Poor Business Practices. I had to reschedule my hair appointment during the Jan. winter storm, and received an inappropriate follow up call from the owner, Lynnette Davis. As a long-standing client of this salon, I was faced with a scolding "cancellation policy" response. No other rescheduling solutions were provided. I then decided this was no longer the salon of luxury and decided to not reschedule at all. Consumers can choose to spend their $400 hair expense anywhere they are treated with respect. Three hours later, I received an infringing call at my place of employment from Lynnette Davis. She was accusing me of lying about Black ice safety and icy road conditions. Tracked me down at my job to validate her narrative and validate her irrational customer treatment. Poor leadership and poor business practices. I have been on the hunt for a go-to hairstylist for routine haircuts for a while now, and after my recent visit, it's safe to say I still haven't found one. This is a gorgeous salon with fast and friendly service. It's very clean and spacious with lots of lighting so it feels very comfortable. I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars, because I'm only jacking down the rating because I don't LOVE my haircut. I scheduled an appointment with Alex, and he was very quick to take care of me. He's a very chill, friendly guy, but I couldn't help but to feel like my haircut was rushed and almost careless. I don't hate my haircut, because it wasn't that drastic of a change anyways, but I don't feel the best about it. All in all, the experience was pretty great but my results were not so great. I chose Ryan, solely, because his bio on the Bella Rinova website specifically states that he specializes in long hair styles. Well, he is a true artist. But this is what makes a GREAT stylist: he didn't ask me what I wanted. We agreed on the amount to cut (I took 6 inches off the length,) and then he went to work. He has the confidence and ability to pull that off, working purely on instinct. He's the pro, so I didn't question him. He executed with such precision and brevity, I didn't dare. And when he was finished, he simply explained what he did and why he did it. The result: looking in the mirror, I thought, "dang, I look UH-MAZE-ING!" Isn't that the result we all seek? I'm in love with this cut, and it has nothing to do with what I thought I wanted, because Ryan did ask me. I'm originally from Los Angeles and I tried 4 separate salons in Houston and had HORRIBLE experiences with every single one (my hair broke off right before my wedding) so I continued to go to California. I went earlier in February for a haircut, that was my first time being there. The salon is so beautiful and clean. There's also a lot of natural light coming in from all the windows, which I think is nice. The front desk was very kind and helpful. Complimentary tea, coffee, or water. I went to see my girl Destiny, she is honestly the BEST! I've been going to see her for a little over 2 years now. I follow her wherever she goes. I originally have very dark hair and she's a blonde specialist which is what I've been wanting to do for a long time. She has achieved my goal of going blonde without all the damage that comes with it and for that I'm very thankful. I have an attachment to my hair (it reaches down to my bottom) and she has done everything to make sure it stays fresh and healthy! She will not color my hair if she thinks it'll fall out. She really truly cares and I love that. I'm sure everyone at the salon is great, I saw everyone in there getting well taken care of & smiles everywhere. Great environment!
