings, although respected, are no where close to this gem of an old time, good feelin' gathering place. Service is quick, food is fantastic, awesome beer specials, and the atmosphere is what all of us in our 30s and 40s we're conditioned to love. The minute I walked in, Hank Williams, Jr's "Outlaw Women" was playing and it only got better from there. Everyone is welcome, all genres of music are played, and everyone gets along. Stopped on the way home from Fox theater in Detroit. Someone came in with a large white German shepherd that claimed was a service animal. Dropped service animal off at the bar counter with acquaintance & proceeded to the restroom. Thinking there was a substance abuse issue going on in the ladies room. It's an interesting place - by interesting I mean like a classy version of a dive bar. Or at least that's what the remodel tells me. The clientele is suspect at best, but by suspect I mean less than classy. Biggest issue - which is why it gets one star and doesn't deserve that is they still allow smoking inside. A bar somewhat near the airport, but I'd say not for the weak or timid. I was there twice, once on my way into Detroit, and last on my way out. Both times the dining tables were empty but the barstools near full-- filled with tough-talking blue collar workers, male and female alike. All I could think was: "This is gonna be fun." We got the last two barstools in the center of the bar. Everybody seemed to know everyone else, and they all talked across the length of the bar to each other, skipping right over us, but still well aware of us. After about a half hour or so of barely a nod of acknowledgment, one local made a polite introduction. It was like a domino effect... We had their approval. The burgers are damn good. read more

Only reason I give it 4 stars is because I've only had their chicken wings and a Long Island lol. But man o man are their wings to die for. Never seen this place on lists of best wings but they definitely deserve a place on it. They serve them I think in orders of 6, 12, 24, and 36. Got the 36 order for the game last night and it was about 27 bucks which I think is fairly priced. They were big wings too. read more
