My husband and I stopped in Dundee from the Cleveland area, and chose to stop here for a bite to eat and a drink out of the blue. We each tried a "berry blast" cocktail, he tried a Lake Erie melt, and I got the Dundee City meatloaf. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, our waitress was very polite, and we received our food relatively promptly. The vibe was lively but laid back, and the cost was very affordable. We will definitely be back next time we're in the Dundee area. read more

I really hate to leave negative reviews, but my experience today warrants it. I stopped by this Dundee, MI location because it was halfway between Ann Arbor and Temperance, MI. I was in a lot of pain from a presumed leg injury and parked as close as possible. There were lots of potholes and a step without railings. Not good for preventing potential falls. Once inside, the ambiance was very lackluster. It was basically a sports bar and that was okay. I just wanted a meal and a break from driving. My server was very sweet and young, but clearly inexperienced. I ordered a drink before ordering my entree' but the drink came after my entree'. Her response was that the bartender was new and stressed out. Okay.., The food was just okay. I ordered a chicken sandwich with guacamole and bruschetta on top. I mentioned to my server that the chicken was very dry and difficult to cut. I also mentioned that the swiss cheese was barely detectable. She apologized but didn't offer management intervention. By the end, I didn't want to struggle any longer in trying to cut the overcooked and dry chicken. When I asked for the check, I pointed out nicely that my dissatisfaction with parts of the meal should have been brought to the manager's attention. Rather than raise a conflict over the bill, I paid it but don't ever plan to return. I overheard someone at a booth across from mine also expressing dissatisfaction with what he'd ordered, though not sure if he was complaining within his circle or whether he actually told the server- not that it would have mattered. It appears that this restaurant has some training issues for its young and inexperienced staff members. read more

We walked in and sat down at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and quickly set us up with menus and drinks. We started with the pretzel bites. I didn't realize they were fried versus baked. They were still pretty good. The cheese sauce was tasty. We ate them all! For my main dish I had chicken chunks with my dipping sauces on the side. The Parmesan garlic was funky in a way I didn't really like. The ranch and Caribbean were awesome. I wish the dish would have come with more than two pieces of celery but overall it was worth ordering. If I lived in the area I would certainly come here. The restaurant was much larger on the inside than what it looks like on the outside. Recommended. read more

The fake flowers at the entrance should have been a sign. This was the worst resturant ever. The food was disappointing and it was way over priced. The prime rib dinner was horrible and way too much money for what you got. The walleye fish was terrible there was bones all through the whole thing and the skin was left on the bottom of the fish was gross. It was so pricy and not worth it read more

I've been dining here when they were at the old place next door. The perch dinner is great, and so is the Fish and Chips. But the best I think are the chicken wings. Whenever I get down there, I like to bring an order of chicken wings home with me. The next time you're in Dundee, give this place a whirl. You won't regret it. read more

One of the best chocolate martinis in sometime! 6.99 on Wednesdays. Tried their 5.99 smash ... yummy and tasty. Good service!

Stopped by with some family on the way home from the airport because my family wanted to grab a burger. It was my first time at this establishment so I decided to follow suit. I built my own burger with sautéed onions and bacon, and coming from someone that doesn't go bonkers for burgers, this was an awesome burger! The patty was perfectly seasoned and cooked to order, the toppings were fresh and bountiful, and the fries were the perfect compliment. I saw some reviews giving poor reviews of the burger and I can't help but to think that they came on an off day. The service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. I would absolutely come back to this establishment in the future. read more

Food was ok Service was great Ambiance was mellow for a pub Came here twice last week. Once for lunch, which we had the Buffalo Chicken wrap, which was nice but nothing to write home about. The side of coleslaw I ordered was ok. The cheese sticks were good but nothing over the top. I didn't send the Angry Orchard beer back but it was pretty flat and it honestly was more on the room temperature side than anything else. So I ordered a Michalob ULTRA. For dinner we had Steak, mash potatoes and Wisconsin pepper jack cheese bites. I asked Brandi if we could have butter, and could it be warmed up? she hesitated and said mmmmm well then said I gave it but it won't be hot?? For the price this is not worth it. read more

On July 12, 2024 we had a wedding rehearsal dinner here. We had a total of 35 people and were in a back room just for our party. Everything was great! The staff did a wonderful job taking and bringing our orders on a very timely basis. They were friendly and efficient. Our food was also very good. I first met the manager, Todd, in December 2023 when I was in town from Arizona. During the months beforehand I emailed Todd numerous times and he responded quickly every time. No complaints. read more

