When I called to make the appointment, they were quick to answer and it was very easy to schedule. I went for a basic women's haircut which was $75. Lilian was friendly and clearly cared about doing a great job, listening to how I was wanting the hair to be cut. Going from longer hair to a shoulder length cut along with a shampoo and dry all took just under an hour. I am definitely interested in coming back! They're located on the second floor of a plaza with lots of parking, although it can be busy.

If your salon is so heavily booked that you are unable to accommodate new clients, I completely understand. However, potential clients should simply be told that upfront rather than spending weeks attempting to schedule an appointment that is never confirmed. Professionalism begins before a customer ever walks through the door, and unfortunately, my experience trying to become a client was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere.

I've been growing out my hair for 2 years and wanted to find a salon that would help me with donating my hair as well as giving me a cute style for my new short look. We'll get into the wonderful salon experience in a moment. First I'd like to talk about, well the most important part, my haircut and style. I saw Martin and he is just amazing! He listened to my request in wanting to donate my hair and how I needed it sectioned and cut. He was thoughtful in making sure what length I was comfortable cutting off and how I wanted to be able to style my hair. I am SO excited about my cut and style - it's exactly what I envisioned. I won't lie I was nervous cutting my hair so short, as I usually have it long, but there was nothing to worry about because my hair looks better than it was before and that's all thanks to Martin. Now, apart from the expertise Martin displayed with cutting and styling my hair, the salon is just lovely. Everything from the person I spoke with when booking my appointment to the tea served in the lovely tea set was an absolute pleasure. You can tell everyone working there is professional and there to make you feel special, which I certainly did. While I only received a haircut, it felt like so much more and I've learned via their Instagram that they specialize in multiple services. For the past year or two I've been wanting to get a shag haircut. I came to Angie while she was at another shop and as soon as I told her what I wanted to do, it was like she already had the image of what she wanted to create! She brought out a new curly/wavy look to my hair that I never knew could happen. She informed me that she would be moving to this salon and upon coming here for my next cut I instantly fell in love. Not only do I love Angie but the rest of the staff are amazing and super nice too! My favorite part of the shop is the waiting area. Once you enter the shop they ask you if you'd like any refreshments (I enjoy getting tea the most because you get your own cute personal tea set while you're there) and you get to wait in this vintage style section of the shop. You can watch whatever movie or show they have playing and take in the calm atmosphere. It's very relaxing. Last time I went for a haircut I was also able to get a deep condition treatment in the back which is also relaxing as they have the lights dimmed and soothing music playing. I also enjoy how Angie taught me how to style my hair, gave me product recommendations, gave me a little photo shoot against the angel wall, and is overall such a pleasant person to converse with. So I started going to HbSR about three months ago, but only out of coincidence. I had stopped by to visit my best friend as she was getting her hair done, and I remember from the moment I walked in, I felt this strong sense of hospitality, and warmth. Everyone was so welcoming and SO friendly! I quickly met the owner, Tim, who not only is a hair genius, but has the most calming and friendly spirit. As I sat there with my friend, hanging out with Tim and the rest of this team, we got on the subject of coloring hair, and I had told them that I had ALWAYS wanted to try it. And so, right there they booked me an appointment with Jordan the following day! So I came back the next day to color my hair, and not only is Jordan super cute and sweet, but he did an amazing job!!! (check out my IG if you wanna see...@pnalampoon) Since then, I've been back a few more times for touchups, a cut, and a full recolor, and I have to say that at times I can be a little high-maintenance, however every single time Jordan has gone above and beyond to give me exactly what I want. For as long as I'm living here in Houston I will always go to HbSR and to see Jordan. I've been going to Hair By Saint Rose since January of this year and it has been the best salon I've gone to thus far! Sarah is an amazing stylist. She creates magic with her curly cuts, steam treatments & everything in between! I think what I love the most though is their diversity in stylists and clientele. In the past I have never been able to walk into a high caliber salon and feel as comfortable as I do when I walk into Hair By Saint Rose. Mostly because the other salons had no one who looked like me or knew how to cut and style naturally curly hair (I'm African American btw). If best they blew my naturally curly hair pin straight & then went over it with a flat iron, causing major damage to my hair as a result. Thank you Hair By Saint Rose for seeing me, acknowledging me and letting me walk in and out of the salon with my naturally culy haired self. This is a true salon that welcomes all hair types & textures. I rarely post reviews on Yelp, but want to say that the ENTIRE team at Hair by Saint Rose