I'll have leftovers for days Alisha was our waitress and she was a ray of sunshine. I felt bad taking away and adding ingredients to my dish but they have so many options for different dietary restrictions that it makes it worth coming back to. It felt so homey and definitely gives old timey vibes. I'd definitely recommend

The atmosphere in this place is just outstanding you definitely walk in and the decor catches your eye in a light and comfortable way. The place is sparkling clean, and the food, let me just say I will be back to probably try everything on their menu at one time or another. LOL, not kidding. I ordered the breakfast lasagna, we ordered the monkey bread for the middle of the table, my friends ordered the Dubai chocolate French toast. Not a complaint one. Seriously usually someone has something to say critical, this place is outstanding. How have I never found it before. Good job Anna whoever you are?

This place is a nice size, they have an outside patio area for the nice days. Our waitress was super nice and on point with service. Ordered the 9oz Tropical Mimosa and it came in tall glass and was very good. I ordered the Jerk Wings, they were good but the sauce was more of a habanero spice that was too spicy for me. I also had a side of the collard greens that were a little too sweet for my liking and I tried a cup of the Gumbo that was very good and flavorful. My daughter got the shrimp and grits they were amazing, she also had a waffle and it was good. The waitress gave us two beignets for free since it was our first time. My daughter said they were good. I will most definetly go back to try other items.

I've been to the French Toast Bistro location in Plymouth more times than I can count - even before…read moreit became a brunch place solely. The Canton restaurant is newer but just as popular. There was a long line of customers, but the wait was tolerable, barely 10 minutes. The restaurant is much larger and brighter; the large windows allow in more light. Service was quick, allowing more customers to be served. My rule for dining out is to select dishes I don't make well at home due to a lack of skill or ingredients. So here, it meant a lobster omelette and pancakes. Yes, I'm a failure with pancakes, despite the numerous, numerous times I've attempted them. One, I rarely keep milk at home, and two, my pancakes tend to burn. Sigh. The pancakes here are fluffy and delicious. I even liked the fake, thick pancake syrup served here. The omelette was savory and well-prepared. My friend had the baked French Toast, which looked appetizing and dessert-like. Service was quick and responsive.

After some time of waiting, they continued seating multiple groups that came in after us taking the tables of 4 that were available. They even seated the couple behind us in line at a 4 person table. I asked the hostess about my group and if I should take them elsewhere as they kept seating people behind us in line. She responded and said "it will be more time for your group. Looking to get tables close to each other". I told her that the reason why we stuck around was to get seated and was fine with splitting, as already discussed. Another table got sat ahead of us shortly after this conversation happened. My group instantly felt disrespected and not welcomed - which led to our group unanimously voting to leave. Unfortunate experience. Maybe just caught them on a bad day.

My husband and I just ordered the blueberry pancakes because you get three huge ones and order of sausage which was another four. He also wanted eggs and it was all delicious and perfect. The blueberries are inside the pancakes where they should be and they added some on top. Also, loose fresh blueberries. And you know pancakes are good when you can just use butter and no syrup.! I do that at first but later use a little syrup to top it off. We loved "Jonny cakes"and we highly recommend it.

We stopped in here for brunch after spending the weekend in Livonia. I'd made reservations, and…read morewhen we arrived a few minutes early, although it was very crowded, our party of three was seated immediately. I had the triple triple omelet, with bacon, ham, sausage, and three different kinds of cheese. It was packed full of ingredients and very, very good. Unlike some omelets, it had plenty of cheese. I opted for fruit on the side, which was a nice serving of melon and grapes. I also opted for an English muffin instead of toast or a pancake, which was perfect. I asked for the English muffin hot with lots of butter, and she brought me about eight pats, which was definitely too much, but I appreciated that there was plenty! My daughter also had the same omelet, and said she enjoyed hers. My husband had two eggs over easy, with potatoes, bacon, and pancakes, and said it was nothing special, but good. What set the Hudson Café apart was that they had alcoholic breakfast cocktails, so I tried the espresso martini. Delicious! The whipped cream on top was especially good. I ended up having two! (Oops!) I'm looking forward to visiting again the next time we're in the Detroit area.
