I had gone all over Long Beach & Lakewood, searching for a shop to fix it, little did I know no one wanted to touch the Surface computers because of how difficult they are to replace. i have come into the shop to have other phones looked at and fixed or told the repair was worth more than the phone. This time, screen needed replacing after I dropped phone. Screen did not break, but acted funny. So much for shock proof case. Screen was replaced at a reasonable price, and based on available in stock item. Disappointed water proof seal not could not be reapplied with new screen. My experience is guys are fair and honest about repairs. Arrived here with a broken LCD not broken glass they told me the solution would be to replace the whole screen assembly for $90 and that it would take 1hr, (as I was standing next to sign that read get your iPhone fixed in 20 minutes). But somehow they were able to squeeze me in and get it repaired within 20 to 30 minutes. Right off the bat it was kinda of weird that they only took cash and sent me a cross street to grab money out of the ATM. When he came out with my phone it read locked for incorrect passcode five minutes wait no big deal the phone had just been repaired when I came back from the ATM it read 15 minutes I had asked him what happen why it's was 10 mins more he said it was always 15 mins. What was going on was that the screen was faulty and had some phantom touch problems. I didn't realize after I got home and schedule appointment for the next day when I came back they gave me a new screen so I thought great no big deal had the same problem again within a matter of hours so I came three days later and asked for a solution. Their solution was that they would hold it for a whole day and troubleshoot it and more than likely he was leaning towards diagnosing with some other problems, thermal heating something he said and it would cost more. I told him I would rather not do that and if I can just get my money back he said he would only give me $50 out of the $90 I took it just to stop dealing with a headache and inconvenience The weird part was when I took it to another shop and had repaired I had no issues whatsoever if for whatever reason I would had similar issues I would have written these review. This should tell you all you need to know that Ace Tech warranted my first actual review. My experience with Ace Tech was superb. Last month, my iPad mini2 would not turn on/charge. I tried using multiple combinations of charging cables both official lightning and generic, various charging ports (computer, official Apple box, USB outlets); I tried to perform a system reset (per instructions I discovered on the Googles) all to no avail. I made an appointment at the Apple store in Cerritos as my last effort thinking that if I returned my device to the mothership then surely they would have the answer to my prayers. It turns out, they did have an answer: "We can't run any diagnostics because it won't turn on, you can just buy a replacement with approximately the same specs for $250". NOT the kind of assistance I was looking for. Thanks for the up-sell "genius bar"--go kick rocks. My journey then took me to the crowd sourced wisdom of Yelp where I stumbled upon a local business (gotta love supporting my peeps in the LBC) which came highly reviewed. At this point, what do I have to lose? I dropped off my ipad, and was told that diagnostics would be run but if a new battery would be warranted, the whole service would cost less than 50% of what the ghost of Steve Jobs wanted to charge me. This is where the story takes a strange turn: I get an email from Erick stating that after thorough inspection, lo and behold my ipad powered up and was able to hold it's charge, no battery change necessary, a Festivus miracle! He said I would be able to pick up my device and since the proposed battery change didn't occur, that there would be NO CHARGE!!! This news could not have come at a better time as I actually use this device during my day job as a physician and Governor Newsom had just issued the stay-at-home order to combat the spread of COVID-19. To Ace Tech's credit, they defied a gubernatorial decree (please don't arrest them) and stayed open to make sure my brother could pick up my device which has subsequently allowed me to continue to serve my patients in these crazy times. I guess in summary, Ace Tech saves lives. Thanks for indulging my creative writing itch but in all seriousness, if you're looking for some computer help, in my humble opinion, you should do yourself a favor and give the good people at Ace Tech a go. read more

they aren't very welcoming, nor attentive, nor could they fix my phone which only needed the speakers cleaned that i got done for $10.00. my iPhones speaker was muffled and i needed to get it fixed, so i came here and they charged me $65.00 and didnt even fix my phone... it sounded exactly the same. They refunded me but they sure wasted my time, because i got my iphone fixed for only $10.00 from an actual PROFESSIONAL TECH. My usual repair guy I use was extremely busy doing honest work, So unfortunately I WENT into ace tech for a screen replacement(small crack) quoted $100 to fix left it there for an hour came back, instantly phone started acting wierd. Took it to my original guy I use FEW DAYS LATER WHEN I NOTICED THE SCREEN THEY REPLACED WAS REALLY CHEAP LOOKING AND DIDNT WORK RIGHT. To make a long story short, MY "honest" repair guy had told me : ace tech had taken out working parts and replaced them with cheap junk, they even installed android parts into my iphone UNREAL! The customer service at the Apple store is very pretty and nice on the surface, but they literally did not want to help me because they would rather I upgrade. One call to Ace tech and they had a battery in stock and replaced it in an hr after I dropped it off! And it cost $5 less than the ordered battery at the Apple store. We recently visited Ace Tech for iPhone battery replacement on 2 phones. Service was quick, they have a small sitting area while you wait. Very reasonable rates and they delivered as expected, around 1 hour for both. Interestingly, while there we found out they also do data recovery. I had an old SD memory card for a camera which I thought was the one that fell out of my jacket on the motorcycle doing 80. Eric happily looked at the card I mailed but didn't find anything. I must have thrown the bad card away earlier. My mistake! Don't throw anything away because I'm sure they can retrieve the data there!
