In response to the owner the issue is first you had no idea what happened. You asked the girl then what happened. I watched as a stranger came out of an alleyvway and put his dirty hands on my order and spoon then tried to hand it to me. Your employee made it look as if the order was for this gentleman. She said your order and i had no idea if the order was for me or him. If it was my order then why did she look like a deer in head lights when he grabbed it? She should have said NO THIS IS NOT YOURS to that gentleman. Then she was dumbfounded that I told her no way in HELL am i taking that order. And to make another one as you didn't offer to make one. Its shocking with covid19 she and you in your response would even assume I would take it after some random stranger put his hands all over it. You admit that unless I stated something you wouldn't have replaced my order. Even without covid that's just disgusting!! And you forgot the granola to top it off!!!. And the first bowl had way more in it than the 2nd bowl. That's why i said just leave the granola on side too much incompetence for one order and I was fed up. If you want to improve implementing a name system for orders would help you. Also work on training your employees on health and safety. Next time a situation like this happens with someone else you should probably just admit you screwed up and comp them. All the best. read more

Gem of a spot in Altadena. The bowls are super fresh and the combination is exquisite. The people at the counter are friendly and helpful. They overhear us muttering the combinations and immediately jump in and say you can make your own combinations. This sounds silly but a lot of lot of these kinds of shops hire people who don't care. This place is delicious. The Acai base is not like a smoothie consistency, but more like a sorbet. It is the perfect amount of sweet. They have a very good variety of toppings. I ordered the mixed fruit, and it tastes fresh and sweet. The staff is very nice and they let me try the Acai base to know what it tasted like. The aesthetic of the shop is also very nice. The açaí here has a nice consistency with a good fruit flavor. A lot of other places I have been to for açaí tend to have a pretty bland-tasting mix so coming across this newly-opened açaí joint was a nice surprise. I had a nature (small) bowl with fresh fruit, hemp, and bee pollen and it definitely hit the spot for me. All the ingredients tasted very fresh. The quality of their Acai is superb - smooth texture with no ice crystals, fresh toppings, generous portions and a very reasonable price. Just found out they have a location in the gym @speakeasy Pasadena and when I went there they now have meals, healthy true fitness meals and so much verity. Wish I could give a 4.5 star. It's a almost a 5 but I had to knock a star off because my bowl which has the option of 3 toppings was sadly scant on the coconut. I chose fruit, peanut butter & coconut. Fruit was great and I loved the assortment, peanut butter was great and you tasted it in each bite but the coconut was such a big huge bummer... since it's being counted as a topping and not a garnish, they should have definitely provided a more generous portion. The açaí itself was really great. So I'm mostly posting the 4 star to catch management's attention and hope they can do some quality control on that. Either way, I'll definitely be giving it another try and hoping that I get more of whatever 3rd topping I choose next time. Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend you try. Understanding this is covid and times are rough, AND this business has the best Acai bowls hands down. However, the past three times I'm buying Acai here, I have to wait 30 min for my order. Customers wait in the heat with no shelter and many times people that order after you with same amount of orders get there's first. The person working has not figured a way to process orders efficiently. Today while waiting in 100 degree heat, a mom with 2 kids in stroller's order was past over by 3 customers that ordered after her. Also the guy behind me ordered two Acai bowls, as did I and he received his before us, he even commented that this was whack. They are allowing online orders and this may be part of the problem- too many orders for one person to make and they get flustered and confused on what is coming in at different times. Online orders were melting to the side waiting for their owners, while outside customers wait 30 min and are melting... not sure I would recommend at this time- or recommend giving yourself plenty of time if you do order. The restaurant next door could make a complete meal in the time you get your Acai bowl. read more
