The food is good beer selection is terrific and the service is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I have stopped in a handful of times this year and have always had a good experience, whether we're just there for drinks or for drinks and food. Service behind the bar is always friendly and prompt. Shots are generous. When you order a pint, it's an Imperial pint, and prices are great at $5 - $6 depending what you get. Their food menu is standard bar favorites with a few Irish staples mixed in. I've enjoyed all the food I've ordered. I feel this is one of those rare places that hasn't completely jacked up prices "due to COVID" which is rare almost three years into this monster. The crowd tends to lean 45+++. I'm always the youngest person there besides the waitress. This isn't a spot to get rowdy. But you will find plenty of TVs, pull tabs, Keno, a TouchTunes jukebox and darts, if any of those tickle your fancy. Great food and awesome Irish bar just around the corner from the house. We have been living here for about 6 years now. What's funny is we decided to spend our date nite here. We told the waitress this was our first time. She greeted us with a big smile and warm welcome. All your Irish drinks are here and beers. Try their buffalo wings just remember medium can be just a little hot. They have 15% discount for all first responders and veterans I just felt right at home. I contacted local adult beverage guru, Allison F. to get her advice on a good Irish pub in the area. She recommended one of her nearby watering holes called Dunleavy's. Now, it's not so much a pub as it is more of a friendly neighborhood bar with some Irish trappings. The folks there are warm and welcoming in any case, so it fit the bill just fine. The afternoon bartender lady was super friendly. She offered me a food menu and it seemed to have a good variety of bar type foods at reasonable prices. I wasn't really hungry so I passed on the eats but I did go for a couple Irish brews. I enjoyed one each, Smithwick's and Guiness. Been coming here for years for beers. Thought I'd stop in for lunch on a Saturday for a 1/2 pound ground round, ordered medium well. It took longer than expected even though they weren't busy. Came pretty pink in the middle for medium well, arguably the 1/3 patty and not the 1/2, and wasn't warm enough to melt the cheese. Came here for a cold beer and burger after work and at 25% capacity you wouldn't think it would take over an hour for a burger and a Ruben sandwich. By the time my food got to me (which I asked about at least 3 times) it was cold, dry and super salty. Beer was cold and good but my beer has been empty since after my first 25 minutes here. Been here 2 hours now and still no fresh beer. Server was nice but not very tentative. Bottom line, I'm gonna end up getting this burger to go and giving it to my dog or something. I use to always eat here pre Covid. Tonight was the first night I have went there in a few years and I will not be going back. The entire staff, except for the bartender, was not wearing a mask at all. From where I was sitting I could see into the kitchen and the two cooks were also not wearing masks at all. They let customers walk around without wearing masks as well. The food also was not as good as it use to be. It seems the entire bar went downhill the past few years. After about ten minutes approaches me like a chore and calls me bud. Felt disrespected by him after I asked for a menu and he had a sly remark as if I wasn't worthy. Been here before and has have had great service only by the female staff. Like the food and atmosphere unfortunately ignorance rubs me the wrong way as a tipping consumer. I was here on a sunday night for an Irish music event. They have the usual bar food, burgers, wings, and so on. The burgers were excellent. Big and juicy and about half the price of the burger I paid for at a more trendy place a couple of days before. And I enjoyed this one twice as much! The atmosphere has a well lived in look of an Irish pub which is exactly what it is. In fact, I visited here over 20 years ago and i do not think anything has changed. Old but it is very clean. The waitresses were real friendly and lots of beer choices. I might make this my new headquarters. read more

Fun bar to go to, it's not usually too noisy or two crowded, and there is a lot of seating in addition to an outdoor patio area. It's more of an older crowd clientele (read, not college kids) and I have seen families in their as well. The food is really good with nice sized portions, and the menu has a lot of variety. I had the Shrimp and Perch dinner and was told by our waitress it came with 4 shrimp and three perch, it actually came with three shrimp and two perch. The shrimp are jumbo size and the perch was about 4" - 5" long and thick, so those two items along with the fries and Cole slaw it came with makes for a filling meal. Our waitress, Joann, was very personable and attentive, and provided excellent customer service. It's a family owned business and has been for many years, and it shows.
