I am having problematic issues with one of my alarm sensors. Unfortunately, I am facing the same terrible problems with customer service quality as other customers. I continue to get a message that says "You are 2nd in line", yet I was still kept on hold for minutes on end with no one coming on the line to assist me. After 20 minutes, I gave up and left my number for a representative to call me back. But I have a strong suspicion that no one will be returning my call today, if ever. I really wish that Safeguard hadn't sold to AAA Smart Home. What a disaster! :( read more

My husband and I recently had a full house Smart Home security system installed by Philippe, Billy, and Ying from AAA Smart Home and they were fabulous. They were responsive, knowledgeable, walked my husband and I through all the options for our security system and did not add on any unnecessary features. Would give a zero star if available. The absolute WORST business I've ever dealt with in every way. Do not use this company for a home alarm system. I just called for the 5th time this month (both of my sisters each have called repeatedly too for the same issue) yet the agent literally just said he could not set up an appointment for a technician to come out. He said only tech support can do that but they aren't answering him as he calls them for me. Great! So I ask for the direct line and he says he doesn't have one. What?! I also asked him what "supervisory alert" meant since I keep getting this text alert from them weekly and sometimes daily even when I'm out of the country on vacation. He said he did not know exactly what "supervisory alert" meant. For the love of something holy how the hell do you not know what your own texts mean?! I don't know if it's a simple comm issue or if someone broke into my house, the agent should know. Three of us are calling for over a month now since we all receive these texts/emails and other "trouble alerts" texts. And this has happened longer than one month. So I finally did have a technician come out (must've been on the phone with "tech support" when i booked that) and he said he fixed it (this is 4 days ago). Obviously he did not because I'm still receiving these texts and the system is still beeping for no reason. I was informed that I would pay the $125/hour technician fee plus parts because get this, the parts only have a 30 day warranty. So the system that they made me upgrade to 8 months ago not only is out of warranty but it has already failed!! They only guarantee their parts for 30 days? They must be crappy parts. So I guess I just paid for a second crappy alarm in 8 months that does not work and paid $125/hour to install it both times. Meanwhile the clowns on the phone cannot answer any basic questions about their own company and can't even set up a technician appointment over the phone without tech support who doesn't answer THEIR phone calls (intra-company) so I cannot setup an appointment on this call. Yay! I get to call again tomorrow for more Sesame Street conversations with no solutions. Meanwhile I have no idea which alert if any is someone breaking into my house or if it's their three dollar equipment failing. Between faulty equipment, nonstop texts alerts, clueless call center agents, 30 day warranties on parts, and $125/hour to fix their faulty equipment and the worst customer service on the planet, I am surprised this company even exists. I'm sure they're riding on the coattails of AAA roadside service division service of their company because it is a polar opposite experience from them. Don't be fooled by the "AAA" in the name of this company. It's a sham company that will provide you with nothing more than wasted time weekly, headaches, anxiety, wasted money, zero security, zero answers, zero reliability. We inherited this company when Safeguard sold out to them. What a shame. read more

I usually don't leave negative reviews but after reading other reviewers having similar issues as I have experienced, I have to share my dissatisfaction with AAA Smart Home. I made a service call and set up an appointment back in October 2021 (4 months ago). My system had stopped communicating and they couldn't fix it over the phone. No one showed up and no one called to follow up. I sent them an email letting them know but still no response. Yet I continued to be billed. Now, February 2022, I am getting calls and emails daily to set up an appointment to install my "new" system. Yet no one has addressed the fact that my security system has not been working for 4 months and no one has reached out to try to fix this issue. I'm not sure this is the kind of security company I feel comfortable with going forward. Not impressed with their customer service at all. read more

