UPDATE: 8/09/2026 -- In response to the owner's comment: Your response makes it clear that you did not fully understand my original review, which unfortunately reflects the same communication issue I experienced while trying to book an appointment. I went back and forth attempting to schedule for weeks and tried to book on three separate occasions. When I finally called and someone answered, there was a significant communication barrier, and the call ultimately ended with the person hanging up on me. You're correct that I've never received a service at your salon--but that is precisely the point of my review. I repeatedly tried to become a customer and was unable to successfully book an appointment. My review is about the customer service and booking experience I personally received. If your salon is so heavily booked that you are unable to accommodate new clients, I completely understand. However, potential clients should simply be told that upfront rather than spending weeks attempting to schedule an appointment that is never confirmed. Professionalism begins before a customer ever walks through the door, and unfortunately, my experience trying to become a client was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere.

I have nothing but magnificent comments about Marbella's Spa & Salon. The staff is very courteous and always treats every individual attentively and respectfully. They will always abide and respect your scheduled appointment. They are nice, friendly and very helpful. I cannot emphasize enough the professionalism that they offer; it is a huge perk that goes hand-in-hand with their many years of experience in the field. A little background about me, I would like to say that I had never found a place where I can call my "home" hair stylist or hair colorist. I was introduced to Marbella's a year and a half ago, and I have been a loyal customer ever since. I have seen, in many occasions, how the owners and all of the staff work very hard to show their professionalism and experience. This is one of the many qualities this salon offers, and why I always return. Also, the fact that I have never waited more than 5 minutes to get in to see my stylist or hair colorist is a huge plus! Rosie and Eduardo are amazing! I always walk in there with a vision and Rosie sees my vision and creates it ten times better than I expected. Then, I see Eduardo and he will top it off ten times more with the cut and style. Something else worth mentioning is that I like the fact that they are always using the latest tools and technology for your hair! They have the latest of the latest to make you look and feel great! I can honestly say that my expectations are always met and exceeded. I cannot say enough good things of this salon, it is definitely worth going to Marbella's, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. read more

I have been going to Marbella Salon for the past 6 years and I have been absolutely thrilled and happy with the haircuts I've gotten with them. Eduardo is a master at his craft and is constantly keeping his skills and knowledge up to date -- up-to-date trends, up-to-date culture styles, and up-to-date skills of the trade. For the first 3 years we focused on a very long (as in 80's rocker hair) hairstyle, which came out very well (it's my first time experimenting with that long hair); for the next 2 years we focused on a medium-long hairstyle, which also came out excellent; for the last year, we have focused on a short-medium hairstyle, which I am thoroughly enjoying at the moment. Here are my recommendations: 1. Take a picture of the style you want and show it to Eduardo -- he will get it right -- trust me on that 2. Although I've had experience only with Eduardo, I'm certain the other stylists are just as good -- my recommendation is to stick with one stylist for all of your visits -- that way you can be assured that your intended style is not going to get messed up down the road Finally, their locations off of Montrose is gorgeous -- well lit, clean, and upbeat -- you'll enjoy the experience! read more

Avoid This Unprofessional Salon at All Costs I cannot overstate how frustrating and unprofessional my experience was with this salon. I made an appointment for my son, scheduling it for the day before Christmas. This appointment was confirmed by the salon, so I planned our busy holiday schedule around it. As the appointment time approached, I received a text from the salon asking to reschedule the appointment two hours later. While inconvenient, I rearranged our entire family's plans to accommodate their request. Then, shockingly, they texted me again saying they couldn't fit us in at all and that the appointment would have to be rescheduled for after Christmas! This is beyond unprofessional. It shows zero respect for their customers' time and commitments. Now, we are stuck going through the Christmas holiday with messy hair because, at this late stage, it's impossible to find another appointment elsewhere. Their careless and dismissive attitude completely ruined our holiday plans, and I will never trust this salon again. If you value your time and sanity, stay far away! read more

I leave never been the type to commit fully to a hair stylist. For the longest I would just jump from hair dresser to hair dresser because I never found one that has completely made me happy 100% of the time, until I came across Marbella. I did a quick google search to find somewhere to cut my hair because I was beginning to look nappy as hell. I came across Eduardo's work and immediately fell in love that I had to check him out ASAP. I booked my first appointment and I've been committed to him cutting my hair for nearly a year now. Eduardo has the magic touch when it comes to hair. My hair has honestly never looked more healthier. He's patient and precise when it comes to cutting you hair, and his shampooing scalp massages are bomb as hellll. I highly suggest y'all check them out. The staff is extremely friendly every time I go in. The atmosphere of the salon is relaxing as hell. I went to Marbella based on a recommendation from a co-worker and friend. I have long hair, and wanted a fairly simple and affordable cut. I got exactly this, along with great customer service! Jeromy cut my hair, and he was great. I've been to many salons before, but this was one of the first times that the stylist took the time to actually recognize my hair type and ask me about my hair care routine. Jeromy wasn't pushy and didn't tell me things I should/shouldn't be doing to my hair; but rather, when I asked more questions, he was very helpful and clearly knowledgable about what would be best for my hair type. He took the time to listen and explain different suggestions that he made, which I really appreciated. He also gave me input on certain hair care products, but was not pushy about trying to get me to purchase anything (I did end up purchasing the Angel products which I love!). Overall, a great experience and I will be back. read more

