Was not impressed. First time visitors. My wings were awfu, way overcooked and dry...swimming in sauce. The tuna sandwich was terrible, with a side of chips crumbs. 25cents for club soda in a mixed drink?!?! Just not a good experience. read more

The newly remodeled Dunlevy's has retained the trappings of this storied establishment while managing to update the decor and the menu. The food is good beer selection is terrific and the service is absolutely wonderful. If you were a fan of the old Dunlevy's or you hated the old Dunlevy's give this one another try it's worth it. read more

We have been here several times and usually have a good time however, this time was exceptionally concerning. We were regularly ignored by the bartender and then when we finally got to order, it was shift change and we got parts of our appetizer with the promise the rest would appear (spoiler alert; it didn't until we finished our dinner) and then our entree. We watched the cook (bald guy) raw dog the food without proper PPE. This dude was handling the food with his bare hands after he picked his nose and sticking his hands in his mouth as I watched him eat pickles out of the containers he has in the kitchen. Straight disgusting. As soon as we finished, we received the rest of our appetizer. Our bartender said she would take care of it. $3.15 for the actual forgetting of the appetizer completion. Are you for real? The catastrophe that was the kitchen and service staff that gathered in the corner like a bunch of school girls was not even worth the complaint to management. Do better or get better. read more

Great owners! Love this place on St. Pattys day and year round. One of my bucket list items is visiting Dunleavys in Allen Park. Love the family that owns this place. Love the coat of arms and the fish on fridays for Lent. Can't wait to have a Guinness! read more

Dunleavy's - Having fun on st pattys day - Irish Pub Near Me - Allen Park, Michigan

My husband and I have stopped in a handful of times this year and have always had a good experience, whether we're just there for drinks or for drinks and food. Service behind the bar is always friendly and prompt. Shots are generous. When you order a pint, it's an Imperial pint, and prices are great at $5 - $6 depending what you get. Their food menu is standard bar favorites with a few Irish staples mixed in. I've enjoyed all the food I've ordered. I feel this is one of those rare places that hasn't completely jacked up prices "due to COVID" which is rare almost three years into this monster. The crowd tends to lean 45+++. I'm always the youngest person there besides the waitress. This isn't a spot to get rowdy. But you will find plenty of TVs, pull tabs, Keno, a TouchTunes jukebox and darts, if any of those tickle your fancy. I am glad I discovered Dunleavy's and look forward to more visits in the future. read more

I contacted local adult beverage guru, Allison F. to get her advice on a good Irish pub in the area. She recommended one of her nearby watering holes called Dunleavy's. Now, it's not so much a pub as it is more of a friendly neighborhood bar with some Irish trappings. The folks there are warm and welcoming in any case, so it fit the bill just fine. The afternoon bartender lady was super friendly. She offered me a food menu and it seemed to have a good variety of bar type foods at reasonable prices. I wasn't really hungry so I passed on the eats but I did go for a couple Irish brews. I enjoyed one each, Smithwick's and Guiness. Both were smaller sized pours but they were reasonably priced at $5 each. Two beers, ten dollars? Sounds good to me. If I lived in the area, I'd go there from time to time. 5 Stars read more

Great food and awesome Irish bar just around the corner from the house. We have been living here for about 6 years now. What's funny is we decided to spend our date nite here. We told the waitress this was our first time. She greeted us with a big smile and warm welcome. All your Irish drinks are here and beers. Try their buffalo wings just remember medium can be just a little hot. They have 15% discount for all first responders and veterans I just felt right at home. Ask for Casandra Dunleavys yes it's still family own she is the best. That is all. Chief If you ever doubt then just trust yourself first. read more

Overcharged for meal and beer by cents... customers beware!! They're scamming their customers office space style. Waitress was mad we asked it to be fixed and was super rude after. CHECK YOUR BILL! Side note- paying by credit is extra (common these days) read more

The food was very tasty and the service was very good. We had 4 people and all ordered different meals. From the burger to the chicken sandwich all were tasty read more

