I called the main line for ADT and did not know this was the company they transferred my call to (ex: press 2 for residential...) until a man showed up at my house for the appointment. Let me call it right now: ADT is going to lose market share and stock value (ADT) in the next few years. Worst business experience I have had in 10 years out of dealing with thousands of businesses, easily. Wow wow wow. All I can say is their stock is way overvalued based on everything. I feel like I just got a trading tip from a friend on Wall Street. I am still angry and my skin is still crawling, and the guy was here less than 12 hours ago. This is a very real review from a homeowner, and I don't usually write them unless I feel a strong 0 or 5 experience just fyi. I don't have time to write a ton of reviews, but ADT and Safe Streets are going to get special treatment and follow up complaints in AZ and FL for this. Harmful to consumers with a busted business model. I spent half an hour on the phone with Josh, and he advised me that ADT required him, as a licensed service provider (Safe Streets based out of FL, not even an AZ company) to run a soft credit check, get my social security number, and credit card before they could send a rep to my house to give me a quote on repairing their broken system. Josh told me he would throw in free cameras, more cameras, google nest, and all upgrades required no charge. All lies, like unnecessary, waste of time, business bottleneck lies. The service tech pointed out that my whole system was in but my fire alarms weren't working, and I should disconnect it immediately because the system was a fire hazard slowly burning and would catch on fire eventually. OMG!!! I am lucky my house didn't burn down. The sales guy, Josh, told me the day before that my card wouldn't be charged unless I picked an option and renewed services. Before I even got to see the options, I checked and they charged my CC $199 with no authorization. For what exactly?? They lied and had no authorization ever to charge my card. We are embarking on a new, authentic business era, and companies like this will never make it and are rotting to death right now. Consumers, this business is a scam that will eventually go out of business and lose all stock value and investments. I will call it right now as a trader. I will do what I can to protect other consumers, but these companies clearly require state and federal agency intervention to protect them. ADT is a slimy penny stock that's about to have zero market demand. That is how bad my experience was, combined with a brief review of the businesses and stock. And the difference between what the sales guy told me and tricked me into versus what the tech said was insane. I cannot believe they have any customers. You are both committing fraud and deserve no customers. You are part of the dystopian society that just went out of business. You deserve no market share and are an embarrassment to the security industry, which is full of small, fantastic operators who care about their customers and business reputation. A 1 star average on Yelp is rare, the sign of a truly trash business. I will find and confront the CEOs of both companies within the next year and post updates. Buyers, you have been warned!!
