Nicole is the esthetician who runs her business inside of the Reserve Salon & Spa, which is what you will find when you pull up the address in google maps. This business is within the Towne Lake Shopping center square and Cypress Wax Spa is located on the second floor in Room # 4. There is a very friendly receptionist when you enter from the 2nd floor, and numbers are posted outside of the Rooms/Suites. I was 10 minutes late because it was a bit unclear where the actual spa was located , but it was not a stressful experience because everyone was so friendly and helpful. Anyway, the entire experience was better than I actually anticipated. Nicole's station is immaculate, organized, and clean, and she is clearly well educated in her field, utilizing first class products. It was the most painless experience I've ever had, and she employs a plethora of organic and natural oils throughout the entire process. For my wax she did a quick refresh over my bikini area using jasmine cleansers and lavender oils, and then she communicated ingredients in what she was using when as she applied the product. She used both soft and hard wax, and walked me through her process every step of the way. What I really appreciated was her telling me when I would expect a more intense sensation during the waxing and when to breathe out since it had been a while due to being traumatized a few months back. She was consistently gentle in her approach and skill. Her communication skills were excellent. She did upsell me during my wax, but her pricing is extremely reasonable and the results are amazing. I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes when your esthetician is well versed in her craft and takes true pleasure in educating her clientele during the process. I was in the hands of a true professional, and I even went in for letting her use a high-frequency tool post waxing to reduce the breakout in a few spots caused by an ingrown hairs. Bottom line: Nicole knows what she's doing. She is a highly emotionally intelligent professional, she reads her customers body language ,and is not there to herd people in and out. She is fully focused on you from start to finish, and I will be returning soon.

The studio is clean, well lit and the staff were welcoming. My waxer had a gentle touch so it was easy breezy. Took all of 5-7 minutes and we were done. After my service, I checked out at the desk. They did ask me if I wanted to leave a tip, which I always do, but stop asking us. It's uncomfortable and unnecessary. But overall, it was a good experience. There's also plenty of parking so it makes the experience even easier.

About a year ago this location was bought by a new owner and they started making changes. It's taken about a year, and I'm finally over it and making my final decision and reviewing. First issue, when the new owner came around she let go many of the seasoned employees and all of the waxers that I was familiar with were replaced or left. Most of the new staff were friendly (some had major attitude issues) but it was hard to find someone I really liked (gotta feel pretty comfortable with someone in order for them to be touching around in my private areas). Just recently after a year of trying to find a good provider, it seems there has been another mass exodus of employees and everyone is new again. New isn't bad, but inexperience is. I've now seen 4 different girls and all of their wax techniques are different. Some use HUGE strips and some you can tell are rushing. Every time I leave, I'm in throbbing pain and the area that was waxed is very tender. This is not something that use to happen in the past. But now, this past year under new ownership, I don't think I've left feeling 100% satisfied about a wax once. Secondly, it seems that they are cutting costs and corners in some of the most ridiculous places. They switched the pre-wax wipes to these garbage wipes that are so flimsy they rip when you try to use them. The draping paper towels they use are smaller and more see through as well. It's little things that once you've been coming to a business for years, you notice when they change, and especially when they change for the worse. Lastly, three times in a row now when I arrive for my appointment during business hours, the front door is locked and no one is at the front desk to notice to open the door for me. I have to call the number and ask to be let in. This location is not in a sketchy part of town and there is absolutely no reason for the front door of an establishment to be locked during business hours. If you want to have the front door locked, then there should be a team member at the front ready to open the door at all times. Customer should not have to stand outside and wait to be let in after they call. I am not planning on canceling my membership, but I might try out a different location that's not owned by this person. I use to love Waxing the City and would rave about how great the membership was. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone now.

On top of that, my hair ended up noticeably darker overall than what I wanted in the first place. I also went in for what should've been a simple trim, and way more length came off than I asked for (and I've spent years trying to grow out my hair). At the end of the day, I paid a lot of money and went through multiple appointments, and I still didn't get the color or the cut I asked for. Really disappointing for the price.

One girl that works there is always courteous and so talented and helpful. Her name is Naveen. Naveen is awesome! She is nice and a pleasure to have my eyebrows done from. She even recommended a facial to help with my skin issues which I will schedule with her soon. And she recommended tinting my eyebrows in order to make them appear thicker. My only complaint is that this time when I went there was a different girl sitting behind the register and she was very rude to me as well as some other customers that were there with me. She also seemed to have trouble ringing up the right amount on the register. I think she said her name was Furhoeza. Someone needs to take that Furhoeza to a customer service and politeness class. I definitely don't want to go back there when she's there. If it wasn't for Naveen's talent, I would be tempted to just find a different salon. read more

I have major trust issues when it comes to my eyebrows. When I walked into AAINA brow bar I was greeted by Rana she was very nice & friendly. She took the time to explain to me what she was going to do with my eyebrows and even stated that she would help me grow my eyebrows back , she also handed me a mirror , that way I could see exactly what she explained to me. She was very detailed and took her time to break everything down step by step about my eyebrows. She definitely reassured me that everything was going to be fine. She was very gentle as well. When we came back for our next visit, is when we met Maha and (we) my daughter and I fell in love with her work!!!!!! His toenails and fingernails were perfectly even ( he's a nail-biter). He said the leg massage was very relaxing; he especially enjoyed the hot stones they used. I also received the same pedicure service: relaxing, calming, and rejuvenating. You can pick the exfoliating scrub you want, and I chose lavender. The leg massage was amazing, soothing, and breathtaking. I also had a full pearl set with buffing (no clear gel polish). Diane gave me the exact look I was looking for; she shaped and buffed to perfection ( in my opinion). I also requested paraffin wax on my hands; that was life! My hands felt so soft, brighter, and younger. I would recommend this at every visit; it's a must-have! They have several colors to choose from. They offer drinks, like water, Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, and Pepsi, which are nice and cold. The towels smell super fresh, not to mention the establishment is very clean. The prices are priced well! Service is fast and they will be sure to turn on that timer to only give u the 5 minutes they put it on for while "so called messaging " over all experience 2. The color was ok and they don't remove too much off your toes...

I'm a licensed cosmetologist myself and I know steps were skipped. In order to finish my nails quickly, 2 people filed and shaped them which resulted in them being uneven, not sharp, shaped opposite. I also just needed a refill and I was charged 60 for JUST a refill. Crazy. I could've spent $30-40 at another nail salon.
