I really wanted to love this place. The stylists and the manager were all professional and nice to work with, that part isn't the issue. But honestly, after spending over $700, I'm just really disappointed with how everything turned out. My highlights came out chunky and uneven, nothing like the soft, blended, lived-in look I asked for (in addition, the blowout I got during my first appointment was the WORST blowout I have had in my entire life). I went back twice to get it fixed, and I could tell they were genuinely trying, but it still wasn't right. The tone at my crown didn't match my ends, there was brassiness that never fully went away, and now, a few washes later, that brassiness is already creeping back. On top of that, my hair ended up noticeably darker overall than what I wanted in the first place. I also went in for what should've been a simple trim, and way more length came off than I asked for (and I've spent years trying to grow out my hair). At the end of the day, I paid a lot of money and went through multiple appointments, and I still didn't get the color or the cut I asked for. Really disappointing for the price. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SALON! My mom and I were in Houston for an event and made an appointment at Bella Rinova in advance to have our hair blown out and styled on Saturday the 8th. I made us appointments to be seen at the same time, however, while I was able to get my hair done, my mom was not because her stylist was supposedly finishing up highlights her entire appointment time. My hair was basically done, and my mom had still not been seen despite having an appointment at this supposedly "luxury" salon. While someone did offer to wash and dry her hair they were unable to finish drying it as we've already been at the salon for almost an hour and 40 minutes, which is ridiculous considering the appointments were only supposed to take 50 minutes. At this point, we were worried that we were going to be late for the event due to the weather and the salon, and the situation was extremely stressful for us so we left. While the salon did not charge us for my mom's appointment she was extremely upset and was in tears by the time we got out of the salon. This is not the way to treat clients. Clearly, my mother was bumped for some other perhaps more important client that wanted their hair done, which made her feel terrible and extremely disrespected. My hair was beautiful and my stylist, Mary, did a great job, as did the people who tried to wash and dry my mother's hair, but the way the salon is run and operated is horrible, and I would never recommend going here, especially with how much it costs. Making an appointment at an establishment and just never being seen is honestly insane. We probably would have been treated better at a super cuts. I almost never leave yelp or google reviews because even if I have a bad experience at a business I usually chalk it up to it just being a bad day for the staff or something, but this was unforgivable. After two excellent haircuts by Alex this morning I was treated to the most horrible haircut of my life basically a marine buzz haircut!!! Two weeks before Christmas! It was so bad. The receptionist volunteered not to charge me for the haircut and she did not charge me for the haircut, but I'm still left with a bald head for the holidays. Very expensive here. Not sure if I'll be back. But I was happy with my outcome. Just my pocket wasn't...ha-ha. I hated my blow dry. I didn't like the going in with a a flat iron and flipping my ends with this humid air in Texas that didn't hold up good at all. I then decided this was no longer the salon of luxury and decided to not reschedule at all. Consumers can choose to spend their $400 hair expense anywhere they are treated with respect. Three hours later, I received an infringing call at my place of employment from Lynnette Davis. She was accusing me of lying about Black ice safety and icy road conditions. Tracked me down at my job to validate her narrative and validate her irrational customer treatment. Poor leadership and poor business practices. I have been on the hunt for a go-to hairstylist for routine haircuts for a while now, and after my recent visit, it's safe to say I still haven't found one. This is a gorgeous salon with fast and friendly service. It's very clean and spacious with lots of lighting so it feels very comfortable. I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars, because I'm only jacking down the rating because I don't LOVE my haircut. I scheduled an appointment with Alex, and he was very quick to take care of me. He's a very chill, friendly guy, but I couldn't help but to feel like my haircut was rushed and almost careless. I don't hate my haircut, because it wasn't that drastic of a change anyways, but I don't feel the best about it. All in all, the experience was pretty great but my results were not so great. I've already written a glowing review about my colorist extraordinaire, Eric (a true master and color genius,) and this time, I must rave about my stylist. I chose Ryan, solely, because his bio on the Bella Rinova website specifically states that he specializes in long hair styles. Well, he is a true artist. But this is what makes a GREAT stylist: he didn't ask me what I wanted. We agreed on the amount to cut (I took 6 inches off the length,) and then he went to work. He has the confidence and ability to pull that off, working purely on instinct. He's the pro, so I didn't question him. He executed with such precision and brevity, I didn't dare. And when he was finished, he simply explained what he did and why he did it. The result: looking in the mirror, I thought, "dang, I look UH-MAZE-ING!" Isn't that the result we all seek? I'm in love with this cut, and it has nothing to do with what I thought I wanted, because Ryan did ask me. He did what a great stylist should be able to do: he seized control and brilliantly executed with sheer perfection. Bravo! read more

I'm originally from Los Angeles and I tried 4 separate salons in Houston and had HORRIBLE experiences with every single one (my hair broke off right before my wedding) so I continued to go to California. Two days ago I went to Raquel and I finally feel comfortable and trust someone with my hair and highly recommend her. I have never had someone sit down and genuinely discuss my goals and this is what makes him an expert in his field. He is meticulous and focuses on every detail while incorporating his clients goals and desires. He not only restored my hair to perfect health but also helped me regain my confidence after living with over a year of damage to my hair. He is a genius with color - blond is a challenging color to do correctly on someone with dark brown hair and he makes it look incredibly natural. There's also a lot of natural light coming in from all the windows, which I think is nice. The front desk was very kind and helpful. Complimentary tea, coffee, or water. I went to see my girl Destiny, she is honestly the BEST! I've been going to see her for a little over 2 years now. I follow her wherever she goes. I originally have very dark hair and she's a blonde specialist which is what I've been wanting to do for a long time. She has achieved my goal of going blonde without all the damage that comes with it and for that I'm very thankful. I have an attachment to my hair (it reaches down to my bottom) and she has done everything to make sure it stays fresh and healthy! She will not color my hair if she thinks it'll fall out. I am extremely unhappy with the lack of communication and timely call backs from Bella Rinova. After not receiving "timely call backs" twice about available appointments with specific a hair stylist, I requested to have the owner call me. Instead, I get a call back from the manager who is the one who had not called me back twice with "time sensitive" information. When spending the amount of money, I have spent at this high-end salon I would expect better call back responses a well as customer service. read more

It is beautiful and luxurious but despite showing my stylist a picture of a partial balayage and booking for a balayage I got the same old, same old full head of foil high lights I've always had but paid almost twice the amount.