What do 5 stars really mean? All up to the individual right? When I walked out of Marabella salon I was raising my hands in the air RAISE EM LIKE YOU JUST DONT CARE!! SMILING WITH JOY OVER MY PIXIE CUT AND THAT I HAD MADE A NEW FRIEND IN EDUARDO. So, let me start with the facts. And my pockets emptied. This time I googled "best pixie in houston" and Marabella appeared. I called and Eduardo listened, told me he was confident in his abilities, and booked a consultation. My wife and I have been getting our hair cut by Eduardo for a long time now, but when it came to her wedding hair and makeup she decided to go with a traditional airbrush and updo - and she said that was a big mistake. The stylist and makeup artist she booked with skipped down and she found out just three days before her bridal portrait. Luckily I was getting my hair cut that day and asked Eduardo for advice and he said Victoria at the salon could come in (on her day off!) and do her hair and makeup. She thought it was absolutely stunning and was the perfect natural elegant look that she wanted. So she booked Victoria to do her wedding hair and makeup. So through the years I have had a tough time finding a hairstylist who not only could do a great job on their own, but also listened to exactly what I wanted. Thank goodness I finally found Shayna! I actually know her from before she started work at Marbella and I am really glad she is going to be able to take her talents to a trendier area in Houston. Vibe is energetic and the salon has been updated to be airy and bright. I generally get the wash, haircut, blow dry and style and so far on time service and very pleased with my hair. Jose is a great stylist and explains everything well. Pricing is reasonable given the area. It's good to have a relationship with your hair care team. Highly recommended for hair care needs.

I'm so desperate for a cut, because my regular hairstylist is booked for months out. Needless to say, when you find a good hairstylist, take their name, schedule your next visit in advance because they fill up fast. However I am very keen on giving people a chance, today I granted David a chance, he had availability that fit my schedule. I came in, promptly greeted, paid my 50% deposit online at the time of booking. Booked service for cut, and style, let him know the specifics of what I wanted. I want long layers, but it doesn't need to be exact, it can be a rough cut, just want my ends trimmed, and thinned out/ texturized. Things were so seamless, that I questioned if he put heat protectant spray before blow drying my hair. Which he did, but it's important for me to ask anyway... A tip; No person on earth can just read your mind, so say what you want, and ask questions along the way and if the vibe isn't right, you know what to do! I'm happy with my results for my cut, and he asked if I was happy with length, and texture/ thickness/ thinness and more. Hair grows folks, so don't be too harsh! Enjoy!

An Incredible Transformation!…read more Bogdan is truly one of the most talented hairstylists I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He is professional, charismatic, energetic, and an absolute gem! I came in wanting a complete transformation--from dark brunette to blonde--and Bogdan absolutely nailed every aspect of it. From the color and tone to the incredible care he took throughout the process to protect the health of my hair, he exceeded my expectations. My hair still has amazing length, vibrancy, and movement, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The transformation is beyond what I imagined! I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about Bogdan and my experience at The Upper Hand. If you're looking for an unbelievable transformation, a stylist who truly cares about your hair, and someone who can bring your vision to life, I highly recommend Bogdan and The Upper Hand!

She even offered to add more layers if I wanted at a later date if I got home and decided he wasn't enough. There was also a deep conditioning treatment that I wasn't expecting (included in the price of the cut) which made the total experience a little under 2 hours but it was worth it. The only thing I didn't like was the way she combed my wet hair. I have bleached/processed hair so I wish she would've combed gently from the bottom but she started at the top and was a little rough. But I only get my hair cut twice a year so I'd still go back!

I was in a rush that day, so I only briefly saw the front pieces after a quick blow-dry before leaving. Once I got home and styled my hair, I noticed the highlights were very uneven, with one side noticeably lighter than the other. I reached out to have it corrected, but the available times didn't work with my travel plans. I was later advised to request a refund (paid cash but couldn't go back to pick it up as I was already out of town), the front desk was kind and apologetic about the situation. I am disappointed with the final result, these are not blended the way I wanted. Just experience overall was bad. P.S. I've emailed them and haven't gotten a response back.

I am saddened to write this review, honestly. I have been coming to this salon for over 3 years…read more The stylist that I had been seeing left and when she did, the salon sent me an email letting me know this and offering 30% off and a free treatment. There was no expiration date, it just says "next service". So while I was planning on finding another salon initially, I was pulled in by the offer, plus the stylist that would have done my hair is very nice and I was familiar with her. Seemed like a win win. However, upon checking in, I decided to ask about the email and I was told that it no longer applied. I was offered 10% off, then 15%. While that is nice, that is not what was emailed to me. I mean to be fair, I didn't ask them for a discount, they emailed ME. So I left, then came back to show the lady the email, so she knew I was not making this up lol. She then said ok fine we can do it at 30% off, but the vibe felt off by then. It was awkward for me, which is 100% my problem, but I kind of felt like I would be begging for a discount...that was offered to me before I got there lol. Anyway, I decided to just leave and with that, I am no longer a client at this salon. There are so many places to go in Houston, I'd rather spend my money at a place that honors their word without prompting. Note: it wasn't until I said that I would be updating my Yelp review that they could suddenly do the 30% off. The stylists here are really nice and the salon itself is nice too, but this threw me off.