is exceptional!!! I have gone to Timothy, the owner for over 12 years, and in the last few years I have had other members of his team do my hair when Tim is fully booked. I can honestly say that I have been very happy with ALL the cuts or blowouts (I'm very particular, as my hair is very thick and took me half my adult life to find a stylist who gets my type of Asian hair) I've received from the other stylist as each of them are required to go to continual education with Kevin Murphy on the latest techniques and trends in the hair industry. In other words, these folks KNOW HAIR, and though I don't color my hair and I know they are the BEST in the city as I see so many ladies come through over the years and their hair color looks so natural and customized for their skin colors. Omg. This. Salon. If I could give it a ten star review I would. I moved to Houston in October of 2013 and have never found a salon or stylist that worked for me; I can be a tad high maintenance about my hair. I was referred to Sam at Hair by Saint Rose and I can truly say it is the best cut and balayage I have ever had. Sam started off with a very in-depth consultation. She asked a lot of questions to make sure she was able to give me exactly what I wanted. I felt like she really listened and took the time to get to know what I wanted. Timothy, the owner, stopped by to chat a few times as Sam was doing my hair. He is extremely kind and very professional! The decor of the salon is incredible! There is so much attention to detail throughout the entire salon. It's beautiful and fun, while also being warm and inviting. I can truly say this is the best my hair has ever looked. Martin Ibarra specializes in hair, styling, color and avant-garde makeup. He is so good that I followed him from Heritage to Hair by Saint Rose. There is no other stylist that I would go, only him, and I have previously been to almost every boutique salon in the inner loop area. Upon walking into Saint Rose, you are immediately greeted and offered a beverage of your choice, from water to a crisp Brut or Rose. Well decorated in an older era's style, walking into this house takes one back to another time. The decor is of a unique personal touch, as if the entire salon is built for you, that is how attentive the wonderful people that work here treat you. I have been seeing Timothy for about ten years, but this was my first trip to his salon. I am in love with the décor, and everyone is so friendly and lovely! It's more like coming into a family home than a typical salon. Timothy knows how to make you feel right at home, even offering champagne as I walked in the door! My haircut was long due, as I had been growing my hair for donation for two years. He gave me a beautiful cut, which is so versatile and fun. I find myself playing with it whenever I catch sight of myself in a mirror. The colour is vibrant and gorgeous, and exactly what I was after. There's nothing that puts a smile on my face quite like seeing the colours in the light. Hair by Saint Rose is nothing short of amazing. First of all, the salon is STUNNING and Timothy (stylist/owner) has thought of everything. From the hot tea presented on antique china to every detail of the salon. It is pristine. Additionally, every stylist is incredible. I have gone to both Timothy and Ramiro for cut and color and both are extremely talented. Ramiro did my hair for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier. You can't go wrong with any stylist and each vary by price, based on experience. No matter who you go to, you will get the best service and without a doubt leave happier than when you walked in. I could not recommend this Hair by Saint Rose more! I came in with two-tone hair from a previous salon's mistake and Samantha (Sam) gave me my DREAM hair! She's the only person I trust to color my hair now! She knew exactly what I wanted and completely corrected the mistake made by the other salon, and was incredibly kind and personable! The salon has a beautiful interior, the stylists are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service is top notch. I was offered coffee when I came in, and not only did I get coffee, but a full coffee tray service! It came with a personal french press, beautiful china cup, creamer, and a variety of sugar options. From the get go he sat with me and listened to my wants and concerns and he knocked it out the park...truly! Color was spot on perfect for me as well as the styling! I've been searching for a place that can achieve that beach wave messy look and I finally found it! Other popular salons do not come anywhere close! Great salon for men and women! The salon is decorated in such a classy manner and definitely plays a significant role in the top notch experience there. The staff are all polite and friendly. Definitely going to be my go to place for a haircut! I've been getting my hair cut by Sarah. She's absolutely incredible! I've been seeing Martin for two years now and I could not be happier. Not only is he an amazing stylist, but the salon has taken drastic measures to ensure the health of safety of their clients. To be honest, I was kind of nervous about visiting the salon since they reopened after the stay at home order, but all fears were gone as soon as I stepped into the salon. Everything was impeccably clean, and the receptionist was diligently checking temperatures and administering hand sanitizer. With only two stylists working in the entire space at a time, I felt super safe in the space. Martin once again gave me an amazing cut-- easy to style and perfect for summer. This place is a dream. My hair was a mess from my old hair place and Martin knew exactly what