We recently switched over to AAA Smart Home and are very happy with our decision. The installation was thorough and we really appreciated the full home assessment before they began installing the equipment that day. By doing this step, this enabled us to make better choices that better reflect how we would use the system. We really like the pads and the smart device interface. Without a doubt THE WORST COMPANY I have ever been involved. I was probably on hold nearly 30 hours in the past 3-4 weeks as their technicians tried to remove a medical device from the memory of my alarm system. I will say they were all very nice and polite, but absolutely no clue to fix my issue. Even in emergency situations the reply is, "UNFORTUNQATELY, no repair persons are available until tomorrow at noon. Someone will call you when they are available." My alarm panel wend dead over the weekend. I called AAA Smart Home Monday and a tech tried to walk me through re-setting the panel. We scheduled a tech, Kevin, between 10-12 Wednesday. Kevin and Jack arrived promptly at 10 am and informed the panel was faulty and they would replace it. In addition they found several of my alarm sensors faulty and replaced those as well and the power source to my panel was fried. They re-routed the power source. Extremely knowledgeable, courteous and user-friendly. I have been a customer for years with Safeguard Security prior to AAA Smart Home purchasing the company. I was a little concerned that customer service and satisfaction would suffer due to the expanse of their customer base. Quite the contrary! Preposterous vacations services. I left town to visit my dying mom in Arkansas and decided to use AAA's Services to take care of my house while I was gone. I installed cameras inside my house to make sure that nothing sketchy happened. From the first day I saw that a patrol officer would use my bathroom when I specifically told them they were not allowed in any way to enter any of the rooms. I figured I wouldn't contact them about them right away and just deal with it when I got back. After I came back, the first thing I notice is the mail and newspapers that I received in the two weeks that I was gone DUMPED IN THE DRIVEWAY!! I had very important legal documents of a beautiful blonde kid that we are adopting and THESE people just left it OUT ON THE STREETS. I was so upset by this, only to find out that the patrol officer that had used the restroom EVERY DAY never flushed the toilet! I was so disappointed that I started crying right then and there. I was trying to find the best company for my security needs and end up with a lemon for a company. They installed the equipment and made it imperative that I had "to" sign up for autopay which was fine. Instead of taking the payment out the first month, they didn't take it out for 3 months. I called to discuss what happened and to discuss my options for canceling the equipment contract since it was tied to the payments only to get transferred to different departments...they didn't want to hear this. So I'm saying all this so consumers beware...companies don't live of to the hype/marketing/advertisment!!! read more

We were comparing systems and found that most systems are pretty much similar. Price and quality were important to us but of course, customer service is of the utmost priority. AAA Smart Home is wonderful. From sales (with Daniel) to the installation and training (with Wes), the whole experience was pleasant and painless. Wes took his time with the installation to make sure we had everything where we wanted it to be. He also was very patient in teaching us how to operate our alarm system. Unfortunately, our doorbell system was not compatible with theirs but Wes was quick to the rescue. He immediately recommended the right doorbell which we had to order from Lowe's. Daniel was quick to reschedule a follow up visit. When we got the doorbell, Wes made sure that the installation of the new doorbell and camera was smooth. I'm not even sure where to begin. The camera on the doorbell and on the control panel would never connect for a live feed if someone was in front of my door. Several times it was armed and I was inside my apartment without disarming it and it never went off. Billing. Lol it really was regular free comedy. I should have known when it took 3A Smart Home 6 months to send me my initial bill. Fast forward 2 years and I'm in the process of moving and asked them how do I cancel my services and uninstall? They then informed me that I still owed on my equipment for 7 months although I was also just informed I couldn't return the the equipment because I owned it!?? So.. which is it??? I then inquired if they could uninstall from my old place and reinstall at my new place and was informed $299 for the uninstall and $199 for the reinstall lol AND it would need to be paid in advance of them scheduling each. Lol. Oh no it gets better. Lol. Since I was also informed someone from Technical Support (and YouTube) lol could assist me with the uninstall I went ahead with that option. Upon doing so I discovered that (and while on the phone with 3A Smarthome TS) the 3A installation guy a few years back failed to inform ask or anything otherwise that he would be drilling a hole in my rented apartment lol why would someone do this?? And best part is 3 weeks later j have yet to hear a peep from this business no apology nothing. Get the Ring. Go through a cable provider. Avoid this business like it's COVID!!!!!!! read more

They bought out Safeguard and we have hated them ever since. Now, they have upgraded our system panels at our cost and they are such a piece of crap compared to the old ones that Safeguard used. The audio part sounds very cheap and you cannot change the voice being used. It is also low volume to where we can hardly hear it and we have the volume level all the way up. A terrible system for any house over 1000- sq ft. You are not going to be able to hear any of the alerts or information which is sort of the point of having an alarm system?? We are currently trying to figure out how to have it all removed in order to go with someone else. Do not sign up with them. I can't believe such a large company would have such poor quality equipment. read more
