Nice dive bar vibes with good food an reasonable price drinks. If I lived here would likely be my regular hangout

One of the entrances - fear not, enter and find pool tables, plenty of taps, food and more.

I REALLY want to give them 4 stars, primarily for the wonderful servers. Other reviews were spot on. The entrance is not super welcoming (see photo), but the review helped me cross the threshold. Once inside, I agree, clean and such. (But why was someone allowed to smoke indoors? Is it a club like places claim in Indiana? There is some sort of beer club with mugs hanging from the ceiling.) The food was good. Big, juicy burger with tasty bun and toppings. Fries were fine. BBQ chicken pizza seemed a little overdone. Main problem was that it took a fairly long time, even though not many other people were eating. Maybe they are accustomed to folks having several beers and taking their time; I had to get my kid to a hockey game. Someone sent along fried Oreos. Something I probably would never order, but tried one out of curiosity- yum!

We came here to kill some time after our flight till check in at our hotel. Great service- even the lady who said it was her first day was really nice and checked on us frequently (even though we moved around a bit to play pool). Great regulars who were very talkative and got a hoot & a holler over the shot prices I mentioned from DC. S/o to Scotty with the Budlight bucket for welcoming us to Michigan! The lady who said she used to clean there was also very sweet. Everything here was reasonably priced. Got a bucket of millers, many shots of Jameson, played pool, & fed 3 people for under $100. We made sure to take care of the bartenders. We watched a man come in and try to give the staff issues about keno/trying to get money- the bartenders stood firm & handled the situation well. Food was decent. Not my favorite but my boyfriend really really LOVED the garlic Parmesan battered wings. They were not overly salty and wet like most places. They were crispy and lightly seasoned! Sooo many people raved about how good the food is so I'm putting a star on there because my group really liked it. I really enjoyed the basement bar look. If I could give any advice, I would make which doors are the entrances more clear- just any kind of sign. If I'm ever back in Michigan, I will be coming back here!!! Loved it!

Then we started to think about food and the server recommended the artichoke dip with homemade flatbread. It was absolutely amazing. The place is cool and the vibe is pretty chill. We were here in December so the patio wasn't open but looks roomy with many picnic tables. We opted to sit at the bar because that's usually where we get personal with brew pubs we love to discover. We always search local brews when traveling and 9/10 times the bartender will greet us, ask if we've been there, make recommendations or tell us a bit about the brewery style. Not here. I'm not sure the bartender ever even made eye contact and pretty sure he wanted to be there even less than he wanted us to be there. We did get a few beer samples by request, but no recommendations, he didn't ask what we thought and he made us feel very unwelcome right from the start. However, once that bartender was relieved the new bartender was chatty and friendly to the new customers. We had finished our beers and meal by that time and just needed to cash out. So I would say maybe it's just that one employee. We had the pretzels. Kudos to the pretzel bread-- it was delicious. Beer cheese was pretty good, as was the mustard. We asked about the menu and what he recommends (still trying to be friendly and get him to warm up). He recommended the special menu, so we ordered the Blackened Salmon sandwich. It was okay/average. Fries were cold. We ordered the Table Talk beer and I enjoyed it. I'd say that the beer was the best part of the whole experience. Overall I'm glad we tried it but we wouldn't go back. If the bartender had been more welcoming and interested in sharing a bit more about the concept, we would give it a second try when we head out there again. It's always good to try other food items and beers, but the vibe doesn't warrant a second try. I can understand if a place is busy, but we were there at 2pm on a Saturday and were two of four at the bar and he didn't look to be super busy with the restaurant as a whole. It's always so disappointing when service falls so short on something that could be such a unique experience. Three stars for the beer and pretzel.

I didn't realize they were fried versus baked. They were still pretty good. The cheese sauce was tasty. We ate them all! For my main dish I had chicken chunks with my dipping sauces on the side. The Parmesan garlic was funky in a way I didn't really like. The ranch and Caribbean were awesome. I wish the dish would have come with more than two pieces of celery but overall it was worth ordering. If I lived in the area I would certainly come here. The restaurant was much larger on the inside than what it looks like on the outside. Recommended.

I really hate to leave negative reviews, but my experience today warrants it. I stopped by this…read moreDundee, MI location because it was halfway between Ann Arbor and Temperance, MI. I was in a lot of pain from a presumed leg injury and parked as close as possible. There were lots of potholes and a step without railings. Not good for preventing potential falls. Once inside, the ambiance was very lackluster. It was basically a sports bar and that was okay. I just wanted a meal and a break from driving. My server was very sweet and young, but clearly inexperienced. I ordered a drink before ordering my entree' but the drink came after my entree'. Her response was that the bartender was new and stressed out. Okay.., The food was just okay. I ordered a chicken sandwich with guacamole and bruschetta on top. I mentioned to my server that the chicken was very dry and difficult to cut. I also mentioned that the swiss cheese was barely detectable. She apologized but didn't offer management intervention. By the end, I didn't want to struggle any longer in trying to cut the overcooked and dry chicken. When I asked for the check, I pointed out nicely that my dissatisfaction with parts of the meal should have been brought to the manager's attention. Rather than raise a conflict over the bill, I paid it but don't ever plan to return. I overheard someone at a booth across from mine also expressing dissatisfaction with what he'd ordered, though not sure if he was complaining within his circle or whether he actually told the server- not that it would have mattered. It appears that this restaurant has some training issues for its young and inexperienced staff members.