to do. He explained everything well and my hair looks a million times better- natural, healthy and the most flattering color/ tone. I love it so much!! I wish I would have found this salon sooner. After moving back to Houston from living overseas, I was thrilled that a friend recommended Martin Ibarra to me! His coloring and styling techniques are amazing! The new salon is easy to get to, sells Kevin Murphy products (which I LOVE), and has Martin! He will style your hair next to an amazing window with natural light so you will really see just how fab your hair looks. I went to Hair by Saint Rose for the first time last week. I followed my hair dresser, Roe (Ramiro), from a different salon. I've been going to him for a few years now and love him! He always does a wonderful job and I know my color and cut will always look great. He does my balayage highlights and they always look very natural. I loved the salon too! I didn't know what to expect, but everyone was so nice and welcoming. It was a much smaller salon than his previous location, and I like it so much better! I totaled my car in a snowstorm outside Boston at the start of March, an accident, not a choice, not something I scheduled around a hair appointment for fun. While I was busy figuring out how to get to a meeting in Minneapolis and my car 3,000 miles home, a hair appointment didn't fit into that equation on any level. I didn't get my usual reminder text before the appointment, like I always do so that at least I would've had a reminder to let them know what happened to me. I did get a voicemail DAY OF, half of which transcribed before cutting off, a name I didn't recognize, sounding exactly like the other 100 spam calls I get daily. I ignored it. Forgive me for not intuiting that it was salon-related while dealing with a totaled car in another state. When I finally went back in, I apologized, showed them photos of my car wrecked in snow, taken just days before the missed appointmen and still got handed a $98 cancellation FEE for an accident I didn't cause and couldn't have predicted. A lifetime of getting my hair done, never once missing an appointment without calling until that day, this was a first. Fine. I paid it anyway. I just wanted my hair done.Then my stylist informed me my red needed " to be evened out." My hair was the same red it had always been, I have the photos. She did my hair less than a couple of months before this, the color I came in with that I liked. The ONLY instruction I gave was no brown. I left brown. Full brown, gray showing through, at closing time, with Casey telling me she would fix it.The blowout was its own insult. I started paying $15 extra for flat-iron because I travel and needed it to last, not because the blowout itself was ever the problem. I have years of photos proving she could do a smooth blowout with zero flat iron involved. This time, paying extra for the upgrade, I got a blowout that didn't survive three hours, it was a frizz bomb. From the time I started using the flat iron to make my blowout last for work is the time she forgot how to do blowouts. Checkout was $358, about $150 over my normal total, because the $98 fee got folded silently into the bill, and I tipped on the entire thing without realizing it. Let me be very clear: I will tip generously on service. I will not, ever, knowingly tip on a FEE charged to me because of a car accident that wasn't my fault. There was no service in that FEE. There was no styling, no skill, no time in the chair, just a charge for missing an appointment I forgot about while dealing with a totaled vehicle 3,000 miles from home. When I called to ask for that specific gratuity be refunded, not the fee, just the tip stacked on top of it, I was told the stylist "gets the fee and the tip," like I was trying to take money out of her pocket. I wasn't. I was correcting an honest mistake on a bill I wasn't paying close attention to after a stressful, exhausting day. Their response was to call back and inform me they no longer wanted me as a customer. When I texted asking if my color could at least be corrected, I was met with silence. My hair is brown at this very minute trying to figure out how to come up with $200 more to fix the problem they created.And then my sister went in. I didn't warn her off, she'd had a hard time finding a stylist and didn't want to lose her appointment, and that's her call to make. Casey, the stylist, told her that her hair was greasy, hair that is dry, porous, and curly, and has never been oily a minute in its life. Along the way, the stylist told her she needed to brush her hair, as if she just rolled out of bed and came into the salon. It didn't need to be brushed, her hair is DRY, PORUS and CURLY, not unbrushed. Proceeding to her own color, my sister tried to explain what she actually wanted, light brown hair but while reiterating that to make sure it was done, Casey sneered, 'Is this going to be a Nickolle thing?' Keep my name out of your mouth. You don't get to talk about me like that while taking $400 from my sister. ANYWAY. The result: my sister wanted lighter. She left darker, with at least three colors woven in including the purple she specifically paid to have removed, and gray still very much present and accounted for. $400, and somehow the hair went the opposite direction of every single thing she asked for. They offered to let her come back in and put a small amount of highlights. As if, she's not letting anybody from that salon touch her hair ever again. Free or not. No thanks.Two appointments, two completely botched results, and a staff that responds to legitimate complaints by firing the customer instead of fixing the work. Disgusting.