Great spot for watching sports and getting a pint with a big plate of wings. Great staff. Patrons were not wearing masks walking from their table to the bathroom or the front door, right past our high top table that was eye-level with us. I know it's a hot topic. Just something to note if that matters to you. Great beer selection scrolling on TVs around the restaurant. Huge TVs everywhere will not let you miss a minute of any game or event. We sat at a high top in the bar. Had to try the fried Pepper-Jack cheese bites. They were okay. The wings were excellent - fried and crispy. They do have outdoor seating in the parking lot when the weather is nice. read more

Service was slow, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Wife enjoyed her western burger & friends enjoyed her salad. However, my regular burger was SOOO bland. And another friend's chicken wrap was a as bland as they come. It's hit or miss here read more

This is another first me to visit. Seen it many times by driving past. Today was the day I dropped in there for a meal. It was me and my brother who visited here. Upon walking in (it was 2:30) weekday. Not busy at all, the bar maid greeted me with a smile, asked how many and what I'd like to drink. I told her my bro would join us soon. Looking around, I can see the attention to details this place had. The food was good, service was good and the atmosphere was great! I'll be back! It's a higher class over Applebees hands down! Still bar food but, better! read more

This place is ok but definitely needs improvement. They have a decent beer selection and menu but the food is hot and miss. On a recent visit I ordered 3 appetizers (pot stickers, quesadilla and chicken "chunks"). The pot stickers were very good, the quesadilla was fine but the chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it. It was pretty flavorless too. Service was ok. Not great. It's a nice enough place but kinda like an Applebees or TGI Fridays to be honest. Nice but very ordinary. And the place was dead inside. Maybe 4 other customers at 6:00 on a Thursday. It was the same last time I went. It could be a really cool place but definitely needs improvement. read more

Waitress was awesome! Burger was cooked okay. I asked for a medium and had mostly medium rare. It was Burger Patty. Most of the onions were delicious. However, some of the onions were hard and inedible. Fries were yummy. Then the bill came... $25 for a burger and fries with a D. Coke. WTF? That included an automatic charge for the kitchen staff. $9.74 at McDonalds seems pretty reasonable. read more

oh my gosh. went up to Milan MI to pick up my car that broke down 5 weeks ago and decided to stop at Cabellas to do some shopping and got hungry! So we stopped here and let me tell you, you will not be disappointed ! the food was fabulous but the service and staff was unbelievable. I have never seen such a hard working, courteous staff anywhere. Great job Great Lakes. we will be back!! read more

Ordered the Reuben , it said it came with a side . I ordered onion rings and received 7 small onion rings and was charged $3.99 because it was a "premium" side . Charges a kitchen fee whatever that is . On top of that the sandwich has absolutely no flavor whatsoever the kraut wasn't even flavorful. Used to like coming here, but I think I'm done. Service was above average but not exceptional. read more

Our waitress was very nice. The food was just ok. Got the fried pickles to start. Can't go wrong with those. I got a burger. Ordered medium came out well done and dry. My boyfriend got the meatloaf. It looked like two burger patties cooked well done and slapped on top of mashed potato's with gravy to cover what it actually was. Very bland and tasteless. Our son got a salad. Hard to get that wrong. $72 for the 3 of us plus they add a 3% charge to the kitchen. So on top of over paying for my food that was not at all worth it and tipping my server. I have to tip out the kitchen staff, who don't even do a good job in the first place. I was willing to give this place a second chance just try something different. But after seeing I also have to tip the cooks. Nope. I will never go back to that place ever again. I have never been to a restaurant where as a guest I have to tip the cooks and it's included in your final bill. read more

Not impressed sad to say. I'm usually pretty easy to please but not this time! For one the serving size was definitely not worth $16 I ordered the walleye platter that only came with one.....one piece of walleye . For the price it should of had at lest two pieces The fries tasted good and the walleye was good . The coleslaw was tasteless too. Needless to say I won't order this again! May try this place out one more time just because it might be an off night here !! The server was friendly but she did bring me the wrong beer. But I can drink any beer pretty much! read more

The 3 stars are only because my husband loved his steak and our waitress was friendly and efficient. The arbitrary 3% tip added for the "kitchen" to the bill is the reason we will never be back. Not to mention everything else we ordered was bland and dry...I mean, how do you make fried pickles and onion rings TASTELESS? . read more

We ate here on July 4th and had a great experience! While they appeared to be short staffed, our server Sam was as attentive as she could be. She had a large number of tables but kept a smile on her face and was very friendly. We enjoyed the fish lunch special and the pork sandwich. Had a few beers that were great too! We came for lunch on a sunday afternoon. It was the first (and last) time visiting. Our server was polite and kept our drinks filled. The fried pickles were good. I ordered the chef salad with blue cheese dressing. The dressing was yellow, which weirded me out. The burger that my bf had was alright. But what ruined the experience was a kitchen fee on my ticket. It's a small fee, but it pissed me off enough to never want to return. Stop doing this if you want people to come back. It's a garbage thing to do when food prices are already astronomical. read more