Been coming here for years for beers. Thought I'd stop in for lunch on a Saturday for a 1/2 pound ground round, ordered medium well. It took longer than expected even though they weren't busy. Came pretty pink in the middle for medium well, arguably the 1/3 patty and not the 1/2, and wasn't warm enough to melt the cheese. I'll be back for the beer, but won't be eating there again soon. read more

Came here for a cold beer and burger after work and at 25% capacity you wouldn't think it would take over an hour for a burger and a Ruben sandwich. By the time my food got to me (which I asked about at least 3 times) it was cold, dry and super salty. Beer was cold and good but my beer has been empty since after my first 25 minutes here. Been here 2 hours now and still no fresh beer. Server was nice but not very tentative. Bottom line, I'm gonna end up getting this burger to go and giving it to my dog or something. Very disappointed which sucks because the person we came here with loves this place and swore it was amazing. My first impression was definitely under par and sad to say I won't be back. read more

I use to always eat here pre Covid. Tonight was the first night I have went there in a few years and I will not be going back. The entire staff, except for the bartender, was not wearing a mask at all. From where I was sitting I could see into the kitchen and the two cooks were also not wearing masks at all. They let customers walk around without wearing masks as well. The food also was not as good as it use to be. It seems the entire bar went downhill the past few years. I won't be going back. read more

I've now been here enough I feel safe rating it 5 stars! Every experience I've had has been positive and fun! The bartender there Wednesday evenings is an older gentleman. You would think he owns the joint just from how friendly and accommodating he is. There's lots of space, games (keno, darts, pinball, and video golf) and a TouchTunes juke box. I now make it a point to stop here for drinks whenever I'm in the area!! read more

Great Burgers and great fish and chips... $8.75 for a hearty platter of fish and chips. Hand trimmed and dipped in beer batter Try the perch "dry" instead of bear batter... More of a thin cornmeal coating than a heavy beer batter which is always too heavy for a delicate fish like perch... One of the best bar burgers around and plenty of choices to pick from The Dunleavys have been in the bar business forever and understand what an Irish pub should be like.. Lots of regulars but all are welcome! It's Family owned for a long time so prices are cheap as they probably have no mortgage or rent like most bars do... read more

If you are in a rush do no bother coming here. Have been multiple times and have never waited more than 30 minutes. I waited here more than an hour for my dinner. Appetizer came with the dinner an hour later. Don't waste your time. read more

Sat down at the bar after a hard day of work only to be ignored by the male bartender who I assume owns the place the way he held his nose up high. After about ten minutes approaches me like a chore and calls me bud. Felt disrespected by him after I asked for a menu and he had a sly remark as if I wasn't worthy. Been here before and has have had great service only by the female staff. Like the food and atmosphere unfortunately ignorance rubs me the wrong way as a tipping consumer. A little let down by the supposed owner of a potentially great establishment. read more

I was here on a sunday night for an Irish music event. They have the usual bar food, burgers, wings, and so on. The burgers were excellent. Big and juicy and about half the price of the burger I paid for at a more trendy place a couple of days before. And I enjoyed this one twice as much! The atmosphere has a well lived in look of an Irish pub which is exactly what it is. In fact, I visited here over 20 years ago and i do not think anything has changed. Old but it is very clean. The waitresses were real friendly and lots of beer choices. I might make this my new headquarters. read more

This place has amazing food, and delicious bloody marys. I highly recommend this bar to anyone in the allen park area.

Fun bar to go to, it's not usually too noisy or two crowded, and there is a lot of seating in addition to an outdoor patio area. It's more of an older crowd clientele (read, not college kids) and I have seen families in their as well. The food is really good with nice sized portions, and the menu has a lot of variety. I had the Shrimp and Perch dinner and was told by our waitress it came with 4 shrimp and three perch, it actually came with three shrimp and two perch. The shrimp are jumbo size and the perch was about 4" - 5" long and thick, so those two items along with the fries and Cole slaw it came with makes for a filling meal. Our waitress, Joann, was very personable and attentive, and provided excellent customer service. It's a family owned business and has been for many years, and it shows. Definitely a regular place to go to whenever I'm in town. read more