Andy answered the phone and was so professional and KIND that I decided it couldn't be that scary and booked the first appointment they had available for the day-- didn't want to lose my nerve! People get their hair done every day right? There is a wee parking lot, but there are reserved spaces for the salon. The interior is modern, clean, and open. There was music on, but not too loud and not too soft. The temperature was perfect, I'm usually cold all the time everywhere. They have little smocks for customers to wear, that probably helped too. Andy gave me a quick tour, and I sat down to wait for my stylist. I had booked with Carl and he was very friendly, polite, and calm. He was attentive and did a wonderful job helping me decide exactly what I wanted. Throughout the entire process he would inform me what he was doing and why, and was overall extremely pleasant to have a conversation with! I was really happy with the cut and style-- Carl did a fantastic job and is a true professional. Contactless payment made everything easy, and you pay for services first and then use a separate system for gratuity. Overall a wonderful experience and very lovely people!

Daniel said the stylist left the formula and he would follow it. I did not get a blow out because I was going to get my hair wet the next day and didn't want to waste $100 (It was already $200 with tip!) plus, if he followed the formula it wouldn't matter. Well, he didn't! Not only did he leave a big chunk of gray in the front, the roots were much lighter and there was an obvious demarcation line on my very dark hair. He got upset and offended when I went back and asked if he followed the formula. He told me my entire head was full of demarcation lines. It's not! He was rude, combative, and unprofessional. I will never go back and I suggest you do your research - overpriced and a waste of money for screwing up a simple root touch up.

The only thing I didn't like was the way she combed my wet hair. I have bleached/processed hair so I wish she would've combed gently from the bottom but she started at the top and was a little rough. But I only get my hair cut twice a year so I'd still go back!

She explained completely what she was going to do and gave me a budget on how much it would be. I paid my deposit and set up the appointment for the "procedure" . During my service she and the rest of the team were super friendly and fun you can tell they're very knowledgeable about their craft and work together as a team. Again the salon is super clean, I love the vibes as they play smooth R&B, I felt really comfortable knowing that Rosalie was going to get it done. I absolutely love the results! I came in asking for a simple trim, about one inch off, and a very subtle face frame. I also made it clear multiple times that I did not want layers. Instead, I left with a head full of layers and what appears to be at least three inches cut off the back instead of the one inch I requested. During the haircut, I could tell it was heading in the direction I specifically asked to avoid, so I reiterated that I didn't want layers. Despite that, the haircut continued the same way. When I asked afterward why I had been given layers, I was initially told they weren't layers. Once I pointed them out bc they clearly were, I was told, "It looks better that way," and "It will grow out." I don't appreciate the attempt to gaslight me as if I can't see the cut and don't know how long my hair was. A stylist's personal preference should never override what a client explicitly requests. Hair takes months to grow back, and this isn't something that can simply be undone. Disappointed that the experience did not live up to the online reputation. This seems to be such a common issue. Why?!

I needed a curly-hair, dry-cut and color/highlight pro; Cara goes above and beyond with helping me maintain a beautiful curly cut and color! She also got me through chemo through all of 2022. Cara was so supportive when my hair fell out, gave me an epic buzz cut, let me know when it was time to shave it off completely, and then stuck by me as my curls grew back out. She also always does a beautiful job on my hair color/root touch-up and highlights. 100/10 recommend Cara! On the few occasions when she has been unavailable, Rachel, Meg, and Jen have also been fantastic. Every time I'm at Bleach Salon, it's clear that many customers are regulars, all of the staff produce great cuts, and everyone is really nice. Also, their coffee is very, very good! :)
