THE OWNER OF THIS BAR IS THREATENING TO SEXUALLY ASSAULT MY PARTNER AND I FOR A 10% TIP LAST MONTH!!! Unfortunately I had a TERRIBLE experience at Egan's bar last night. This was my fourth visit to this bar, and in the past received AMAZING service from all of the bartenders, including the bartender that served us yesterday. My partner and I have come three times in the past for their excellent hamburgers and a couple of well made cocktails. No one, staff or customer, has ever had an issue with us while we ate and sipped out drinks, or said anything to us about being rowdy, as we were later accused of. We came here for good late night food. Last night, Saturday 6/7/25 my partner and I sat down at the bar. We asked if the kitchen was open, and were informed it was closed. When party next to us was served food, I inquired as to why they were served food, but we were not. I felt like it was a fair question. I was told it was because they called and ordered in advance. That sat fine with me, but when the bartender added that "they are friends of the owner, so i cooked their food myself." I was a little put off. I understand friends of the owner will recieve special treatment. That's how small buisnesses network, and is an excellent buisnenss move. However, telling your customers that someone else is being treated diferently is an umprofessional move, especially when it could have been left at a simple, "they called in an order." Our bartender never checkekd on us, never smiled, and went out of her way to ignore us. She looked me in the eye when i kindly asked "ma'am" and walked away. It was quiet at the bar, with only five or six parties, so there is no way she couldn't hear me. I told her i was not going to leave a tip because of the poor customer service we recieved. I did not name call, threaten, or curse. I was told that we stiffed the bartender a month ago, and to prove that she posted a copy of the credit card receipt on a facebook page from over a month ago showing we left a 10% tip? She went on to made inappropriate comments about her CUSTOMERS AND THEIR GENITALIA on a COMMUNITY facebook page which CHILDREN can view. Not just us, but other people who had poor service at this bar in the past. THE OWNER THREATENED US WITH PHYSICAL HARM ON THE SAME FACEBOOK! You can see that SEXUALLY VIOLENT RANT he posted in the picture. I was told the bartender almost didn't serve us, because it seems a 10% tip was inadequate a month ago. I could probably condense this review to 3 words: best reuben around. When I came for lunch I figured on ordering a grilled chicken sandwich, which is one of my go-tos for a bar-and-grill meal. Was surprised not to see one on the menu, but the notice that Egan's corned beef was slow-cooked in house caught my eye. I love a good reuben so went with one. It was fantastic. Heavily topped with succulent corned beef and still-crisp kraut. Thousand Island on the side so you can make it as creamy as you care to. And big. Fries on the side were thick cut and very nicely done. Let's just say I didn't leave hungry. Was a little surprised to see few craft beers on tap. I ordered a pint of Fat Tire, but after I got it I noticed there were some excellent craft selections in cans in the cooler behind the bar. Have been there several times in the past & the food & service were very good. Went there yesterday for lunch & it was terrible. This place looks like it's on it's last legs. Bar looked very dirty. My wife ordered the Reuben & I had the special which was Shepherd's Pie. When our food came, the reuben was poorly made. Very little meat on one half & almost all the meat on the other half. My wife had to remake the sandwich. My Shepherd's Pie looked like last weeks leftovers. It definately wasn't made fresh. It was also served cold. It had to be reheated in the microwave. It also had a very bland taste. With the prices they charge, I really felt totally ripped off. We won't be back. read more

We always come for the potato skins they are my daughters favorite.. those are always a must when we come (make sure to get extra sour cream) i tried the fish and chips they were good.. homemade tarter sauce. I came here for dinner in mid-July on a Monday when they had just opened the outdoor patio during the pandemic. The waitstaff was hustling to make sure everyone was happy. A DJ was playing some music but not so loudly that you couldn't hear the people in your party. So for outside dining experience and waitstaff, I'd go 5 stars. The food though was just so-so; nothing bad, but nothing great or special. I asked the waitress what was good. She noted pizza as a popular favorite and said she really likes the Corned Beef Sliders. So I got the sliders, and they were fine. I upgraded to onion rings which were nicely sliced (not super thick). The batter held up well and the onions were crisp (i.e. you could bite through them without pulling the entire onion out of the batter), but they were rather greasy. Me and my friend came here last minute. On a Tuesday night. We wanted to go to bayou grille but they stopped serving food! We ended up here! The reviews said the food was good! I ordered the turkey melt w/bacon and pepper jack cheese. Instead of the fries I ordered their onion rings! Which were fire! It was really good! I also ordered a sangria which was $6 which wasn't bad at all. My friend ordered the blackbean burger she said it was good! The only time I had come to check the restaurant out was on a suggestion from an out-of-state family member. The food and drinks were great, despite my lack of remembering what I ordered for food other than the Irish nachos. The Irish nachos were delicious as expected, and I should make a better effort to go back more often than just going to regular familiar haunts. Lets be honest, this is a 2-3 star place. But, it's