Service was slow. Skip the appetizers, we had the sampler and the queso and it all pretty much sucked. Queso was a small dish of cheese that I'm sure came in a bag and went right into the microwave. Sometimes the aforementioned is okay, but this one was barely passable and just not great at all. The chips are those thick round tortilla rounds, it should be paired with a lighter traditional tortilla chip. The chips it came with are my absolute least favorite tortilla chips. My boyfriend had the walleye and just the appearance of it made me feel physically ill. Also, this walleye is fried with the skin on it, not our preference. We prefer skin off. It was really lacking. I've had better fish at Long John Silvers. Everybody's fries were cold. The saving grace was my Lake Erie Melt, on marbled bread with bbq sauce. It was delicious. My boyfriend wished he would have got that over the walleye. read more

My son had taken his girlfriend one one of there first dates recently. He is 16 and new to doing thing on his own. He used his new bank card to pay the bill and left a cash tip. They had 2 burgers 2 fries and 2 root ears. The bill was 44 dollars, he left a 10 dollar cash tip. However when signing the receipt he did not put anything in the tip section. I seen the transaction on his bank that said 44 bucks was pending . Well we live 3 hours away and the next day he was charged 70 dollars. Someone decided to fill in the tip spot at well. We called them up as he still had his copy of the receipt and was told they cannot put back on card and not sure what happend . . Very disappointed in the actions of the people working there . Stopped in here on the way to get my Ercoupe. Not being from the area I pulled of the main highway headed to my destination and was getting hungry. Found this place. First parking in the back you would never know this place is open, no sign with open or hours at least none I seen. I walked in and smelled cleaning products, for me this wasn't the best due to they give me headaches, but again I was here and I was hungry. I figured cleaning products either meant they keep the place clean or someone had way too much to drink the night before. I sat down and looked over the menu. I decided on a burger and fires (Cowboy burger if I recall correctly). BBQ, Bacon, Burger... hello. I also ordered a water (remember I am there to get a plane). Went to the restroom which was nice and clean as well. After washing my hands, I came back to the table and didn't have to wait long and my burger showed up. It was a very good sized burger. I cut it in half to help eat. The fries were tasty and the burger was very good. I didn't finish all the fries because the burger was very large. Now it wasn't as good as say (Bones Burger in Montgomery Ohio), but I wasn't there. But I will say this, I will gladly stop back in for a burger or try one of their fish sandwiches (they sounded tasty) when back up this way. The young lady that was my waitress was training, at least that is what she told me, and she was very attentive and helpful with the menu. I thought she did a very good job. read more

UPDATE: We decided to give them a try again to see if there have been improvements since they moved to the new location. I would say the food is a lot better! Well, this was a disappointment. It looks like a good, inviting place on the outside. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. Way too much blue cheese and not enough buffalo sauce. The service was okay. Not sure why the hostess had to be my waitress. Everyone was friendly. They don't take American Express. I probably won't be back. I wish I'd gone to Jimmy John's down the street. Sorry read more

Food was tasty. Nothing special but good. The chips and queso have little to no flavor. The rest of it taste traditional. Service was good, again nothing special but good. Ambiance is your regular restaurant. For the prices, there are probably better options. Beware that there is a 3% kitchen charge. Their way of providing a monthly bonus to the kitchen. Personally I'm not a fan of that. I understand tipping waiters and waitresses but, it should stop there. They're on a different pay scale. Unless, this business doesn't pay their kitchen staff well? I do realize businesses are getting creative at retaining employees... it all rolls back on the customers. read more

My husband and I were just passing thru the area and decided to stop here for lunch. We were sure glad we did. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and even ordered two dinners to take home. We were seated very quickly as we got there not shortly after they opened. There was only one other couple there at the time. Social distancing was not an issue. The menu has a large variety of items. We ordered the cheese sticks and chips with queso for appetizers. The cheese sticks were crisp on the outside with melty mozzarella on the inside. The chips and queso were underwhelming. The chips could have been warm, and the queso tasted watered down. It's consistency was much too thin. For our meals, I had the chicken alfredo and my husband had the pot roast. Both meals exceeded our expectations. The chicken alfredo was very filling; perfectly grilled chicken and cooked pasta. The sauce was thick and rich. Had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. The pot roast sat on white bread covered with rich flavorful gravy and creamy mashed potatoes. It was so good, we ordered two more to take home! We will not be back as soon as we would like not only due to restrictions but the distance. If we ever venture back into this neck of the woods, we will definitely plan on dining here again. read more