my hometown watering hole and a place I've been more than anywhere else in town so, I'm gonna round up and add an extra star for it being my home base. The menu is small and most of the choices are clearly frozen or otherwise pre-prepared. Not that there is anything wrong with that, some of my favorite foods are deep fried and come in a basket. Just don't roll up here expecting some haute cuisine. The service isn't anything special unless you are a friend, relative or otherwise cliqued up with the owners, servers or BYC. Expect to have to ask for water, wait for beers and for them to forget your ranch unless they know you - then prepare to be doted on. I have lived in this town long enough to remember when this place was nothing, China King, the Thai place and nothing again so while it might only loosely be an "Irish Pub", I'd rather go here then all of the other crap holes in this 4 light redneck Riviera. Bottom line - the place is pretty clean, the beers are cold and the food is cheap. Keep your expectations in line and you won't be disappointed. Great local spot. So close to our home we can call in our order, pick it up, get it home and enjoy with no mistakes including four burger temps, all nailed perfectly. Our last order was a Black & Blue, Bacon Burger, and two Mushroom Burgers. Future orders (or advice if you will) get the lettuce and tomatoes on the side so they are crispy when get them home. This is a tough one. This is great food versus terrible service. Came here on a recommendation and while I have been in this area a few times, I had never seen or heard of this place until recently. They have about 6 beers on tap and drink specials (on this day it was a $5 Long Island, which was great tasting to me, not strong, but just right). As for my food, I started with a order of their hot n spicy wings and they are excellent and on point and a must try (they only have 2 sauces and the wings come in 10 or 20). For my meal I went with the Reuben with the steak fries. The sandwich isn't huge but it is a good size and probably the best Reuben I done at least had in the area (the steak fries are good not great). Now with all this said, this should be it, but the service was not good. The guy/bartender serving us had a bad attitude towards us for whatever reason (but was happy, cheerful, and talkative towards everyone else), was dry, disrespondant, rudely handing us stuff or answering questions. The lady that brought out the food was nice n sweet, but he was a complete jerk and when somebody in my party called him out on it, he just said "he had other stuff on his mind", turned his back and continue to chuckle it up with everyone else (even the group next to us notice how rude he was). Overall this really should be a 4.5-5 star review, but the service brought it down (really a 3.5 star but we will roll with 4). read more

Very disappointing. We hadn't been here in about a year. Wife and I stopped in for dinner. Ordered Vodka and diet and appetizer. Drink came and it was not Vodka and diet. Sent it back and got another that was in fact Vodka and diet. After finishing appetizer ordered another Vodka and diet and once again it was something else. At this point we decided we were done. Waitress said she would'nt take the drink off the bill because she "watched the bartender (manager) pour it". I had a person close to me move out to Belleville. In an attempt to find some good restaurants out that way, I did my usual cross referencing of Google and Yelp to find that this place was one of the highest rated places in the area. It had to be good right? I don't know if standards are set lower in Belleville, but the whole experience was extremely underwhelming. When we first sat down, we noticed the table was very sticky to the point where our arms and hands felt like they were stuck on a movie theater floor. We wiped it down a little ourselves and that did the trick. We started with the Jack sticks, monteray jack cheese sticks "breaded and fried" with a side of honey mustard. As soon as we received the order, the immediate impression was that these things looked like an item purchased on the frozen food section and thrown into a microwave. The side dressing was good, but the food itself was lackluster, this would be the theme for the meal. We weren't terribly hungry so we split the special: Sheperd's Pie. When this was brought out it looked like it was something thrown together and microwaved, it tasted like that too. The meat tasted like canned chili, the potatoes tasted instant, and it just was in general bland and unseasoned. That being said, the burgers did look good and I am sure they have some items that are good an unique (I was very tempted to try the celtic sticks). I have a feeling this place is more well known for their burgers. We ended up getting 2 tall domestic drafts (big mugs with advertisements for local businesses printed on them, classy), an order of jack sticks, and shared the sheperds pie. The total was $30. Had a GREAT experience at Egans this afternoon! Finally found a local establishment doing it RIGHT! Wonderful beer selection here. Ordered a large beer on tap and it was exceptional: beer was served ice cold in a frosty mug. Pure perfection! The food menu was unique and delicious, we had a hard time making a decision! Opted for a Reuben sandwich, which turned out to be one of the best Reubens I have ever had. Wow. Fresh and flavorful! Great job on the food prep, it was beyond expectations. Service was very attentive, the bartender was great. Co-workers and I will DEFINITELY be back, too many appetizers on the menu I want to try! What a great place to unwind and enjoy excellent food and service. Great job, Egans! This was until our visit last weekend where the big girl behind the counter turned down the jukebox music we were playing.
